The Master of this emotion notes nonchalantly that this doppel is somewhat childish. A doppel quite opposite its master's sharpness in its infantile manners, it only wishes to nap. When this desire is impeded, it flails about in tantrum, and cries and wails in a voice that destroys the eardrums of those who oppose it. When this doppel yawns, all around it, whether friend or foe, are hit by an sudden and irresistible urge to sleep. Those who rest against its soft body are guaranteed to doze blissfully in a nap like no other.

A kung fu master, Meiyui belongs to the Blue Seas Family. She left her parents in China and came to Japan alone. She is well-composed, but she lets that all go when it's time to protect her family and townspeople. She is an excellent Mahjong player.

主の鋭さとは逆に幼子のような精神を持つこのドッペルは、ただ安眠を欲し、それが妨げられるとのたうち回って大暴れする他、赤ん坊のような声で泣きわめき相手の鼓膜を破壊する。
また、このドッペルがあくびをすれば、敵味方を問わず周囲の生物には猛烈な睡魔が襲い掛かり、その柔らかな体にすり寄られた者にはこの上ない安眠が約束される。

Side Story

The Blue Seas Family was originally started in the black market by Chinese immigrants after WWII and is currently made up of the sons and daughters of the original founders, with Meiyui being in the third generation. This Family knows everything that goes on in Kamihama, good or bad, and would sometimes exert their influence by threatening others, much like the mafia. Recently though, the Family has gone back to its original purpose as a mutual aid society by helping run festivals, clean neighborhoods, and other activities. Meiyui's father took her and her family to Hong Kong to help out a relative shortly after she was born. Meiyui ended up returning to Kamihama on her own when she was four years old, where she would spend day after day engaged in simple charity work or playing mahjong with the locals. One day, Meiyui heard of some land-sharks attempting to forcefully buy up land from citizen's within the Blue Seas Family's former territory. Meiyui then offered to speak to the real estate company on behalf of the citizens in order to find a solution. However, the real estate representative didn't back down from Meiyui's refusal to sell the land and wanted to hold Meiyui hostage. After learning she was from the Blue Seas Family, he only laughed and went after her anyways only for Meiyui to beat him thoroughly. He promised that other people would never stop going after the land before Meiyui knocked him out with a karate chop. After Meiyui's fight with the real estate brokers, harassment and violence increased throughout the city. As Meiyui talks to the tea shop owner and drinks tea, a member of the Blue Seas Family arrives to inform her of a fire that broke out behind a diner. Despite the increased patrols throughout the city from the family, the number of attacks on the family only increased. As Meiyui investigates the fire, she's accosted by a thug. She beats him up and demands to know the name of the person he works for, but the thug can only tell her that a bounty for her family was placed on the dark web. He gives her an address before being knocked out cold. As Meiyui sips tea once again, a member of the Blue Seas Family shows up to speak with her. Even though Meiyui had continued to fight back, it wasn't enough and nervousness had spread among the various members of the Family. He spoke of rumors of a traitor to Meiyui, but she knew that their family's ties were too strong for it to be something like that. Later, Meiyui gathered the main members of the Blue Seas Family and they eventually decided to increase the patrols in the Minagi Ward as well as change up the patrol routes. After finalizing their new patrol route, Meiyui and the rest of her patrol left the tea house where they had been resting for a moment. The tea shop owner chuckles to himself as he watches them leave, but Meiyui appears once more and asks why he looks so nervous. The owner insists he was just talking to himself like always before he sets about to clean, but Meiyui points out the phone in his hand. Meiyui accuses the owner of being the traitor, as she firmly believed that no member of the family would ever betray them. Meiyui gathers her fists but the owner calls out for his bodyguard. Kako Natsume nervously appears. Meiyui can't believe this little girl could be a bodyguard, but the owner assures her the girl is tougher than she looks since she was recommended by an agent working for the land sharks. The owner admits he did it for the money and the new shop and orders Kako to crush Meiyui. As they begin to spar, Kako telepathically speaks to Meiyui and informs her she's a magical girl as well. The girls continue to seemingly grapple as Kako says she's done for now as she's gathered all the information she needs. Kako then turns and knocks out the tea shop owner instead. Meiyui asks what Kako is after, but Kako instead asks to fight as magical girls instead. As they're about to fight, Meiyui explains to Kako how three years ago, criminal groups had fought over contraband, resulting in a murder and a police investigation. However, the Blue Seas Family was chosen as a scapegoat by the real culprits and members of the Blue Seas and their Hong Kong connections were arrested, including Meiyui's father. The Family fell into ruin and despair when Kyubey appeared and Meiyui had contracted without hesitation in order to protect the Blue Seas Family. Kako understands, but still insists on fighting Meiyui despite Meiyui's reluctance to do so. The girls fight, but the fight is one-sided as Meiyui lands blow after blow. Kako then calls out to her friend to take her place just as Akira Shinobu suddenly appears. Akira and Meiyui fight, karate versus kung fu. The girls fight for awhile before a voice rings out telling them to stop. Nanaka Tokiwa appears and introduces herself. She explains to Meiyui that it was a witch that was involved with the land sharks. Nanaka and her group had posed as some of the land sharks in order to gather information, which is how they learned of Meiyui and had decided to test her first. Nanaka offers a team up with Meiyui in order to track down and stop the witch. Meiyui agrees, provided she go to inform the town people that the problem is resolved first.  Nanaka and Akira find Meiyui in the park acting aloof, and wonder if something is going on in the Blue Seas Family, but Kako clears up their suspicions by explaining the chain of events that lead them here. Earlier in her bookstore, Kako was given a task by a Blue Seas Family, which was to give Meiyui some 'martial arts' clothing. Delighted, Meiyui takes the outfit and goes to change. Back at the park, Meiyui asks if this outfit really was related to martial arts, and Akira realizes that it was actually 'marital' arts wear, which was meant for romantic outings. Figuring out her mistake, Kako becomes embarrassed, fearing that Meiyui is angry with her. After an awkward silence, Nanaka suggests that they all go on a date together, which prompts Meiyui to try describing her emotions regarding the mistake. Turns out, she wasn't used to this kind of attire, and was merely being shy earlier. Thanks to Nanaka's encouragement, Meiyui overcomes the initial embarrassment, and embraces her new appearance, with Kako giving her compliments. |
