In Homura's [[:File:Bg adv 23013.jpg|pendulum room]], Homura and Mabayu go over what went right or wrong in the last loop. They were able to successfully prevent Madoka from contracting until the day of Walpurgisnacht, but Madoka couldn't overlook the town being destroyed and ended up contracting at the last minute. They'll need to defeat Walpurgisnacht with their own hands. Homura shows Mabayu the flowchart she created of the 1 month the time loop lasts for. She points to where the writing is in red, indicating a point at which Kyubey attempts to contact Madoka. It's possible they may only have to focus on those time points and don't necessarily have to be there for all the other times during the loop. So long as the initial conditions don't change then the flow of time should remain the same, but if they change their actions even slightly then the flowchart may change and Kyubey may strike. Even if it's not something related to Madoka directly, any change will be like a butterfly effect and could alter the flowchart drastically. Mabayu understands, but argues that not taking the risk of changing the flowchart could hinder them from ever defeating Walpurgisnacht. Homura has a two-fold plan: the first is to gather as many grief seeds as efficiently as possible. If they have no need to hesitate when using magic in the final battle, then they'll be able to do more and stronger attacks against the witch. Homura has already recorded Walpurgis' location of appearance, time, and strategy. Mabayu is pleased to hear this as it means no need for future vision if the witch follows the same patterns. However, the most important person to overcome Walpurgisnacht is Mabayu. It must be her.

To avoid Madoka from making a contract, they'll need to defeat Walpurgisnacht. With the help of Mabayu's future vision and special training from Homura, the two were able to efficiently defeat all of the witches while accumulating as many grief seeds as possible. However, they still could not overcome Walpurgisnacht. It's at this point when Mabayu began to wonder what it was she was fighting for.

Summary

Day 1

Over and over and over and over and over and over and...

An alarm rings, waking up Mabayu Aki. She doesn't seem happy as she recalls the events of the previous time loop. It hadn't worked out in the end and, if what Kyubey had said was true about the world being destroyed in 10 days, then the Sayaka and Kyosuke of that world would also be gone. She gives a small cry as she reminds herself now isn't the time to dwell on the past. This time for sure they would go on to see the day after Walpurgisnacht.

Day 3

In Homura's pendulum room, Homura and Mabayu go over what went right or wrong in the last loop.
