Just a small question here: is it acceptable to upload manga panels? --BrickBreak 17:09, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

We don't have a clear copyright policy anywhere, or at least I haven't found one anywhere (I actually tried talking about that but it went unanswered). Some scans of the manga are already uploaded (manga versions of Charlotte and Elsa Maria, "Incubator" scene, etc.), though, so by precedent, I'd say yes. --KFYatek 18:10, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
As a rule of thumb, I'd guess, select panels are no big deal, and when in doubt ask yourself whether the entire image is directly supporting the article. "This panel backs up that theory or illustrates this paragraph" sounds reasonable.

Man, this page seems more complete than those about main characters! Maybe you should consider refactoring the main character pages? You seem the right man to do it (笑) --KFYatek 21:21, 6 May 2011 (UTC)

Maybe, but... I'm short on time, at the moment, I have the weekend and little more (fencing tourney next week). I'll give it a try, but I reckon it's easier when you have a couple of paragraphs as base material and you add your own (most of this article was written by hand while I was bored in class today :P), than when you have... well, no one would be offended if I called that a clusterfuck, uh?
Anyway, while the rest may have worked (and props to whoever suggested these guidelines in the KazuMagi talk page, wasn't signed), I failed in the history section. I wasn't able to synthesize things well, got two huge paragraphs off a single chapter. I think that's the only thing left to move this to the main namespace. --BrickBreak 21:41, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Looks cleaner than the other character pages indeed (I haven't read it yet so I can't judge the content though). I think you should move it to the main namespace, that way other people will be more inclined to edit it as well (it's, well, more intimidating when it's in someone's namespace). Might not be perfect yet, but it's also what a wiki is for right? If you don't know how to synthetize the history section, just leave it in the main namespace and watch the wiki magic in action... --Homerun-chan 21:53, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
You know, considering how much cleaner this page is than the other character pages, and how busy BrickBreak is, would it be okay if we started reformatting the pages ourselves? I myself need something to take off the edge of finals, so this would make for a great break between studying for each exam. (Also: BrickBreak, are you fencing foil, saber, or épée? Good luck!) If there's one thing I don't like is to make people wait for me. Don't :) I like how the Madoka redesign is coming up. (oh, and épée. thanks, but it's only my first tournament, I'm not expecting much, other than some fun) --BrickBreak 17:35, 7 May 2011 (UTC)

'Speculah' or 'Speculation' (... or 'Speculations'?)

Continuing the discussion that started in the edit notes:

(me --Homerun-chan-- changing "Speculah" into "Speculation"): Just nitpicking here; "Speculah" is Internet slang and shouldn't be used on a "serious" page ...
(Brickbreak): I could have absolutely sworn the other character pages had "speculah" instead of "speculation". Then again, that's just going from memory, and it's not like I've slept for... the whole week, i think?
(ma again): Well there was "speculah" here and there back in the day, but it got edited for the same reason (unless we missed some pages). Might still be present on some less formal pages (threads history, etc).
Speaking of which, I'm hesitating now: is it "Speculation" or "Speculations"? (I mean, can it be plural? I know "information" is always singular in english, for instance ...) --if we're gonna make it into meme-free English, let's make it into grammatically correct English too! --Homerun-chan 22:01, 6 May 2011 (UTC)
Speculation can be collective, or it can be pluralized, kind of like people vs. peoples. A page header for a speculation section should be "speculation" since they're all grouped as a set pertaining to a common topic, and you might or might not have more than one item. In a sentence you could use either "anons posted some new speculation" or "anons posted three new speculations" but not "anon posted three speculation" and not a "speculations" list with only one item.

Page Design

As the one who suggested this kind of page design, I only have one thing to say: damn good job. That's actually exactly what I was envisioning, and I can't find much fault to the sections. This is pretty much amazing and you deserve some cookies and kudos.
