Summary
Oriko's loyal servant, Kirika is a dangerous Magical Girl who doesn't hesitate when acting for her queen, no matter how immoral the deed. She is known as the "Dark Magical Girl" but her mind is pure like a child's. She even has a sweet tooth like one.
Doppel Description
The Doppel of enticement. Its form is needles. The master of this emotion has vowed absolute loyalty to her savior. It penetrates enemy and master alike with sharp needles, sewing the fate of all things tight. This act represents its extreme devotion, such that it offers up everything, including its life to its benefactor, while symbolizing the perilousness of its dependence upon the other, which it cannot maintain its identity without. The sharper the needles are, the more the stitches there are, and the harder it becomes to extricate oneself from it. However, this merely serves as an expression of the master's desire.
Side Story

---|
It begins with a news reporter announcing the murder of a young student near a factory in Mitakihara. The story jumps to a flashback in which Kirika is fighting a witch for her grief seed as a young girl watches on. Kirika notices her too late and ends up killing the girl as well. She's is surprised to find that the young girl wasn't a magical girl, as she had never meant to kill her. The TV continues the news report, informing us of the memorial service that was held for the girl. A voice tells Kirika to calm down as Kirika begs for forgiveness. The voice promises to forgive her as the voice is revealed to be Oriko Mikuni. Oriko tells her she doesn't care about her past mistakes, only her future accomplishments. Kirika fanatically thanks her and promises to prove herself worthy of her love. As morning light breaks, Oriko awakens to find Kirika bidding her good morning. Oriko hadn't slept well the night before due to nightmares, and possibly premonitions in her sleep. As she goes to make herself a cup of tea she discovers they've run out. She spaces out slightly as Kirika begs to run to the shop and get her some more tea or anything else that Oriko desires. Oriko asks Kirika to go to a famous tea shop in Kamihama, as today is the day that Mami Tomoe and other magical girls from Mitakihara will be there. She wants Kirika to 'play' with them for a bit and find out why they're there, but not to kill them. Kirika arrives in Kamihama city and decides to go shopping first, as she doesn't know how long torturing Mami might take. She stands overwhelmed by the number of teas and decides to buy several for Oriko as a gift from her. She imagines Oriko thanking her profusely as Kirika sings her praises. Later that night, Kirika defeats another familiar. She's a little worn out from the constant fighting, but she's pleased at the number of grief seeds she's managed to collect. Oriko's premonitions use up her magic even when she's not in her magical girl state. She looks around impatiently for Mami, as Oriko's premonition had said she would be there at that time. Kirika soons spots her talking to Kyoko Sakura in the distance. Kirika jumps out at them, startling the two girls. Mami describes her to Kyoko as the magical girl killer. The story flashes back to Kirika killing several magical girls all in the name of her love for Oriko. As Mami stumbles upon one of her victims, Kyubey informs her it was a magical girl and not a witch that's responsible. Despite the number of victims Kirika has disposed of, she still isn't used to the smell of their blood. In the present, Kirika demands to know all they know about Kamihama. However, neither Mami nor Kyoko know anything about the city and had only begun their investigations. They ask Kirika what she knows, but neither does she. The only thing any of them knows is that there is something abnormal about the city. Kirika decides to attack them anyways, using her magic to slow everything else around her and toying with the two magical girls. Kyoko tries to attack Kirika, but misses and hits her shopping bag instead. Kirika becomes enraged that the tea she had bought has been ruined and attacks Mami and Kyoko in her fury. In the distance, Shizuku Hozumi notices the fight and recognizes Mami and Kyoko. She calls out to them and all three of them escape through one of Shizuku's portals. Kirika is initially upset until she remembers that Oriko ordered her not to kill them. She figures the short-haired girl saved her from herself that time. Kirika tries to salvage the mess, but to no avail. She chides herself for not having put it somewhere safer and rushes back to the tea shop. But the tea shop is closed, and all Kirika can do is imagine the look of dismay on Oriko's face. She then heads to a nearby supermarket and buys up all the tea there is. Back home, Kirika tells Oriko about the ruined tea. Oriko isn't concerned about that and asks about her other errand. Before she can begin, Oriko insists they have some of the tea that Kirika had brought for her. As Oriko puts the usual three spoons of jam and three sugar cubes in Kirika's tea, Kirika tells her she wasn't able to gather much information from them since they didn't know anything yet. Oriko spaces out once more and Kirika worries it's because the tea wasn't good enough. Oriko tells her not to worry, but Kirika rushes off to Kamihama the next day anyways. She's sure Oriko was just being polite because she didn't want to hurt her feelings about the tea. Kirika buys more of the Darjeeling tea from the shop and hurries back home before Oriko could wake up. Kirika then prepares the tea for her just as Oriko awakens. Oriko thanks her as Kirika gushes with her love for her. She's pleased to see Oriko smiling as she continues to gush in her adoration for Oriko. |

Trivia
- Kirika's illustrator is that of her manga, Kuroe Mura.
- In its animation, her Doppel's name is incorrectly spelled as "Latriaa".
- Although Kirika in the manga is stated to be a student of Mitakihara Middle School and is depicted in that school's uniform both in the manga and in one of her Magia Record memorias, her supposed school uniform Live2D model does not depict said uniform. It is unclear whether that is intended to indicate that she transferred to a different school in the Magia Record continuity, or if it is simply casual clothing that resembles a school uniform.
