Joyful - Sapphire Lips (悦ぶ サファイアの唇 Yorokobu Safaia no Kuchibiru) is the first Kimochi encountered. It embodies ecstasy and it was found in Shinsei Ward. Upon its first appearance, it summons Uwasa of the Friendship Ending Staircase and its Familiars as its minions.

During the Arc 2 Prologue, Joyful - Sapphire Lips manifests as the first Kimochi encountered by Team Mikazuki. After they defeat it, it drops a bracelet that bonds to Iroha’s wrist.
In Chapter 1, Iroha struggles to remove the bracelet, revealing its trust-based transfer mechanics. Mitama Yakumo attempts to analyze it but fails due to its emotional resonance with Iroha. She comments that attempting to coordinate it would destroy the Coordinator herself. Later, Promised Blood attacks Iroha specifically to claim the Kimochi stone, but fails.
It remains in Iroha's possession and during Chapter 4, when Ui is captured by Promised Blood, Iroha uses Joyful - Sapphire Lips’ power to resist despair and protect her sister, where it manifests as a face guard.
In Chapter 7, Iroha taps into Joyful - Sapphire Lips’ power to connect emotionally with Yuna, allowing her to enter Yuna’s mindscape. Inside her mind, Iroha witnesses the Kimochi inside her as entities feeding on Yuna’s despair. They reveal their true goal: to return to Ui instead of causing destruction. Iroha convinces the Kimochi to retreat by promising to integrate them into the Automatic Purification System, ensuring they’ll no longer be used as weapons. The Kimochi agree, recognizing Iroha’s sincerity and they withdraw from Yuna’s body, reverting to their bracelet forms. After this battle, the Kimochi are redistributed, but Iroha retains the Sapphire Kimochi stone for herself.
In Chapter 11, all the factions unite to give their Kimochi stones to Iroha to expand the Doppel Barrier and later, during the fight against Winchester in Chapter 12, Iroha keeps Joyful - Sapphire Lips for herself. After gathering them again, Iroha's able to complete her fusion with Ui, Lil' Kyubey and the Kimochi, transforming into Infinite Iroha.
During Puella Historia, Joyful - Sapphire Lips' stone is tied to Ebony, and retrieved after the Tokime Tribe's mission in The Mirage of Alexandria is finished.
