Uwasa of the Queen Bear
Uwasa of Queen Bear is an Uwasa that appeared in Chapter 9 of the mobile game Magia Record.
Underlying Rumor
These Uwasa emerge with the destruction of the Hotel Fenthope. This suggests that the Rumor of Hotel Fenthope underlies them. Unlike the others, the Rumor is not explained by the Rumor Spreader and therefore its text is unknown in the game.
In the anime adaptation, there was included an Underlying Rumor for Hotel Fenthope (shown in Yachiyo's Uwasa Files):
Oh, have you heard? Who did you hear it from? The Uwasa of Hotel Fenthope! A haunted hotel where people who have experienced irreversible despair walk around in it. It looks like an old castle surrounded by thick fog. The hotel moves by itself through the forests of Hokuyo Ward as if it's a ghost ship in search of desperate humans. It is said that those who enter this hotel will end up there to find their last hope.
Major Uwasa
Fan Translation: “My, have you heard? Who’d you hear it from? The Rumor of the Queen Bear! The great big tree that towers high in the middle of the castle is actually the beloved mama of all the little bears! If you hurt Mama, all her cubs will lash out, and if you hurt her cubs, her maternal instincts will blow up in your face. Oh me, oh my! It’s the most awesomely awful collective Rumor that the Magius have ever made. It’s a rumor that ALL the Feathers are talking about. Run away, run awaaay!” Official Translation: Have you heard? Has anyone told you? The Rumor of the Queen Bear! That gigantic tree towering above from the center of the castle is actually the dear mother to all those little baby bears! If anyone dares hurt it, all the bears fly into a frenzy. And if harm should come to one of its babies, the assailants will have to face its full blown, mama bear rage! It's probably the most diabolical Rumor the Magius have ever made, and it's all the talk among the Wings of the Magius! Hurry, run awaaay! |
Minor Uwasa
Fan Translation: “My, have you heard? Who’d you hear it from? The Rumor of the Soldier Bears! If you happen to damage some part of the castle, just saying 'sorry’ won’t get you off the hook! The Soldier Bears will get real steaming mad, and attack with their building tools clutched in both paws! Their zeal and power are second to none, but as fruit go, they’re still young, tough and un-ripe, so they tend to miss their swings and kick up huge whirlwinds instead. It’s a rumor that ALL the Feathers are talking about. Up, up and away you go~!” Official Translation: Have you heard? Has anyone told you? The Rumor of the Soldier Bear! If you damage the castle in any way, a simple apology won't cut it! The Soldier Bear will get stomping mad and let you have it with the tools clenched in its fists! Its passion and power can't be beat, but it's still young and inexperienced, so it misses often and ends up whirling around, creating a tornado. It's all the talk among the Wings of the Magius! Fly away! |
Fan Translation: “My, have you heard? Who’d you hear it from? The Rumor of the Worker Bears! From a wide variety of repairs to daintily tending the gardens, they can take care of any odd job you can name! The way their heads have plopped onto the ground is a sign that their knowledge and experience are mature as can be, and it’s proof that they’re senior staff members of the castle! If anything needs doing, they’ll triumphantly pop into view… but they might start squabbling over who gets to do the work. It’s a rumor that ALL the Feathers are talking about. Giiive meee wooork!” Official Translation: Have you heard? Has anyone told you? The Uwasa of the Worker Bears! Whether its general repairs or just touching up the garden, these bears can handle any kind of odd job! You can tell from their heads, plopped right on the ground like that, that their knowledge and experience are the real deal. They're senior members of the castle crew! A bunch of 'em will show up, proud to be there to help whenever things need doing, but they're sure to argue over who gets the job! It's all the talk among the Wings of the Magius! Give me work! |
Trivia
- The design of Queen Bear Uwasa could be a reference to Let's play with Mama, Ping Pong Pang("ママとあそぼう!ピンポンパン"), Japanese children's television series. In the television program, the cast members, including children, had been appeared on the stage from behind a tree prop.
