Description
In a separate time axis
from the one where Madoka became an extra-dimensional entity.
There, five magical girls still fought against the witches.
They still try to defeat every witch and familiar of this world,
as well as Walpurgisnacht.
Yes, in this time axis,
In order to defeat the witches, the five have become one.
Despair and prayer.
Reality and parallel reality.
Trust and betrayal.
A moment and an eternity.
Your will, and the determination of the five magical girls
will become one
in order to fulfill the wishes of all time.
In this time axis' world, will Mami be saved?
Will it end without Madoka's disappearance?
Come forth, with the world-saving wish in your heart,
Embark on a journey, hand in hand with the five magical girls.
Gameplay style
The game is centered around the anime story. Players will be allowed to create their own magical girl, and form a team with the original five magical girls from the cast. Kyubey is not playable, but exists as an instructor who explains when events occurs. The game will feature a 6 player party system, using your original character or the cast characters. Parties can be made of any combination of original characters and cast characters (pending future updates that will implement co-op features).
Players can freely travel around Mitakihara alone or with a party as they finish quests, in a way similar to 'Sugoroku'. There will be quests centered around past and future magical girls. Certain quests may require certain cast characters, or a certain amount of players. Players will be put into separate servers in the game and each instance only contains up to 6 players at a time. When each player finishes all their quests, they may participate in a massive raid against Walpurgis Night that exceeds 6 players (not yet implemented). As the player progresses through the game, their apparel will become stronger and level up as they combine items to create better ones. The game is free-to-play with an item store.
There are 6 parts which can be customized by players. Players can change the weapons, clothes, accessories, and skill cards of their magical girls. Rare clothes and accessories may also improve her abilities. Even the 5 main cast magical girls can change weapons in game. Special finishing move attacks however, can only be used by the player's character and their respective canon characters (e.g. Gun type special attacks can only be used by players and Homuhomu), so if the player wants to use the special attack cards, he will have to equip the canon characters with their original weapons.
Getting Started
Gameplay Mechanics
Quests
- Click the target icon at the top of the screen to begin questing. The grief seed over the city leads to a list of quests.
- You've got 50 max AP. It takes 10 AP to do a quest. AP regenerates 1 per 5 minutes. You also get full AP upon level up. If you have spare AP when you're close to leveling, spend it in battle mode so it won't be wasted.
- The experience points obtained from each maze increases with the stage level, for example for level 1 the exp. is 100, level 2 is 110, and level 3 is 120.
- Always make sure that you have inserted any newly acquired party members before starting a quest. Party members and the level you acquire them is as follows; Lv.2 Homura, Lv.5 Sayaka, Lv.10 Kyoko, Lv.15 Madoka, Lv.20 Mami-san.
Battle Mode/PvP
- To obtain the purple ticket (better chance to get rare cards) in large numbers, the player will have to use "play with others/battle mode" (accessible from the home screen, costs 10AP per play), which is similar to PvP (other player controlled by NPC).
- The number of cards received increases with the number of players defeated and the current rank level, and the rank level point is obtained by defeating at least one player per play. The player will also obtain coins that could be used to upgrade weapons.
- Rank points required to increase the rank level is; Rank C:200, Rank B:500, Rank A:900.
- Players are encouraged to only leave one person in the party when not playing, so as to allow other players to win easily in the "play with others" match. This is called ソロ放置 or 紳士放置 by the elevenese players. No penalty will be given if your character lost.
Equipment and Upgrading
- You can't change the clothes of the canon magical girls. You can equip them with accessories. If you manage to find enough glasses, you could give them to everyone. However, a bikini, for example, can only be used by player-made characters.
- It is advisable to upgrade your weapon with as much material weapon cards as you can to save on coins. Upgraded weapons if used as a material will provide extra weapon upgrade exp points, but with a large penalty.
- For example, upgrading a weapon with many other weapons at the same time is much cheaper than upgrading it with one at a time since you get a discount (maximum 25%) for bulk upgrades and it's more expensive to upgrade higher level weapons than lower level ones.
- Since upgrading higher level items is more expensive, using mid-level items to upgrade high level ones is more efficient than using low level ones. For example, you can combine your level 1 items into level 7 items and upgrade your level 12 weapon with the 7's instead of the 1's to drastically reduce the coin cost.
- But it will come with a penalty, for example; the base card is RR and you upgrade using a single N card, if the N card is lvl 1 the exp you gain is 70, and if the N card lvl is 7 the exp is 430. But to upgrade an N card to level 7 you need to use 840 exp (9 N cards, which will give 810 exp to R cards). So only resort to this if you are low on coins.
- The Japanese wiki's synthesis page (google translated) contains tables with exact values. (Click here for Japanese)
Achievements
- You get purple tickets for clearing a quest within 2 turns for most of the earlier quests. If you can kill the boss in one round in earlier levels, you can farm tickets.
- You get bonuses such as coins, variety tickets, and weapons for clearing stages multiple times. For level 1 you need to clear 3 times, level 2: 5 times, level 3: 7times, level 4: 10 times.
Skills
- Skill cards with 0/0/0 stats allow the player's character or the character on the card to use special attacks if they're using a weapon that matches the character on the card. For example, give Sayaka or your character a sword and a Sayaka skill card and she will activate her skill randomly. A S,SS-level skill card however could only be used by the character on the card.
Future Updates

Troubleshooting
- If you get an Apache 2/CentOS test page, you may need to use a proxy to bypass IP blocks. Certain blocks only apply to the signup and login areas, so some users have been able to log in with proxies and switch to direct connections after world server selection screen.
- High server load can cause issues such as being stuck at a loading screen or getting stuck with a grayed out screen while trying to load a menu.
- If you get the error pictured below while trying to open a Kyubey BOX, your inventory is full. You can have at most 30 of each type of card (weapons, clothes, accessories, skills). Sell some to make room, and then open the history screen from the lobby. Go to the packages tab and collect the card that was withheld due to the inventory being full. After clearing your inventory and packages, Kyubey BOXes should work again.
