Okay I have done my ideas for the Madoka Magica frames, I will keep updating the box above when I make more frames. Please give me any criticism, tell me if they're too much, too little or anything else. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 08:00, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- I like these frames. At most they might be a bit lacking in contrast at the edges? That is, perhaps there should be a 1-pixel border line in a different colour. But it's not that bad without it. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 13:53, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- These aren't the final versions anyway, right now they're just flat color pixel art with shading only where it would look weird without it. So yeah I'll add that, but only when drawing the final versions. Also if you (or anyone else) has any suggestions for frames please give them, cause right now I have some ideas in mind but I'm struggling with others. The already drawn frames are all based on Magical Girls' weapons, Madomagi is Madoka's bow, Madomagi-Witch is Homura's bow, Kazumagi is Kazumi's staffs and Kazumagi-Witch is Kanna's connecting strings. I plan on making the Orimagi frame based on Oriko, Orimagi-Witch based on Kirika/Latria, Null based on the orange flowers on its cover and other art, but that's really it. I definitely need suggestions for the Suzune frames cause I barely know anything about Suzumagi T-T. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 14:12, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- For Suzune, you could use either the different flowers the girls represent (Tsubaki-Camelia, Matsuri-Jasmine, Kagari-Cyclamen). Alternatively, you could base it off the futuristic lining on clothes of the characters or on the name charm they use. For the witches, something similar to Kagari (butterfly), her Witch (the coloring and patterns are clearly visible on the Magia Record Card art for Suzune's 5 star), or Tsubaki's witch/doppel. Overall looking at Suzune's 5 star card may give ideas for the characters, like her sword details which somewhat resemble her doppel's wings now that I look closely, or the shape of her soul gem necklace. I definitely made a lot of suggestions but I wanna provide variety. Also just wanted to say that the frames you've made are gorgeous, especially for Kazumi girls. ~ Sweet Beanie (talk) 14:53, 15 May 2026 (UTC)
- For Suzumagi, I’m thinking of the name charms that Suzune uses to store the name tags of deceased Puella Magi. These were inherited from Tsubaki before the story began and were eventually passed down to Matsuri at the end. - Okay I made the base Suzumagi one and based it on the name charms, Idk if its good :(. I feel like maybe its too pastel or maybe it just isnt enough. - Sorry about how rarely I actually draw now T-T. I'm really not good with art motivation, so I fear I might not be as fast as I want to be. Other Monsters
Did you need ideas for frames to use for non-witch monsters, or did you decide to just reuse the witch / franchise frames for them? If you do need ideas, I have some:
- Wraiths: something based on Kriemhild Gretchen
- Nightmares: something based on Homulilly
- Uwasa: something based on the floating kanji that appear in all barriers (I do agree the binary one you made isn't good, as it only really suits the Anonymous AI)
- Kimochi: something based on Embryo Eve and/or the golden Wings of the Magius emblem

- As there's only 2 Nightmares and all pages that show Wraiths only use one cell, I just decided that they should use the Witch frames, but I definitely want unique frames for Uwasa and Kimochi. Also for the Uwasa frame, I used the binary and green because of Nemu's transformation in the game, but the binary doesn't even appear there so it doesn't matter. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 06:13, 22 May 2026 (UTC)
- That sounds like a good justification for the colour scheme! And using Nemu's transformation as a source also makes sense. Has anyone tried to actually translate the text in the title screen and/or rumour barriers? I don't even know whether it's actual words or nonsense text… would totally fit if it said "uwasa" over and over tho.
