Puella Magi Madoka Magica Online is a multi-player browser-based freemium game based on Puella Magi Madoka Magica settings. The service is set to open in Spring 2012 in Japan.

Description

"Madoka", became an existence in a different dimension. But there exists a different time axis in which there exists five magical girls that fight witches.

The girls seek to defeat all the various familiars and Walpurgis Night. Yes, within this time axis, the five have joined as one to defeat the witches.

Despair and prayers. Reality and parallel universes. Trust and betrayal. An instant and eternity.

Join your feelings with those of the five girls' decisions to satisfy all of their hopes.

In this time axis, can you save Mami? Will you let Madoka vanish?

Now, with the desire to save the world in your heart, start your struggle together with the five magical girls.

Gameplay style

Not much is revealed at this point. According to Strategy Partners' announcement the game will centered around the anime story. The player is allowed to create a new magical girl and team up with 5 anime characters as a party or join up with other players. There will also be quests centered around past and future magical girls. The game will be free-to-play with item store. There will also be an event where all players participate in defeating Walpurgis Night
