A list of all minor characters from Puella Magi Oriko Magica and it's spin offs Puella Magi Oriko Magica: Extra Story and Puella Magi Oriko Magica: Sadness Prayer.

Futaba

Futaba (双葉 Futaba) is a former member of Lina Hitomi's magical girl team hailing from Kazamino City and Mio's best friend. The group had several encounters with Sasa Yuuki, one in which lead to her getting killed. Out of all the members of the group, Mio hated Sasa the most and sought her out in an attempt to avenge Futaba's death at her hands, but fails when she is killed by Kirika. She was last shown in Mai Akane's flashback together with the others.

She only appears in Volume 2 of Sadness Prayer. Like Mio, it's unknown if her name is her first or last one. Her wish was to wake up Mio from a coma that was due to an accident that had scarred her (Futaba).[1] Her powers, though, are unknown. Her magical outfit appears to be based on a bouquet, perhaps referencing how bouqeuts of flowers are given to people who are recovering from accidents.

Her name means "bud" or "sprout".

Mana Hitomi

Mana Hitomi (人見 マナ Hitomi Mana) is Lina Hitomi's deceased fraternal twin, who died protecting Lina from a car when they were in pre-school. They have a supporting role in Lina's story, but are overall a minor character in Puella Magi Oriko Magica: Sadness Prayer. Lina's wish was to make her mother forget about Mana entirely, but still acting as though she was Mana herself all the time eventually lead to Lina becoming a witch.

In Sadness Prayer, they are stated to be a girl. In Magia Exedra, they are stated to be a boy. Mura Kuroe has also mentioned that Mana being her older sister is a mistake in the typesetting of Sadness Prayer, and that they were instead intended to be her fraternal twin[2].

"人見" is an obscure term meaning a hole in the curtains of a kabuki theater that allows someone backstage to see the audience. It can also mean public observation and a feeling of being watched. It is also part of the term referring to shyness and stranger anxiety. Individually, the kanji mean "person" and "see"/"look", respectively. When read this way, it can be interpreted as "people watching". Mana is spelled in katakana, which has no particular meaning.
