Sorana Magica
Sorana Magica is coming out soon, and its whole premise is that it takes place in the future, specifically year 2225. This puts it between the far future of NullMG but still after Madoka Magica, meaning it falls into the same "Happens in either every loop or outside of them" problem as Null Magical Girl (and its written by the same person). Will it go here? - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 21:34, 27 September 2026 (UTC)
- I'd say we put it in Exedra/Other, or even its own thing unless we have a confirmation that the two are connected (I'm not counting the facts that they're written by the same person and they're in the future as a connection just yet) ~ Sweet Beanie (talk) 07:53, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- Agreed, that's definitely not enough to posit a direct connection. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 13:40, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- Honestly I think this page should just be fused into Historical / Prelude, and same for Sorana Magica as Exedra/Other is about alt universes, while this has currently no reason to be one. We know timelines go on after Homura leaves them, so I don't see a reason for them both to not be considered part of the original universe. We do also know that the timelines get assimilated into the Law of Cycles, but only one actually has a set time of when that happens (the final timeline gets assimilated after Madoka makes her wish), so they could realistically go on almost forever. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 15:08, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- Wasn't it implied that Kriemhild Gretchen would wipe humanity out in like 10 days after she comes into existence? In SoraMagi, humanity survived like 200 years after Madoka would witch out... EPF (talk) 16:58, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- Madoka doesn't witch out every timeline though, she just dies sometimes. I dont remember Scene 0 too much right now but in the original anime there are 2 timelines where she just dies (the first one where she presumably dies from Walpurgis shattering her Soul Gem, and the third one where she asks Homura to shoot it before she can become a Witch). - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 17:29, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- Hm. So SoraMagi can't be happening after *most* timelines, but some are still possible... Based on nothing, it would be fun if it was post-MagiReco and they dealt with consequences of Magical Girls becoming public knowledge, but that's just me. EPF (talk) 17:42, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
- Yeah that would be really cool, cause its not an unheard-of concept (Tart Magica). I've been thinking if SoraMagi will be the transition between homo sapiens to homo magica, I mean its probably too early but the synopsis says "a story that will change humanity's fate". It makes me wonder that if humans lose earth would they have to become Magical Girls just to survive, and thats how Homo magica started existing, evolving was just the only way to survive. Also makes me think did Magical Girls not try to stop climate change? Did no one care until it was too late, or did Kyubey believe that people who did care are way too stable and not worth turning into Magical Girls. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 18:03, 28 September 2026 (UTC)
