Witch Order

I sorted the Witches by how they appeared in the first 3D trailer, which is why the ordering is somewhat nonsensical. I'll probably re-work it once the game comes out to show the order the Witches are encountered. Amaterasu (talk) 19:13, 4 January 2025 (UTC)

• Can we retire the use of Witch Cards entirely? I honestly see no reason to use them at all, and in character pages especially they make an already small image even smaller. Sweet Beanie (talk) 20:53, 16 May 2025 (UTC)

I think this conversation already happened on Talk:Walpurgisnacht but was forgotten, I think it'd be easy to change them into regular infoboxes that have the sprite, but I see why someone could not want that (the cards have the specialized runes, the witch's kiss and the labyrinth as the background). My idea is somehow making a box (table cell?) where the background would be a png of the labyrinth, the witch's sprite on top of it and a witch's kiss in the corner, but I don't even know if it's possible to cut images into shape without creating new ones or disfiguring them (I'm pretty sure overlaying them on top of eachother is possible tho). - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 21:09, 16 May 2025 (UTC)

I've tried my best and finished with this:

Now while I think it's almost perfect it could probably be improved as I was learning about styles while creating this, but the worst thing is how many parameters just one display like this would need, obviously 3 for each image but also 2 for the background and witch sprite x offset positions, making that 5. ALSO there are sprites that would look horrible if stretched to the max height, like Charlotte's, so for that to work it would need 2 more parameters for the new sprite size and y offset position. That feels like too much of a hastle.

Using overflow as a style would help with fixing the issue of stretching, I tried to make a template out of it, but it seems to be more trouble than it's worth and it'll likely be better to make each witch entry thing individually. Sweet Beanie (talk) 07:55, 17 May 2025 (UTC)

Witch Card

Zenobia Runes ZENOBIA Type Sandbox Witch Nature Immersion Appearances Magia Record Game, Magia Record Episode 1, Magia Exedra English description The Witch of Sandboxes. Her nature is Immersion. This Witch has strong preferences and never compromises. She is trying to build an acceptable sandcastle, but she can never satisfy herself. She has destroyed and rebuilt her castles so many times she doesn't even remember what she wanted to create in the first place. When she does manage to make a nice castle, she feels much better for a while, but ends up destroying it again. She looks like a young lady, but acts like a little child. If she is interrupted when she is playing with her sand, she cries and goes on a rampage. Japanese description こだわりが非常に強く妥協することを知らない魔女。満足できる砂の城を作ろうとしているが、納得できずに何度も切り崩している。今となっては、魔女自身もどういったものを作りたかったのか分からなくなってしまったただ、それでもそれなりに立派なお城が出来ると結局崩してしまうとはいえ一時的に機嫌はよくなるらしい年頃の女性を思わせる容姿に反し性格は幼稚そのもの。砂遊びを邪魔されると泣きわめいて大暴れする。

I think it looks really good! I think putting the image under the name box to make it fit better with the other info. The problem I was thinking about tho are extra descriptions, do we do them like before, when we just have separate witch cards for each description/form, or do we change it? I had an idea of using tabs below or above the name that would let you change the witch's form or appearance, like for Charlotte those tabs would be [First form] [Second Form] [Bebe] (or In Rebellion) and [In Magia Exedra], the problem is I don't think we can stack tabs so the actual descriptions would be broken... Also on Magia Exedra Characters specifically i think we should use the battle icons like and but I can't datamine them on my own and couldn't find all of them on different sources so I'm not adding them now, plus some look ugly like Roberta's - . - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 21:15, 16 May 2025 (UTC)

I also don't see any reason to keep using the witch cards. We could keep the original (official) witch cards in the gallery on the relevant pages, but I don't think they're worth using as the featured image for every witch. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 22:42, 16 May 2025 (UTC)

Characters, moving forward

Given the gacha results that I have seen, characters cannot be ascended to another rarity. Instead, the characters have a unit for each rarity that varies with role. What should we do about this? Having an individual page for each rendition of a character seems extremely inefficient. Here are the ideas I have:

• One page for each unit - as I said before, this seems inefficient. It also seems cluttered and will create hundreds of pages that can easily be combined.
• One page per character, subtabs divide by unit - other wikis do this, so it should be possible to do this. I can do some research into the other wikis to see how they do it. The only problem I can see is that the amount of tabs could become excessive once the game gets going.

Each one has its flaws, but the second seems like the best option. Amaterasu (talk) 12:48, 15 March 2025 (UTC)

Similar, but I want it to cover the whole page if that makes sense. What I want specifically is something like this page here, where the top is divided between Overview, Story, Gallery, and Sprites in a very clean way. I don't think there's anything about my tabs that make them incapable of covering the whole page, but… I do remember setting them to be a fixed height. That would obviously need to go if they cover the whole page. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 02:22, 16 March 2025 (UTC)

Character images

I'm going to look for datamining resources to find suitable images to use. I'm thinking about using the character records from the Chamber of Light, but those would be long. I'll try and think of usable images. Amaterasu (talk) 13:07, 31 March 2025 (UTC)

If you find anything on how to access Android /data/data/ folders using WSA, send it my way. All I managed to unearth is stuff from the apk, which isn't that much. Not even the skill icons are included. EPF (talk) 15:18, 31 March 2025 (UTC)

These are the things I can think of. The circle image would be used in the Magia Exedra Characters Page, and the second image would be used in the character page. Please tell me what you think. Oh btw, I have found a way to access Exedra's stuff. UnityPy's discord has a tool specifically for obtaining Exedra files in AssetStudio'able format. I think I should be able to access those tall images, though I'd have to look for them specifically EPF (talk) 19:36, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

Unplayable characters

Should the sadness prayer characters have their own in Magia Exedra pages? Kagari, Saki and Niko dont have in Magia Record pages even though they appear the same way as them - unplayable story characters. - TheresaFrog421 (talk) 13:58, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

If that's the case then yeah, but I still think we should restrain from doing it in the future, just in case of the character not getting a kioku and the page being redundant (I don't think there's a need for deleting the already existing ones for the other manga girls, I'ts pretty obvious they're getting kiokus). --TheresaFrog421 (talk) 15:33, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
