- A nuclear reactor? If you're talking about Homura's final attack, that was some sort of stadium or dome lined with explosives, I think. Sure the explosion looked gargantuan, but I'll say it again: stadium lined with explosives. Mushroom clouds and ungodly explosions aren't nuclear exclusive, any large explosion will do it: it's just very rare to see a non-nuclear explosion that strong.
