Episode 1's end card

Hanokage (ハノカゲ Hanokage) illustrated the manga version of Puella Magi Madoka☆Magica. In Manga TIme Kirara Magica, it was reported she will be releasing a new manga related to the Puella Magi franchise alongside the movies this Autumn.

Madoka Magica Manga

Hanokage adapted Madoka Magica into a manga using Gen Urobuchi's original scripts. She made some interpretations that diverged from the anime when the script was ambiguous, such as having Sayaka kill the hosts on the train, as mentioned in this Urobuchi interview.
