Should we add where the characters' age come from? I think the majority of them come from the Magia Archive book, so we could start with adding it at the beginning of the article. Or should we add it as a reference to every single character? ImperviousCover (talk) 22:06, 15 September 2025 (UTC)

There is a Sources for Character Ages in Magia Record page. I'm not sure why it's a separate page though. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 04:22, 16 September 2025 (UTC)
I don't know either why it's a separate page, but I guess you could just link it in this page without the work of moving what is said there to here. That aside, although the content of that page are good and detailed, the order looks arbitrary (chosen by the editor who made it) instead of something expected like alphabetical by name/surname or by age range (following this page's structure). There is also the fact that, as the name of the article says, it's only sources for the characters in Magia Record, and not for all characters present here. It's ordered by the internal ID numbers assigned to characters. Iroha is 1001, Mitsune is 3054, etc EPF (talk) 18:48, 17 September 2025 (UTC)
I see, thanks for the info. I've added the sources page in the beginning of the article. I thought about adding a "See Also" section just for it but it could be weird to see with the other sections, them being about specific ages. ImperviousCover (talk) 21:49, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
It would be completely fine to resort that page to be alphabetical by either given name or surname – I don't think there's any benefit in ordering it by ID. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 23:05, 24 October 2025 (UTC)
Yes, the game has those characters ordered like that internally due to the IDs chosen, but if you are going to make a page in a wiki that acts as the source for another page, either use a more natural order like an alphabetical order or follow the page the other page uses (age ranges). ImperviousCover (talk) 16:22, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
...CM is agreeing with you, though...? Ąnyway, I'm pro-name, I don't even remember why I chose to order it by ID. EPF (talk) 16:33, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
And I'm agreeing with him, thus why my message starts with "Yes". If nobody complains I can make the change myself. ImperviousCover (talk) 16:57, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
Seems like we're all in agreement, so if you want to, go right ahead! ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 19:11, 25 October 2025 (UTC)
It is done. ImperviousCover (talk) 21:21, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
I see you went for alphabetical by given name. That seems a bit odd to me, but… it's fine. At least it's something where you can look at it and immediately see how it's ordered. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 22:40, 26 October 2025 (UTC)
How is it odd? We agreed on ordering it alphabetically based on their names and this wiki uses the "Given Name Family Name" structure (also known as the "Western order"), so I assumed the most logical thing was to order by their names and not surnames. ImperviousCover (talk) 12:23, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
For me, the normal ordering for names is always by surname, even if they're not presented surname first. I've previously sorted the Minor Character pages according to that convention. That's all, really. It doesn't so much matter – the main thing is that you can scan the table of contents (or even the entire page) and reliably locate a specific name. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 13:05, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
