Magia Exedra (魔法少女まどか☆マギカ　Magia Exedra（マギアエクセドラ）) is an upcoming Puella Magi Madoka Magica mobile game, first announced on April 21st, 2024 at 12:06 PM (JST) in a Tweet. It is set to release somewhere in 2024.

Pre-release timeline

April 21st, 2024: The game was first announced in a tweet from the new account @madoka_exedra, which was also retweeted to PMMM's main account, @madoka_magica, on April 21st, 2024 at 12:06 PM JST. The tweet contained a link to a countdown page, with more information about the game being set to be released on April 22nd, 2024 at 10:00 AM JST.

April 22nd, 2024

A promotional image was released on April 22nd, 2024 at 8:00 AM JST, noting that:

More information would be released in that day's Yomiuri Shimbun (読売新聞), a Japanese newspaper,
Planning and distribution (企画・配信) were by Aniplex, development (開発) was by Pokelabo (ポケラボ) and f4samurai, and management (運営) was by Pokelabo,
The full title is likely "Magia Exedra".

After the countdown, the game's site was opened, revealing a key visual featuring Walpurgisnacht and the members of the Holy Quintet, along with a 3D animation featuring a green Kyubey.

Pokelabo later that day released a blog post mentioning the game will feature 3D graphics.

May 31st, 2024: It was announced that Magia Record will end its service on July 31st, 2024, and its players will be able to obtain a linkage code to transfer their accounts to Magia Exedra (Source).

June 17th, 2024: A teaser trailer for the game was released in both English and Japanese, and an official English Twitter account became open to the public. Additionally, a YouTube live was announced on Twitter, set to air on July 2nd, 2024 20:00 JST. The live will feature Momo Asakura, Iroha Tamaki's VA, and Emiri Katou, Kyubey's VA.

July 2nd, 2024: During the Magia Exedra Correspondence #1 live broadcast, a promotional PV was released together with character PV featuring Kaname Madoka and character PV featuring Tamaki Iroha. The pre-registration also began on Google Play and Steam.; It has also been revealed that the game will feature a new character named "Name" (ナマエ, Namae) (voiced by Komiyama Akari) who has no memories. The player will collect Light of Memory (記憶の光, Kioku no Hikari) of magical girls through a Window of Memory (記憶の窓, Kioku no Mado) in Lighthouse Theatre (灯台劇場, Todai Gekijo) by playing through the events in the memory of those magical girls. The game will feature a green Kyubey named "A-Q" whom Name met in the Lighthouse Theatre. As the scenario progresses, the player will receive a Portrait, an illustration card not unfamiliar to Magia Record's Memoria, related to the scenario that can be equipped.; Magia Day 2024 was announced, to be held on August 25th, 2024, from 16:45 to 17:30 JST. Outside of the live event, it would be streamed on YouTube. Several VAs, both from the 2011 anime and Magia Record, along with Name's VA, will be present.; The English pre-registration page also revealed that the game is based on original ideas by Gekidan Inu Curry (Doroinu).; The site's English side was revealed.

July 31st, 2024: Magia Record ended its service, allowing the players to obtain the linkage code for Magia Exedra. The linkage code is simply the same as the transfer code that was used for changing devices during Magia Record's activity, and thus does not require the player to have the app installed as long as they had their transfer code saved. In Magia Record's Archive App, the Portrait illustration announced during the July 2nd stream can be seen.

The windows on the A-Q image have Ultimate Madoka's logo and a stylized ribbon on it, possibly implying her involvement.
The trailers theme of "memories" could indicate that the player must traverse multiple stories from different magical girls.
