I actually think that the symbols version is not legible enough. But if you insist on keeping pages free of unnecessary boxes, how about like that:

:Readability was an issue with this layout indeed (reason why I didn't template it). Your version is better in that regard indeed. Now the question is whether we prefer this layout over the current one or not -- a question I'll let you guys answer, I do not trust my sense of aesthetics at all --[[User:Homerun-chan|Homerun-chan]] 12:44, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

So, what do you guys think about using kFYatek's version instead of the current one? Skimming through the pages, I think I like his version better for 3 reasons:
# Most pages do not have enough theories to make the boxed version useful; the header would simply use up too much space compared to the actual content. On the other hand, if we do not put the box then there's no "speculah alert"
# Using the same box (or at least the same general layout, even if the colors are different) for both the spoiler alerts and the "fan content alert" makes the design look more unified, and so more streamlined
# This is pretty subjective but I had to play around with my screen's settings (damn Steins;Gate and its dark scenes when it's bright outside), and the boxes looked godawful. May be an issue if anybody actually has their screen set up like mine was. The other version looked okay.
So, what's your opinion on this? On the other hand, the current layout makes the distinction between theories proven right/wrong pretty obvious, so I'd like to have other opinions before changing all the pages {{spoiler|once again}}. --[[User:Homerun-chan|Homerun-chan]] 18:25, 4 June 2011 (UTC)

Version with symbols

Mockup

This section is non-canon.

Everything in this section is fanmade. Hence, please keep in mind that they may not be a reliable source.

 Theories proven right

  • This is a super important theory that has been proven right
    • It is super-important indeed
  • Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Vestibulum vel lectus sapien. Vestibulum elementum, velit eu venenatis viverra, nibh mauris convallis tortor, non mattis augue nunc vehicula velit. Ut non turpis quis ante faucibus porttitor a id eros. Cras vehicula feugiat ultrices. Morbi ut nulla at dolor rutrum tincidunt vitae.
  • Note that a theory is only marked as confirmed when an element from the franchise explicitly goes in the same direction. All other speculah, no matter how likely they seem, should go to the general namespace.

 Theories proven wrong

  • This is a super important theory that has been proven false
    • It is super-important indeed
  • Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Vestibulum vel lectus sapien. Vestibulum elementum, velit eu venenatis viverra, nibh mauris convallis tortor, non mattis augue nunc vehicula velit. Ut non turpis quis ante faucibus porttitor a id eros. Cras vehicula feugiat ultrices. Morbi ut nulla at dolor rutrum tincidunt vitae.
  • Note that a theory is only marked as debunked when an element from the franchise explicitly goes against it. All other speculah, no matter how unlikely they seem, should go to the general namespace.

Unconfirmed theories

  • This is a super important theory that has not be proven anything
    • It is super-important indeed
  • Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit. Vestibulum vel lectus sapien. Vestibulum elementum, velit eu venenatis viverra, nibh mauris convallis tortor, non mattis augue nunc vehicula velit. Ut non turpis quis ante faucibus porttitor a id eros. Readability was an issue with this layout indeed (reason why I didn't template it). Your version is better in that regard indeed. Now the question is whether we prefer this layout over the current one or not -- a question I'll let you guys answer, I do not trust my sense of aesthetics at all --Homerun-chan 12:44, 17 May 2011 (UTC)

So, what do you guys think about using kFYatek's version instead of the current one? Skimming through the pages, I think I like his version better for 3 reasons:

  1. Most pages do not have enough theories to make the boxed version useful; the header would simply use up too much space compared to the actual content. On the other hand, if we do not put the box then there's no "speculah alert"
  2. Using the same box (or at least the same general layout, even if the colors are different) for both the spoiler alerts and the "fan content alert" makes the design look more unified, and so more streamlined
  3. This is pretty subjective but I had to play around with my screen's settings (damn Steins;Gate and its dark scenes when it's bright outside), and the boxes looked godawful. May be an issue if anybody actually has their screen set up like mine was. The other version looked okay.

So, what's your opinion on this? On the other hand, the current layout makes the distinction between theories proven right/wrong pretty obvious, so I'd like to have other opinions before changing all the pages once again. --Homerun-chan 18:25, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
