Is there any real reason why the article is divided in specifically three? https://magireco.fandom.com/wiki/Mirrors_Story_Release states there were 11 release waves, including the episodes available on the whole game's release. EPF (talk) 08:11, 30 December 2024 (UTC)

I think the only reason is that the translation is split into three videos. If there's a better way to split the pages, I wouldn't object. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 16:01, 30 December 2024 (UTC)
None of the translation videos linked on any of the pages are divided as such, though...? The JP server videos are linked layer-by-layer, and EN are:
  • For what the wiki has under 1-12, the videos linked are 1-5, 6-10, and 11-15
  • For 13-24, that's 11-15, 16-20, 21-26
  • For 25-36, only the 21-26 video is linked (since NA didn't release any more), with fan-translations being linked for layers 27-36, also layer-by-layer like JP.
The current fantranslation videos linked under 25-36 are all dead links. A video from Magia Union Translations just keeps all the layers (1-36) in one video, no matter if a given layer was officially or fan-translated. EPF (talk) 16:11, 30 December 2024 (UTC)
Hmm, I might have remembered wrong. I checked the videos I have, and they're divided into groups of 5, just like the ones you mention being linked. Though I only have up to 26 in that format. I could probably just delete them, since I also have a single video covering all the layers. But I think it definitely makes sense to break the Mirrors story into three "arcs". I'm not sure where exactly the layer boundaries are in the video, but there's the "Kaede-Rena arc" (also featuring Iroha, Yachiyo, Momoko, and Ria), and the "Emily arc" (also featuring Iroha, Tsuruno, Hinano, Rika, and Ren), and the "Search for Mitama arc" (featuring Nanaka's team and the Daito Apartments trio). Does the current split reflect that division? If it does, I think it's fine to leave it like this. (The names I gave here for the first 2 arcs are based on the memoria associated with them.) ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 23:51, 30 December 2024 (UTC)
Okay, I checked, and the current division doesn't reflect that at all – the first arc ends at layer 11, and the second at layer 20. So I think we should either shift towards that interpretation, or merge them all into a single article. I do like the idea of splitting it by arc though. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 23:54, 30 December 2024 (UTC)
Speaking of these arcs… is there a memoria pertaining to the third Mirrors arc? I'm not aware of one, but I could have just missed it… ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 02:23, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
I'm not aware of any memoria like this. As for the divide, I'm not sure if it's necessary to divide it in the first place? The MUT video is 2h long, shorter than for instance Crimson Resolve (main video about 2:30, though there are more for other ends) or Ashen Revolution (3:30) which both get just one article. EPF (talk) 10:49, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
Not necessary, sure, but there's definitely a logic to it – I think the first two arcs are each a more or less self-contained story. Though it's true that all three arcs are also loosely linked together, so I could see the logic in giving it a single article too. Still, Crimson Resolve and Ashen Revolution do have a single overarching plot, which the Mirrors story doesn't. I think length isn't really the best argument for whether or not something should have its own article. Should we wait and see if anyone else has an opinion on this? ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 17:03, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
