Touka Satomi reflects on her goal: a world without Witches, no more death, no more fear, freedom from their curse. But chasing that dream, she lost sight of what really mattered.

Touka wakes up during a discussion with Mifuyu about the Magius's plan to liberate Magical Girls. Mifuyu questions their methods and potential damages. Touka insists sacrifices are necessary and coldly dismisses Mifuyu's concerns. She announces she has to leave for a charity event at her father's hospital, where she will give a lecture about space. She is not excited about it, but she respects her father.

On the first day of the charity event, Touka gives a lecture about space to hospital children. The material is too advanced, and the children grow bored and sleepy. A girl asks what is at the end of the universe. Touka appreciates the question and gives a thoughtful answer, but the teacher criticizes her for making it too difficult. The teacher reminds Touka that when she was a patient, she did not want to share her knowledge about space. Touka admits she used to hate sharing because her illness took everything from her, but now that she is better, she does not mind sharing a bit. The teacher asks her to do a better job tomorrow. Touka is frustrated and vents to Mifuyu, complaining about the event and her plans for liberation. She asks Mifuyu for a favor.

On the second day of the charity event, Touka brings homemade apple pie for the children. She made it with approved ingredients so it is safe for them to eat. The children are less enthusiastic than she expected. The teacher explains that someone once made an apple pie just for Touka, and that is what made it special. She suggests Touka think of something she can do just for them to cheer them up. Touka is reluctant to share words of encouragement as someone who recovered, calling it irresponsible. The teacher says she always knew Touka was a sweet girl. A boy asks Touka to help him study, but she loses patience and makes him cry. She storms off to cool her head.

The girl who asked about the end of the universe finds Touka. She says Touka's lecture gave her the chance to look up theories on her own, and researching distracted her from the pain. Touka remembers that thinking about space helped distract her from her own pain when she was hospitalized. The girl says she wants to go stargazing when she gets out. Touka tells her to wait for tomorrow's event.

On the third day of the charity event, Touka presents a handmade planetarium—paper with holes punched in it projected as stars. The children are amazed. She explains that even a haphazard starry sky could exist somewhere in the universe, and there are infinite possibilities in the stars they can see. She lets the children come up with their own names for the stars. A boy asks if people become stars when they die. Touka gives a scientific explanation: the elements that make up our bodies will eventually become part of the planet and then the universe. It might take billions of years, but in a way, they do become stars. The boy is happy his mother will not be alone if he dies. Touka says she hopes the children will share what they learn with her next time.

Touka's father thanks her for doing a great job. He says he is proud to call her his daughter. Touka is happy. The girl from earlier comes to see her. Touka thanks her for the idea that inspired the planetarium. The girl asks how Touka got better. Touka hesitates, thinking she cannot explain that she became a Magical Girl without giving false hope. She considers that the girl could help the Magius if she became a Magical Girl. She changes the subject, asking what the girl is worried about. The girl says she is scared to start a new medication because animals were probably sacrificed to develop it. Touka says she does not feel bad—she feels grateful because sacrifices can save exponentially more people. She calls the girl disappointing for not understanding that. The girl cries, calling Touka heartless. Touka dismisses it and leaves to take a call from Mifuyu about another obstacle. She is frustrated and returns to base, thinking she is surrounded by blockheads.
