A Magical Girl who looks, talks, and acts like a boy. She was raised and trained alongside the boys at her father's karate dojo. Akira is known as "The Troubleshooter of Sankyoin," because she can't say no to someone in need.

She joins the Kamihama Magia Union during the events of Another Story Part 2 Chapter 1.

Doppel Description

Elsie, Akira's doppel

The Doppel of authenticity. Its form is a pouch. The master of this emotion doesn’t think badly of her Doppel, but she certainly feels reluctant to let others see it. Her Doppel boasts a dual nature: its adorable external appearance gives off a feeling of warmth, from its frills and other accessories to even its color scheme, but its interior gives the polar opposite impression. When the pouch opens, adorable internal organs peek out in place of adorable pocket items, causing the blood of those who see it to run cold. The organs are also physically extremely cold, so anyone punched by them will be instantly frozen in place, both mentally and bodily. Incidentally, the Doppel itself doesn’t think that it’s causing the freezing.

Side Story

Warning, this section contains spoilers.

Akira dreams of an event in her past where she was attacked by a witch's familiar. Akira wakes up and sees Sasara Minagi. Sasara explains she's out for a walk, and asks Akira what she's doing. Akira says that an old man from around the area lost something in the park and asked her to look for it. Sasara says that's expected for the "Troubleshooter", and says Akira's desire to help others is an admirable trait. Akira says she just has a hard time turning down people if they ask her for help. Sasara says that makes Akira like a knight.

Sasara asks if Akira found the item, but Akira says she couldn't find it and dozed off while taking a break. Sasara offers to help and asks what the item was. Akira says it's a cane. Sasara asks how you lose a cane, but Akira says lost canes are "surprisingly common". Sasara asks if the cane was red. When Akira says yes and asks how she knows, Sasara explains she saw some children playing with a red cane. Sasara and Akira head to find the children.

Akira narrates that this is the story of how she became a magical girl, and how it connects to another one. She says that her father runs a karate dojo, and passed on to her these important words: "To know what's right and fail to do it is to have no courage!" Akira explains that she thinks of herself as more like a guy, even using masculine speech patterns, possibly because she grew up training alongside only men. Her father is perfectly fine with this habit, though Akira thinks that's just because her father wanted a son to begin with. However, she says she learned a lot from her father. In a flashback, Akira's father says she should always help those in need, lest she regret not reaching out when it's too late. Because of how her father raised her, Akira says it's in her nature not to ignore someone who needs help.

Akira narrates that the first time she helped someone was when she was six. She helped a woman from the neighborhood find her lost purse. Ever since then, people from around her neighborhood have asked Akira for help, and she could never say no. That's when she picked up the nickname "Troubleshooter". When she started middle school, even her classmates asked her for favors. Akira felt that the unending requests made every day pretty tough. Then one day, Akira received a request from a girl, asking if she can be her bodyguard.

The girl explained that she always felt someone was following her when she walked home from school. The girl begged Akira for help, and Akira asked if she was good enough. The girl claimed that there aren't any boys she felt comfortable asking for help, and her father had work. The girl said that Akira's karate is strong, though Akira claimed she has a long way to go. However, Akira still agreed to help. The girls left the school and walked together through a park. Akira asked if that place was where the girl felt like she was being followed. The girl said it was just up ahead, and then went silent.

Suddenly the girl revealed the actual reason she brought Akira here: She wanted to give her a love confession! A shocked Akira pointed out they're both girls, but the other girl didn't care. The girl admitted that she lied about having a stalker, but Akira said she was relieved the girl wasn't in danger. Akira admitted that she didn't "know a lot about that sort of thing" and politely rejected the girl's confession. The girl said she understood and apologized for lying. After she thanked Akira, the girl left on her own. Akira narrates that it was a sort of a sad way to part. She also says she regrets letting the girl leave alone that day...because shortly after that day the girl vanished.

When Akira learned the girl disappeared a few days later, she immediately blamed herself. She speculates on what happened if she left with the girl, or if she gave her a different answer. Akira spent the next few days searching for the girl. Finally she returned to the park and retraced the girl's steps when she left Akira that other day. Akira wondered what the girl's feelings were. She also wondered if she was really alright with the answer she gave the girl. Suddenly, Akira stepped into a witch's barrier.

Akira is accosted by a familiar and quickly runs away. She soon found a crowd of people standing around with blank looks on their faces. Suddenly Akira saw the girl she was looking for. Akira told the girl they needed to go, but the girl resisted. The girl kept muttering that it was fine and she will just stay here. When Akira asked what's wrong, a voice called out and said the girl was marked by a Witch's Kiss, and is now held prisoner within the barrier. The voice reveals itself as Kyubey, who explains to Akira about witches, familiars and magical girls. Akira narrates that she wouldn't have believed any of it if she wasn't in this situation.

Kyubey explained that if Akira killed the witch and her familiars she could save the people trapped in the barrier. He offered her a contract, but Akira said it was too sudden. Suddenly Akira is attacked by familiars, who knocked her around like a doll they were playing with. Akira felt they were on a level even her Karate couldn't reach. Kyubey again offered a contract to Akira. An injured Akira made the following wish: "All those people...Save them". Akira then turned into a magical girl, destroyed the familiars, and rescued the victims - just as she wished for. The next day, Akira found that none of the victims remembered the incident. Akira wondered if it was because of her wish. She asked Kyubey if they all forgot because she saved them, and Kyubey said it was possible.

Akira asked Kyubey if there were more witches out there, and Kyubey said she only destroyed familiars. Akira then said she had to defeat the witch they came from, and asked if that's what a magical girl does. Kyubey said it was her destiny to defeat witches. Akira narrates that this how she started her life as a magical girl. Knowing that witches existed, she felt the importance of her father's words about doing what's right.

After becoming a magical girl, Akira started to patrol Kamihama. If she heard about a trouble or incident, she would follow it in case it was caused by a witch. One day, she heard about people disappearing and while investigating, ran into a familiar. However, Akira had not transformed into her magical girl form and was caught off guard by the familiar's speed. Akira tried to transform, but dropped her Soul Gem. The familiar's attack then prevented her from retrieving it. Akira then decided to run, hoping to circle back and grab her Soul Gem when there was an opening. However, when she left the barrier she suddenly fell unconscious.

When Akira woke up, she sees a shocked girl asking if she's alright. The girl introduced herself as Nanaka Tokiwa, another magical girl. Akira narrates that Nanaka was chasing the same familiar she was. Akira wondered why she collapsed, and Nanaka said she found Akira unconscious when she arrived. Akira then noticed her Soul Gem was present. Nanaka explained she found it and picked it up a moment ago. Akira thanked Nanaka and prepared to transform, but Nanaka then told her to wait. Nanaka said they should withdraw, since Akira fell unconscious. Akira reluctantly agreed. Akira narrates that Nanaka seemed gentle at a glance, but even back then she was already feeling how intense Nanaka could be beneath the surface.

A few days later, Nanaka asked Kyubey what happened, and told Akira that she collapsed from a lack of magic. However, Akira felt fine. Nanaka then called Akira, asking for a favor. When they met again, Nanaka asked Akira to duel her. Akira protested and asked why Nanaka wanted to fight her. Nanaka said it was because Akira was weak, as she had outright collapsed earlier. Nanaka then said she will prove how little potential Akira had, and that once Akira lost, she will quit hunting witches and live an ordinary school life. Akira said that as she's from a family that runs a Karate dojo, she can't ignore what Nanaka said. Akira then claimed she's not a pushover and will fight witches. Nanaka said that was wonderful, and the two girls began their duel.

After some fighting, Nanaka ended the duel. Akira said they haven't finished, but Nanaka said she understood Akira's true strength. She then apologized for her harsh words earlier, claiming she was only trying to see how strong Akira's resolve was. When Akira asked why, Nanaka pointed out that Akira had collapsed, and so Nanaka had no way of knowing how well Akira was capable of fighting. Nanaka then claimed there was nothing to worry about, and Akira was strong enough to associate with her. She then invited Akira to work together as a team.

Akira said the offer was too sudden, prompting Nanaka to announce that she was very troubled and that she couldn't fight witches by herself. Nanaka then said she heard Akira never abandons someone in need. Akira said that wasn't fair. She narrates that Nanaka eventually won her over. In the present day, Akira returns the lost cane to the old man. Akira thanks Sasara, who says it was nothing. Akira narrates that after she met Nanaka, she met a bunch of other magical girls, and is still meeting more. She wonders how many magical girls are in Kamihama.

Akira then tells Sasara that she has to go to a meeting at Akira's place. Akira said it has something to do with Kamiahama's real estate. Sasara asks if Nanaka's going into the business, but Akira doubts that's what it is. The girls wish each other goodbye and depart. Akira narrates that Nanaka has her sights set on something different from the rest of them, and she always preoccupied with those thoughts. Akira then narrates this is just the story of how she and Nanaka met, and that she'll talk another time about the rest of the story. Akira wonders if she's being used by Nanaka.

Akira is hanging out at Emiri’s consultation stand wearing the Christmas outfit that Emiri picked out for her. Emiri naturally thinks it looks great on her but Akira isn’t as happy. Still, when Emiri asks her if she wants to change out of it Akira says it’s fine. She just wonders why she ever agreed to wear something so cute in the first place. After helping out customers all day, Emiri finally sends off the last one. She’s surprised to see how late it’s gotten and suggests they take a break. Since Akira doesn’t think they’ll get any more customers for today, Emiri instead decides they should just close up shop for the day instead. Akira initially agrees although she points out that it’s still pretty early in the day. When Akira looks outside, there’s already a line forming outside the stand. They decided to keep going but then the line suddenly dissipates. Akira figures she must be more tired than she thought and must have mistaken the line of people for something else. Emiri is worried that Akira is too worn out and suggests she go home, although she had been hoping the two of them could have dinner together. But Akira insists she’s fine and was just mistaken. Emiri looks at Akira and figures she must be right so she suggests they change out of their clothes so they can go to dinner. Akira hesitates for a moment and asks if her Christmas shirt could pass for an undershirt, but Emiri points out that won’t work since the Christmas shirt won’t be seen at all. Akira hesitantly agrees and they go get changed out of their clothes.

Emiri soon comes out wearing her school uniform and waits for Akira to come out. When Akira does, she’s still wearing the Christmas outfit. Akira fidgets and says she got all wrapped up when she tried to undo the ribbon so she left the costume on as is. Emiri nods and tells her to hurry up and go get changed so they can go eat but Akira drags her feet and doesn’t seem to be moving towards the changing room. When Emiri asks her what’s taking her so long, Akira claims it’s because her hands are too cold. After watching Akira drag her feet some more, Emiri suddenly gets hit by a realization: Akira WANTS to wear the costume longer which is why she pretended to see more customers lined up outside the shop. Akira hangs her head and admits she just really wanted to wear the outfit, even for just a minute longer. Today was her only chance to wear it, but she can’t wear it outside. That’s why Akira was dragging her feet so she could keep wearing it longer. Emiri laughs and tells Akira she should have said something sooner and proposes they have dinner there at the consultation stand. That way they can have their own little Christmas party together. Akira thanks Emiri while Emiri goes to get changed back into her own outfit. She thinks it’s a shame that Akira can only wear it for today and tells her she should wear it once more tomorrow, but Akira declines. The next day, Akira puts on the outfit in her room as she prepares to head out. As she looks at herself in the mirror, Akira decides not to wear it out again.

Akira's power is to identify weak points. The most notable use of this power is when she identifies the weak point of Walpurgisnacht.


  • The characters of her last name mean "will" (志) and "shin" (伸), respectively.


  • Her illustrator is "Ochau" (Pixiv)
    • However, in the NA version of the game the illustrator's name is translated as "Otyau".
  • The reason why her Soul Gem is on her fists (her primary weapon), is because her illustrator did not know that Soul Gems were souls.
