Juri Oba (大庭 樹里,Ooba Juri) was a playable character in the 2017 mobile game Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record. She first appeared in October 2019 in the event Crimson Resolve and is released as a playable character on January 18, 2021. She is the leader of the Ryuugasaki faction - also known as "The Flame of Ryuugasaki (竜ケ崎の炎)" and one of the "three sisters" that lead Promised Blood.

A Magical Girl who is the second Sister of Promised Blood, specializing in combat. Despite her rough nature she holds a deep bond with her comrades. Beware, however, as when her temper explodes she shows little regard for human life. She enjoys videogames, but she isn't very good at them.
Doppel Description
Lakehurst, Juri's doppel
The Doppel of endorsement. Its form is an airship. At the sight of her Doppel trying to immediately release the massive energy that’s built up within her body and mind, the master of this emotion sends it a glorious cheer of her own, and works to vent her frustrations along with said Doppel. This Doppel encourages one to immediately act on every thought that comes into their head, to the point of considering self-control an outright evil, and it likewise never holds back for a single moment. This extends not just to things like eating and sleeping, but even to sudden destructive impulses, and the Doppel thus lays waste to its surroundings while dragging its master along. If one dared to try and stop it by applying external pressure, its discontent would spike beyond its limit, and the resulting explosion would blast away everything in its vicinity.
Costume Stories
On an early morning, Juri rounds up almost all of Promised Blood, and becomes somewhat of a drill sergeant as she forces some nameless goons to shake off their morning sleepiness. Turns out, there is a limited-time lottery ticket sale, with one of the prizes being a rerun of a very rare embroidered jacket that she desperately wants, because it’s a lot like the one her dad used to wear. After reminding a half asleep Ao that she once waited in line with her for a limited edition game, Juri gets asked by Yuna about what she’d do with the possibility of everyone winning, which is exactly what happens moments later. Everyone but Juri got a winning ticket, including a nameless goon. Juri is bewildered for a moment, but decides to take all the winning tickets and trade them in.
The following day, Juri is wearing her new jacket, despite how cold it is outside. Ranka tries to tell her that she doesn’t need to wear it just because she won it, but she just loves her new outfit too much to be bothered.
Juri gets home from work, which is implied to be a mechanic. After making sure that the coast is clear, Juri eagerly opens a gift that she got from a client, two of GonoGonolCHI's ultimate meat buns, which were almost unobtainable due to their popularity. Brimming with pride she is about to cook them and retrieve a drink to go with them, but she begins hesitating. Juri remembers the rest of her family seeing a commercial for the popular meat buns, all of them getting excited at the thought of potentially having one, and sharing disappointment from how sought after they were.
As Juri fights her temptations, Yuna, Hikaru, and Ao suddenly return home. Knowing that she can no longer hide, Juri relents and offers to share the meat buns with her family, while pretending to deny Hikaru her share for the fun of it. Before the four enjoy their half of a bun, Juri concludes that she made the right choice.
Powers and Abilities
Her ability is to endure, which at first can be mistaken as the same as Kokoro's, but the difference is every time she feels overwhelming emotions, instead of letting them out right away, she has to hold them back to her utmost limit and let her feelings out at once, mostly via violence.
It's also implied that she can prolong her Witch transformation in exigent situations.
The characters of her last name mean "large" (大) and "garden" (庭) respectively.
The characters of her first name mean "timber" (樹) and "village" (里) respectively.
Trivia
Due to the wings and tail on her costume, it is fair to say she has some relation to the mythological dragon in European mythology, these beings were said to breathe fire. The gem also has devil/bat wings, these are another common trait of Western dragons. It matches with her leading Ryuugasaki, although Ryuu usually refers to an Eastern dragon (especially when in rivalry against the tiger, note that Ryuugasaki was in a rivalry against Torayamachi), which doesn't breathe fire, nor does have bat wings.
Hence the fact her weapon is flamethrower, it literally 'breathes' fires out of a snout.
The name of her Doppel Lakehurst is a reference to the city where the Hindenburg Disaster happened. It is referenced in its zeppelin-like shape.
Her clothes resemble a qipao, a kind of traditional Chinese clothing. In Chinese culture, there are also many fairytales related with dragons, although they are a far cry from the western dragons Juri is obviously based on.
Grab the stars in the sky, and I will become a shining first-class star that surpasses anyone.
As long as the idiot can't reach it, you grab the flame in front of you, and rely on your fighting spirit and emotions to crush your enemies over and over again, even if you don't want it, it will burn hot someday. You should be able to continue to the sun.
After all those battles, all those blood sheds, and all those friends we lost.
