[|Is this true?] If so, we might be getting a second season or a sequel manga or something! So excited. --CrownClown 02:58, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- Well, he is thinking about it. But nothing is confirmed until they actually work on it... --Mutopis 03:03, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- Still, it's worth getting a bit excited that they're even considering it, I think. :) --CrownClown 03:10, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- FYI, this caused very little stir on 2ch. They said it was "additional confirmation," alluding to Gen having said similar things in the past as common knowledge among fans there. I know we have two translations where he's alluded to this and who knows where else in sources where we don't have scans/translations.
- http://wiki.puella-magi.net/NewType_2011-05#Madoka_Sequel - Urobuchi - Because the length was only one cour, a lot of elements and details had to be cut off. I am now thinking very hard about how to develop the next "Madoka".
- http://wiki.puella-magi.net/4Gamer_Urobuchi_Interview - 4Gamer: We want to know more about what will happen to “Madoka Magika”. To be blunt, will it be a 2nd season? Urobuchi: It would be great if we could have one.--randomanon 03:29, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- So, basically he's thinking of things in case they do go forward with it? Makes sense. --CrownClown 03:35, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
- Mm, actually from the sounds of it, he's been tied up with projects and also thinking very hard to come up with a good story. More likely they're waiting on Urobuchi to have the time and concept together as a starting point. Shinbo and Iwakami have both stated in interviews that they want to do a season 2 so it should have no problem green-lighting and getting the staff together. Of course Shaft tends to overcommit on number of projects so they'll need to figure out the timing among their other commitments. There is such anticipation for a sequel they know they can't afford to go with a half-assed approach in any aspect. From everything I've seen, Shaft staff love this anime as much as the fans so I don't see them rushing it. --randomanon 03:42, 21 September 2011 (UTC)
