Trivia
- Choka and Selema make a cameo appearance in the Magia Exedra event quest Magia Et Cetera Lighthouse Stamp Rally.
Etymology
- "紫丁香" is the name of lilac, a flower in the Syringa genus, in both Japanese and Chinese, though the exact species differs between the two languages.
- The Chinese pronunciation is "zǐdīngxiāng", corresponding to Zi Ding Xiang, her name in the English version of the movie. The species it refers to in Chinese is Syringa oblata.
- The Japanese version of the flower's name is "紫丁香花", with flower (花) added at the end. The name of the flower is romanized as "murasaki hashidoi". The species it refers to in Japanese is Syringa vulgaris.
- The Japanese pronunciation of her name does not correspond to either the Japanese name of the flower, nor a transcription of the modern Chinese pronunciation. Instead, her name uses other readings of the kanji: shi (紫) is on'yomi (reading borrowed from historical Chinese), chō (丁) is kun'yomi (reading from native Japanese vocabulary, not originating from loanwords), and ka (香) is on'yomi.
Speculation
The theories below have not been proven yet.

Please keep in mind that they are fanmade theories, and not official material.
- It's possible that she and Selema Terez are both girls that were taken in by the Law of Cycles, but because of Homura's actions in Rebellion have been brought back into living, as this is seen with both Sayaka Miki and Nagisa Momoe.
- Due to her association with Bona Familiars seen in the trailers, it is speculated that she is the identity of Paola. In the Magia Record event, Beachside Bonds we see a glimpse of Paola's identity, which spoke Chinese and mentioned her father. Her fingernail mark is also the shape of Paola's head.
- In Magia Exedra, Paola's witch barrier had added a Taoist Tower in the background, similar to the one that Choka appears along side the Bona familiars in one of the trailers.
