Can the universe parameter be transformed into a list like char_? I don't get Lua or modules EPF (talk) 15:22, 28 April 2025 (UTC)

It looks like it should be doable. Something like {{#invoke:ArrayParameter|main|name=universe|template=[[Category:stuff whatever]]}} should work, I think. Crescent Memoria

So I've been getting around to update the Exedra story transcripts. Crescent Memoria is coming, and do we want to:

A) Treat it as a part of Magia Record "universe", and not give it its own category (Crescent Memoria is explicitly a Magia Record story, even if it's not "in" Magia Record and has its own characters)

B) Separate it out like PMMM vs scene0? (consistency, plus it'd separate it from "real" MagiReco stories)

I'd separate it, yes it's rooted in Magireco but Exedra separates them and its confirmed we're getting more than one quest out of Crescent Memoria. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 19:20, 18 October 2025 (UTC)

Whatever we do with Crescent Memoria probably also applies to the Case Files series and other new Magia Record stories in Magia Exedra (the only other ones I can think of off the top of my head is the Temp Counsellor event and the current Mitama event). I think the link to Magia Record should definitely be stated (I'd count it as part of the Magia Record "universe"), but it does make sense to separate these from stories that actually appeared in the Magia Record game while it was running. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 20:05, 18 October 2025 (UTC)

There probably won't be many more "direct reprints" from Magia Record outside of the Main Story, no? The Events and MSSs seem to be unique. So just "Magia Record Content in Magia Exedra" + "Main Story in Magia Exedra" should be enough...? I mean, none of the MagiReco x manga collab stuff was summaries/reprints the way Exedra Main Story is, and if I ever got around to transcribing MagiReco, I woulda categorized the "universe" as such. It's certainly true that there are no "direct reprints" among the events and Magical Girl Side Stories now, but I have no way to know whether that'll hold true into the future. But, also, it's not limited to just Magia Record's main story – the main quest story also incorporates some Another Story episodes, and I think I remember seeing at least one episode that was part of an event or something in the original Magia Record. Actually, lemme reiterate something. The template for categorization is supposed to allow more than one "universe" parameter, I just haven't rewritten it to allow that just yet. "Just Magia Record" and "Just Crescent Memoria" categories aren't the only option, I can set my transcript script so Crescent Memoria gets both the MagiReco and Crescent Memoria categories. This question also applies to Holy Quintet stuff, so far I've set it up so "Madoka Magica" can be generated as a universe only if it's the only universe applicable (that is, if there are no categorizable characters that belong to a different universe), so scene0 has been treated as "not PMMM", but I can change that too.
