Shi (シィ) (real name Shiyui (思惟)) is a character in the 2017 mobile game Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record. She was revealed to be released as a playable character on F4Samurai's fanfest stream alongside Yu, and was released on May 10th, 2024, alongside Iroha・Kuroe following Yu.

Summary
A magical girl who continues to bear numerous misfortunes. She was orphaned soon after birth and has had a hard life ever since. Because she inadvertently possesses the ability to know the troubles of others, she is tormented by the pain of experiencing those troubles as her own in her dreams.
Doppel Description
The Doppel of scars. Its form is claws. The master of this emotion led someone to shoulder grave sin, and attempted to wash that sin away with love. But she found only a hollow void within that someone, and went on to empty out her own heart as well. This Doppel is deeply linked with its master’s empty heart, and has merged with her by mutually sharing their pain. Since its master remains conscious, but has no will to take action, the Doppel also takes initiative in her stead. With no limits on its actions, the Doppel continually absorbs both the impurity of its master’s wounds and the impurity shouldered by others, intending to take retribution against every bit of it. The Doppel emits memories of these wounds, and those who receive them will gradually break down mentally, rather than physically.

Powers and Abilities
Shi has an inborn ability to know other people's pain and agony (including physical pain of victims of crime, such as the countless victims who killed by an unnamed Gang leader in Takarazaki city or a girl who saw her mother killed in front of her by one of Gang leader's hired goon aliased as 'John' and fell into a coma in Last Bird's Hope) and experience them as her own in her dreams. This is due to her mother contracting to protect her own daughter from an unknown Witch in the hospital. Her mother's wish was “May this child become somebody who understands the pain and suffering of others.” However, Shi later contracted herself and gained the ability to see other people's hopes and happiness as well, granting her full synchronization with other people's memories.
Etymology
- Her real name, Shiyui(思惟) means cintanā. Cintanā means 'to consider or discriminate an object' or 'to continue thinking about one thing' in Buddhism.
Trivia
- She is designed by Gekidan Inu Curry, just like Yu.
- Shi notably gains an extra set of arms when she transforms, which she uses to carry her pickaxes with.
- Her original release date could be read as March of 2024. However, for one reason or another, this was ultimately inaccurate.
- It's possible, due to Yu's equine appearance and Shi's pale skin, that the two represent the Pale Rider of the apocalypse, with Yu being the steed and Shi being her rider.
- Shi in kanji (死) means death, which is the name of the Pale Rider. After Shi made a wish and became a Magical Girl in climax of the Last Bird's Hope, Shi put down Yu by her own hand, because Yu was warned by Nagisa that her actions could make all Magical Girls in the world be perceived as the enemy of mankind, which will cause serious collateral damage to Magical Girls if she continued her killings.
- A keloid scar is a scar that is covered in collagen, and forms a raised area. They are more common in people of color, and can ache and itch.
- She is the first character to have five Accele Discs.
- Given that her mother could make a contract with Kyubey while pregnant, Shi's mother was likely quite young when she gave birth.
- Yu's kill list comes from Shi's dream diary, which comes from her magic ability to experience other people's pain. She writes about the horrific dreams she has of other people being abused, and then Yu goes out to kill the abusers so that Shi can sleep better.
- She, along with Iroha・Kuroe, were the last characters to be released for Magia Record.
