Witches introduced or redesigned in Magia Exedra
- Considering Gekidan Inu Curry has mentioned that Witches and Barriers that were once simply settings or concepts will be reintroduced to the game, we will get to see numerous Witches and even the minor ones getting revamped + having the Inu Curry style.
- We have seen Suleika finally having a full appearance (Despite still lacking a Grief Seed design), and Latria and her minion getting a full redesign, even adding ORKOS to the once nameless Minions. Minor Witches from Oriko Magica - despite still don't have names - have designs akin to the Gekidan Inu Curry style.
- Even existing Witches have fully revamped artwork too...
Witch of the Netherlands

- The Grief Seed contains elements of tulips and windmills so it might be possible to guess what the Witch looks like.
- The barrier might be tulip garden with windmills like how Netherlands is usually depicted, and the country is famous for these two elements.
- Netherlands people speak Dutch, which is the third most-spoken Germanic language. Considering Witches in the original Madoka Magica anime are all German names, there is no doubt the Witch also uses a German name.
- The Witch might have appearances of the above 2 elements or maybe elements linked to Netherlands Folklore.
Of course, designing the Witch would need to prevent any controversial stuff... - Her Grief Seed made multiple merchandises, something that ONLY important Witches have.
Inversely, Suleika never received a Grief Seed design as of 2025...
Walpurgisnacht (The Stagecraft Witch)
- If "Walpurgisnacht" is present in her Witch Kiss, then by common sense it should be her name. The truth, however, is NOT.

Quitterie
- Ah the Kyubey Witch, but Witches typically do not resemble ANYONE (although Witches drawn by Alina Gray usually contains parts of the original Magical Girl, such as hair). If a girl becomes Quitterie then she might admire Kyubey, agrees with his plans despite everything, or might even worship him like a god. The description says she believes she is still saving the universe so there is no doubt - in my opinion - that she is a mad believer of Kyubey.
- IF she appears in Magia Exedra and the staff decides to change her category, I suspect her being the "Costume Witch" or the "Knitting Witch" might suit better.
Itzli
- The Witch that was once speculated to be Mabayu Aki. However it should be noted that Witches having similar aspects to another doesn't mean they will become THAT Witch. For example, Konomi Haruna uses scissors and has tons of stuff to do with flowers but is NOT the witch Gertrud.
- If Itzli has the ability to summon Witch specters (source: PMMM Slot 2), then the original Magical Girl might have tons of knowledge of Witches, and might have recorded them or learned their attacks.
Latria
- Orkos' duty is "hound", which at first doesn't seem to be linked to needles, but taking a closer look at Latria's description says she was born love that surpasses even its instincts. Considering this, Orkos
Bovine Witch
- The Witch from The Different Story and most likely the Drama CD 3. It looks like a minotaur holding an axe, but the cow is a decoy. Apparently it has more "screentime" than other nameless Witches so she might be very important.
Kaoru Maki's doppel ANTONIO is a minotaur with an axe, so it might be possible the Bovine Witch is the same as Kaoru's Doppel. However, her doppel uses flame magic while the witch doesn't.- Besides the Minotaur, Chinese myths has a creatured named the "Ox-Head" that also looks similar but also not quite.
She will be included in the Magia Record Archive Vol 4. GOSH, I wonder if Inu Curry will also reveal her name...- Her name is Asiphae and was given a FULL description despite only appearing in a cameo! And thus several of my speculations were debunked lmao

Observations
In General
- Kuroe is still yet to appear in Magia Exedra, and it follows the game version of Magia Record. However Anime-exclusive Witches such as Oshiti and Etteilla still appears. Noticeably Oshiti is using her sideways art instead of the usual front view.
Magical Girls & Doppels
- Tsukasa and Tsukuyo, Azalea Sisters and Reira-Seika-Mito have fused Doppels. This could mean Magical Girls with strong bonds are able to fuse their Doppel but with greater side effects.
- According to the Magia Archive, if either Tsukasa or Tsukuyo fell into despair first, they are both forcibly dragged together and became a single Witch. Gosh...
Witches
- Only Gertrud is explicitly stated to care about her minions. Others are just fulfilling the Witch's purpose or even as obstacles or enemies.
- Polina smokes, officially, but perhaps due to censorship issues it is never shown in media.
- Don't smoke BTW, it is extremely bad especially for your lungs.
- Only H.N. Elly, Isabel, Walpurgisnacht, Homulilly and Neo Dorothy are known to have vocals. (In the concept arts, Elly and Isabel's dialogues are said to be spoken by their familiars (Daniyyel & Jennifer and Michaela), although Isabel's voice actress, apparently, IS credited as the Artist Witch, not her familiar.)
- Only one Anja exists in the anime. The description states that it is a minion that got lost when playing hide-and-seek with the Witch, which might explain why only one appears.
- Post-anime Anjas appear as multiple individuals like all other familiars, but since Witches with NO familiars exists (such as Etteilla), could there also be Witches that only prefers having a single familiar, or familiars that are one-of-a-kind?
- No Klarissas are found in Magia Exedra as enemies (as of April 2025). Same goes to Walpurgisnacht's Shadow Magical Girls.
- Speaking of which, only Holgers exists in the main timeline depicted in Madoka Magica while only Klarissas appear in Timeline 3.
The "?"'s used on Walpurgisnacht's health bar are NOT in Runes, and "Daniyyel + Jennifer" is now "Daniyyel & Jennifer" for some reason. Perhaps the text file omitted punctuation marks.- They have updated to include ?s and +s.
- All Daniyyel and Jennifers in Magia Exedra only have wings on their left.
- H.N. Elly is never seen out of her box (monitor) in games. Even in Magia Record and Magia Exedra, she is killed INSIDE her box.
- Bartels - according to their description - can only spin and do nothing. However, games such as Magia Record and Magia Exedra make use of their constant spinning as attacks.
- Bartels are depicted without their head in mangas, possibly due to the official Witch card and the anime barely showing parts above their neck.
- Also, Bartels uniquely still uses a clay model in games, and perhaps due to them having a full turnaround, they aren't even turned into 3D models in Magia Exedra.
- Paola explodes and also kills the Bona she is riding when dying in Magia Record. The CD states that it was defeated by heating up and explodes due to expansion. Despite this, Paola doesn't seem to be weak against fire in games.
- The Magia Record archive's comments says that she is a "if you know then you know" Witch, most likely referring to people who brought the CD and obtained the sheet that explains everything about Paola.
- Most Witches and Familiars seen in the most current Walpurgisnacht Rising trailer uses their Magia Record sprite. Take a look at Gisela and Albertine, and you will see why.
- Large bosses in Magia Exedra (Such as Walpurgisnacht and Embryo Eve) doesn't show their name in runes in their introduction cutscene.
Uwasa
- Uwasas in Magia Exedra don't have their name listed in their health bar.
