Sumire Yoake (夜明 すみれ, Yoake Sumire) is a future playable character in the 2025 mobile game Puella Magi Madoka Magica Magia Exedra and the main character of Magia Record: Crescent Memoria alongside Fuka Higure.

Etymology

• "Yoake (夜明)" means "sunrise" or "dawn". This ties in with Fuka Higure's last name, which means "dusk", and also with Mikazuki (lit. crescent moon).

Speculation

The theories below have not been proven yet.
Please keep in mind that they are fanmade theories, and not official material.

Since the release of Crescent Memoria Part II, there are a few fan speculations between Sumire and Raspberry, a Witch from Magia Record.

• • Two new floors of Raspberry that were added in Part 2 depicts a purple flower field under a night sky, with statues that strikingly resembles to Sumire herself all over the place.
  • Sumire's staff weapon is made of stone, and is overall screw-shaped, which resembles Raspberry's stakes.
  • Upon closer look, the flowers on Raspberry's barrier are violet flowers (aka Sumire flowers) in Japan, which are also present on Sumire's magical girl outfit.
  • Only Razzies appear in Part II, and along the above theories, it also leads to speculations that Sumire (or Fuka) becomes Raspberry during Part III.

Trivia

• Sumire's Live2D model was added to the game's files as early as April 2025, around the time the Amane sisters' and Alina's models were.
• Both of Sumire's parents work at a hospital in Toyozuru.
