On Italian chan's /a/, people were complaining about "Puella Magi" being possibly being translated as "Ragazza Magica" and most often proposed alternative was "Streghetta" or "Maghetta", seems neither happened, instead we got "Maga".</i>

Justa saying, "Majocco" (or "Majokko") is synonym for "Mahou Shoujo" (genre).
As you can see on Kyubey's page, he actually is a Messenger of Magic (魔法の使者, mahō no shisha).
About "Kyube" instead of "Kyubey"... I hope it's just a typo. [[User:Kraff|Kraff]] 22:30, 1 September 2011 (UTC)

4chan:

After the licensing deal announcement from Dynit a while ago, it seems Madoka will begin broadcasting in Italy.

No clue whether dub or subs. (They had enough time for voiceacting, based on the time needed for Precure series.)

Translation of the announcement (in image):

IF YOU THOUGHT YOU'VE SEEN THEM ALL... THEN YOU CLEARLY HAVENTSEEN MADOKA MAGICA YET! The series that rewrote the "Mojocco" genre and that has surprised its public with a plot both convincing and full of surprises, finally avilable in Italy!

Hidden away in the reaches of this world, there exist the so called "Messengers of Magic", entities imbued with the power to grant a wish to a girl of their choosing. Said girl, however, to be able to do so, has to sign a contract and become a mage. The mages's purpose is to fight against Witches, vile creatures born from curses, the cause of murders and suicides. Two students, Madoka Kaname and her friend Sayaka Miki come in contact with an odd being named Kyube; He offers them an opportunity to become young mages but Homura Akemi, their classmate, will try in every way to prevent then from contracting.

I don't know what the "Mojocco" genre is.. On the Precure forum, it's always referred to as "Majocco" though... The Kyuubeyan race is now apparently called "Messengers of Magic". Kyuubey's name becomes Kyube. Witches are stated to be beings born from curses, I dont remember what the canon says but wiki seems different http://wiki.puella-magi.net/Witches#Witch On Italian chan's /a/, people were complaining about "Puella Magi" being possibly being translated as "Ragazza Magica" and most often proposed alternative was "Streghetta" or "Maghetta", seems neither happened, instead we got "Maga".
