Summary
A magical girl who is a fool for cheap sweets, hanging out at the candy store year-round. Her eccentric looks and behavior, and her carefree attitude tend to attract suspicion, but she is adored by the children who know that she is like a good older sister who loves old-fashioned candy and games.
Doppel Description
The Doppel of nostalgia. Its form is an afterimage. While the master of this emotion is captivated by her Doppel and the retro-style scenery and items it displays, she takes care to draw a line between it and herself in order to avoid being engulfed by its charm. This Doppel rejects the passage of time, continuing to remain inside a nostalgic landscape. It thus repeats the same span of time over and over, and is always seeking family-like beings with whom it can share that time. The master understands her Doppel’s intent, and thus never looks back at the Doppel as it perpetually follows behind her. But according to those engulfed by it, time within can be spent in a meltingly relaxing state as one returns to a child’s view of the world.

Jun lost her glasses and is unable to see anything without them, and is found by Mikura Komachi and Temari Kira, who offer to help her. Once her glasses are found, Jun thanks the two girls and Jun asks Temari how she is so good at finding glasses, so Temari explains that Mikura usually loses her glasses easily and that's why she knows how to find them, while Mikura says that she doesn't either. He sees well without his glasses. Jun thanks them and calls them pros, and before they leave she offers cola candy as thanks. Temari says it's a nostalgic flavor and Jun mentions that they're from the Tomorrow store and invites them to come whenever they want. Mikura and Temari return to her path while Jun notes that it is strange that there are students from Kosho Academy so far west of Kamihama, but assumes that it is the same for her since she is from Daito Academy. Jun goes to the store and orders the same old thing from the owner, whom she calls "master." Jun buys Ramune and asks the owner about the exaggerated amount of change she says every time, "300,000 yen", and she explains that it is because her late husband asked for it in her will. Jun apologizes but the owner tells him that it was a joke, so Jun won't ask any more questions, but the old lady says that Jun constantly apologizing is one of her good qualities. At that moment a group of children appears and asks Jun if he went there to play with them, who agrees by offering orange gum, but one of the children says that it is a shock device to play pranks on them, since the child remembers the prank he Jun did it a long time ago. At that moment, Mikura and Temari appear. The two girls tell Jun that Mikura lost a priceless book from Kamihama library, and they believe that it could have fallen out of Mikura's bag at any time because she had it moments ago. The two girls remember taking a train and stopping at a bookstore in the same Sankyo district where they are before realizing that the book was missing. Jun asks if they didn't leave it on the train, but the girls called to ask about it, but found nothing. Jun asks about the book and Mikura comments that it is a book written by Dr. Tasuke Satomi, a folklorist. Jun decides to help and asks the group of children to help them look for the book, offering candy in exchange for his help. Temari is surprised by Jun's ability to attract the children's attention and the old woman says that she is like "the leader" of the group of children in the area while Jun laughs saying that she has no friends at her school. Mikura apologizes for involving Jun, but she tells him that it's no problem and she'll do it as thanks for finding her glasses. Jun, Mikura and Temari decide to go look for the book at the bookstore they checked: the Natsume Books bookstore. The old lady knows the owner and says that when he used to be little he used to go to his store, so Jun mentions that the Tomorrow store really has been around for a long time. On the way to the bookstore, Jun asks Mikura and Temari why they went all the way west to that bookstore if they are students at Kosho Academy, to which Temari explains that she went to look for a Steinbeck book, while Mikura asks Jun the same thing, why? that she is in Sankyo if she is from Daito Academy. Jun says it's a bit complicated to explain: her parents tend to move around a lot for their work and she used to live in the Sankyo district when she was little, but then they had to move to the Daito apartment complex because of her parents' work, then she had to move to an apartment in the Chuo district but he did not change schools and stayed at Daito Academy. Jun says that since then she has come and go from Chuo to Daito, and from Daito to Sankyo, because she still loves buying sweets from the same store from her childhood. At that moment the girls arrive at the library and meet a debt collector who wants to build an apartment complex in the area according to some women, Jun is surprised to hear that there too. The girls are greeted by the owner of Natsume books, who recognizes Mikura and Temari, asking if there is something wrong with his book. The girls explain the situation of Mikura's lost book, who recognizes the name Tasuke Satomi and Mikura explains that it is a book she borrowed from the bookstore. Everyone searches but they are not able to find the book, the owner of Natsume books mentions that they had recently received a new book by Tasuke Satomi, who was on everyone's mouth, but the publisher sent them back without any explanations. Temari says that Mikura's book from Tasuke Satomi is one of his old books. In that moment Kako Natsume, the owner's daughter, appears. Jun recognizes Kako and asks her if she used to go to the Tomorrow candy store, to which she responds that when she was in elementary school but she stopped going to see her friends, so Jun remembers that she used to see Kako there a long time ago. . Kako finds out what happened to Mikura's book and she proposes that they retrace her steps as recommended by Mr. Daihachiro Furuyahsiki, whom Temari recognizes as the author of the Momonga series. The two girls remember their trip on the train and how they crashed from the impact of the train, losing their backpacks for a moment, but later picking them up. At that moment Mikura realizes that Temari has her backpack, and she has Temari's, the book had never been lost, the two changed backpacks after they dropped them on the train, which surprises Jun and Kako. . The two girls apologize for the misunderstanding but Jun believes that if they had not gone to Natsume Books they would not have noticed, since they managed to find the book thanks to Kako. Just then, the girls find a map of Sankyo in Mikura's book with an X marking the Tomorrow store, and Jun wonders what the store has to do with it... The next day Jun goes to the store again, wondering what they found. Jun finds the owner talking about "the limit being 20 million yen". Jun asks the owner about the woman he was talking to but she doesn't tell him anything and asks him to take care of the store for a while in exchange for 3 Ramunes, but Jun prefers a Ramune and a lottery ticket in exchange. Later Jun meets one of the children from the previous day and thanks him for his help, asking about the others. The boy says that they are all in intensive schools, and since the owner is not there, Jun offers to play in the coin machines with him while the owner returns, the game resulting in the victory of the boy, who keeps all the coins in the game. game. The boy wants to continue betting more coins, but Jun tells him that there are not many left in the machine and it is not worth it. Since the boy earned so many coins, he wonders if he can leave some in the store to keep for "safekeeping." Jun proposes to hide the coins under the machine, but when moving the machine Jun finds an old board fortified with cement, so he thinks to hide the coins in that place, but he discovers that there are golden coins there, so he decides not to move anything. , and suggests the child wait for the owner to ask her where to keep the memories. Jun thinks that the coins may be related to a robbery, but at that moment the owner appears, who thanks Jun for taking care of the place and tells him about the boy's victory in the coin machine, even offering his rewards for taking care of the store. to the boy and leaves saying that he remembers that he has something to do... Jun remembers what he learned from Tasuke Satomi's book and the mark he found on a map of the Sankyo district pointing to Tomorrow. Jun investigates Dr. Tasuke Satomi's book and realizes that all the rumors about his book turned out to be false, but it seems that his book cannot be published, but one of his books has the title chapter: An Investigation into the Diviners from Kirimine Village. Jun thinks that it may be some kind of "oracles" and reads more chapters that would come in the book such as: "eccentric upbringing", "manners and customs of Kirimine Village" and "The Great Kyūbē-sama", but as Jun doesn't understand anything and decides to go ask Kako's father about this. Jun returns to the bookstore, finding Mikura and Temari there again to return a borrowed book and thank Kako's father for everything. Jun asks them and Kako's father about Tasuke Satomi and his book, so he gets a lot of information: he is a young professor who is already considered an expert in his field by doing great research in the fields of Japanese folklores and other cultures with their great research. Mikura mentions that Tasuke Satomi seems to have great knowledge in the fields of folklore he studies and that is why he is well recognized. Jun admits to being curious because of the map they found in his book, so Temari shows him that she took a photo of the same map, and found something curious before they returned the map, as it seems that this was also part of the bookstore. Jun wonders if Tasuke put that map in his book and Kako's father mentions that the map looked handmade and wonders why an author would put a handmade map in a copy of a book of his, and Mikura doesn't think it has to do anything with Dr. Tasuke Satomi. Temari asks Jun if he found a treasure like a pot of golden coins or something similar in the Tomorrow store to ask things like that, to which Jun nervously lies and denies it while thinking that the gold coins didn't really look old, and wonders if the map could indicate some type of robbery crime. Temari wonders if the culprit of the crime left a map they made in the copy of Tasuke's book that they donated to the library and if they were the ones who were buying Tasuke's books in search of the copy, but Kako's father thinks it sounds too much to the works of Furuyahsiki, to which Temari agrees, saying that her suspicions are that someone only made that map for fun and it must not mean anything, while Mikura emphasizes that her theory would not make sense because the map was in a copy of an old book, and not on the copies of the new book that was removed, jokingly saying that perhaps the criminals got the books mixed up. Jun agrees with them and thanks them, while Temari exchanges numbers with Jun to send him the map... Leaving the store, Jun runs into the same guy who is suspected of being a debt collector, saying that now he usually shows up at the Tomorrow store too. Jun thinks about the pot with the gold coins hidden in Tomorrow's cellar, and he keeps thinking that it could be the result of a crime. Jun hopes that Tomorrow's owner is not in trouble. In Tomorrow, the owner talks to the other woman, who talks about selling the store for the construction of the new apartments that are planned, but the owner wants to sell the store to the old woman, however, she only has 20 million yen and He knows that it is not enough, and he also does not believe that the bank would lend him money because of his age. The two women discuss the purchase of buildings in the area by collectors to achieve the construction of certain apartments. Unaware of their presence, Jun eavesdrops on everything. When Jun sees the two women, he says goodbye, and when Jun asks the owner about the other woman, she tells him that she is the real estate agent of the premises and the true owner of the building, since the old woman only rents the premises. The old woman says that she supposes that she will have to close the candy store, because the owner is in financial problems and needs money, so she needs to sell the building. The woman would really like to sell the building to the old woman, but she It is not enough to be able to pay the amount that the woman is looking for. The woman thinks it is a shame because she was there for many years with her husband, but she believes that she should retire now, and possibly the building should be sold to one of the collectors who are looking to build the apartments there. Jun wonders if the building owner's situation has to do with the pot of coins and thinks it's all really suspicious, and wonders if the mark is because people want to buy the building. Jun doesn't want to tell the old woman because he fears putting her in danger and she withdraws from her while she thanks him for telling him about her. Jun really believes that the man he has seen could really be a bad person...Jun thinks about the nostalgia that the Tomorrow store brings him and how he met up with his childhood friends there, and how they all stopped going when they entered high school. Jun really hurts to lose a place from his childhood, but he can't really think about going somewhere else after all. At that moment Kyubey appears in front of her and offers her a contract. Jun thinks he's hallucinating from eating so many sweets, but Kyubey tells him it's not an illusion. Kyubey shows up and offers Jun a wish in exchange for becoming a witch who fights witches, while Jun remembers reading about Kyubey in one of the chapters of Tasuke's book, so Jun asks Kyubey for her wish, telling that in the Sankyo district there is a candy store that will not last long, anad ask him if is it possible to ensure that the store does not go away, to which Kyubey says yes. So Jun makes her wish to protect Tomorrow's candy store. Due to Jun's wish, the owner of Tomorrow manages to buy the building, thanks to the help of her lawyer. Jun finds out that because of her wish the old woman found the pot of gold, which turned out to be an inheritance from her husband that she didn't know about. The old woman explains that they were gold coins that her husband collected in his youth and were now worth a fortune, so, although she still has to convert the money and its value, it was enough for her to buy the place from the owner. Jun asks how she knows it is from her husband and not from some robbery that she hid everything there, to which the old woman reveals that her husband had left it in her will but she couldn't find the coins. The old woman reveals that her husband had left a map, but since she never found it she had given up. Jun shows the map to the old woman and she says that it is the same one, Jun reveals that she found it in Dr. Tasuke Satomi's book at the bookstore so the old woman assumes that she must have donated the book without checking it, revealing that her husband was a professor who loved and was fascinated by books like those of the young Professor Satomi. Jun then realizes that the rule her husband left for the owner to say "300,000 yen" seemed to be a clue to her legacy and wasn't a joke at all. The owner explains how she contacted the owner and the police to handle the matter, and after analyzing the entire case, she came to the conclusion that it was her husband's inheritance, although she still has many legal processes to carry out with her lawyer which They are long and tiring, but the owner is willing to wait for her payments for the property, and the old woman believes that everything has really been like a miracle, even mentioning how she found a letter from her husband asking her to continue delivering smiles with her store. Jun says he is very happy for the lady. Jun explains to the owner that her husband's map is still in the Kamihama University library and she can go pick it up whenever she wants. In the afternoon Jun meets with Kyubey and tells him that her wish came true and the lady will find her deceased husband's pot of gold. Jun wants to say something to Kyubey, but she senses the presence of a witch, but she Jun is willing to do her duty in exchange for her wish. When Jun defeats the witch and Kyubey congratulates her, he asks her about the doubt she had about her. Jun asks if her wish really altered fate or not, since it would have been just as likely that the owner would find her husband's coins as she would not find them, or on the other hand, if she had directly told the truth to the old woman, I wouldn't have had to make a contract. Kyubey tells Jun that the wish also caused the lady to find the documents that proved that the pot of coins belonged to her husband, and even if Jun had told her about the pot, she would not have been able to prove anything without them, Jun's wish really protected the Tomorrow store. Jun agrees with her and says that without her help he wouldn't have been able to achieve that miracle, no matter how close she was to making it happen on her own. Kyubey tells Jun that her wish also kept other problems away, such as the lenders, so it could be said that Jun changed the percentage of help from approximately 80% to 100%. Kyubey asks Jun if she regrets her wish, but she denies it because she wanted to be sure and have the certainty that this was not dirty money that could harm the old woman, but the most important thing for her is that the store will not close. Jun is satisfied with Kyubey's answer, because everything turned out well in the end. |
