Uwasa Rumors

Uwasa of Ui's Soul Transferal

The first Uwasa Nemu created. After Ui, Touka and Nemu made their wishes, Ui's collection ability left her on the verge of becoming a Witch at any moment. Nemu manifested a story to take Ui's soul out of her body, as a Witch cannot be created without their human personality and emotions. Touka pointed out that without a vessel to put it in, Ui's soul will dissipate, so Nemu decides to use Lil' Kyubey as the vessel, since Kyubeys naturally have no emotion or personality of their own. While the transferal caused all traces and memories of Ui to be erased, this Uwasa itself wasn't the one to cause this. The Uwasa didn't seem to have a physical form, but rather the process itself was the Uwasa.

Uwasa of the Fur God

An Uwasa which is fused with Alina Gray, turning her into Holy Alina, which gives her the power to warm frozen hearts in exchange for shortening their lifespan.

Alina used it to control Eve, who herself lacked free will and a soul. Since Eve had no life to offer in exchange, the Fur God took the only thing it could: Eve’s autonomy. Alina herself equates stealing freedom with stealing life, describing them as equally valid currencies in her pursuit of expression. Alina herself used the Uwasa's power against itself to steal the freedom of the Fur God, making the Rumor permanent in a way Nemu couldn't undo by tearing off its page.

After Nemu summoned all of her Uwasa Familiars to defeat Holy Alina, Alina went missing and lost her memories due to Mikoto's influence. However, after Mikoto's death, Alina regained access to the Fur God, despite the fact that the two had been split from each other for many months at the time.

Uwasa of the Wind Evangelist

An Uwasa that fuses with Kagome Satori during the events of Last Magia (as revealed early in Arc 2). Often referred to as "Rii-chan."

Her rumor is dedicated to revealing the existence of magical girls to the world. The Rumor makes Kagome seem more likable and approachable to others, letting her gain their trust more easily and making them less prone to violence towards her. It allowed Kagome to listen in on other Magical Girls' telepathic conversations, as well as allowing her to use telepathy prior to becoming a Magical Girl herself. Its most important power however, is that by obtaining a drop of a Magical Girl's magic, the pages on Kagome's book fill themselves with that girl's inner thoughts and desires. This also increased her own karmic potential for when she became a Magical Girl.

Rumor Queens

The forms Touka and Nemu took after exploding the bracelets which were inhibiting them from using magic. They were able to avoid the Will of the Universe and become Uwasa in order to help maintain and become part of the Doppel System by using Infinite Iroha and her Kimochi stones as energy sources. After this transformation, which was only fulfilled once Iroha had collected all the stones for herself, and Ui had regained the Automatic Purification System they converted the comatose girls of Kamihama into Uwasa to protect them from the Universe's Will.

In the Doppel System's conceptual space, Nemu aids in recording the magical girls of the past, as well as keeping Iroha's existence from being scattered by creating the Soul Vessel to gather her concept across time, while Touka aids with the conversion of energy as well as calculations within the Doppel Barrier.

Converted Magical Girls of Kamihama

Fan Translation:
Nemu: “We are the queens of Rumors, makers of Uwasa."
Nemu: "Through the stories of Magical Girls inscribed in this book, we will liberate everyone from their nightmare prison."
Touka: "Here we go, then!"
Nemu: "We will save these Magical Girls dreaming of despair, and continue paving the road to the future!"
Touka: "We'll never lose to the Mirror Witch or the Will of the Universe!"
Nemu: "Yes, because we are—!"
Touka: "We're the ones the universe relies on! So that fundamentally makes us even greater than the universe!"

Soul Dome

This device, also called the Soul Vessel, was created by Touka and Nemu. Its purpose is to keep Infinite Iroha's Soul Gem in the present, while her body goes through Mirrors in the past. During Puella Historia, the Witch 10-43, as well as Touka and Nemu's attempts to release Iroha and Ui from the Doppel System, caused her concept to scatter and the Doppel Effect to malfunction. The Soul Domes were used by the various groups traveling to the past to retrieve Iroha's concept to revive her, as well as letting them know they were on the right track of protecting history.

Historia Guide

When Infinite Iroha's body traveled through time and space, her Soul Gem was kept safe through the Soul Dome. However, when her concept scattered in six different eras of time, Nemu implored the Magical Girls of Kamihama to travel through the Mirrors into the six eras to gather her concept again.

To complete these missions, Nemu gave each group a copy of a book Uwasa she'd created. The books had a copy of Nemu's persona to guide the beholders, while also permitting them to surpass the language barrier, charm anyone they encountered as to make them not question their clothing or appearance, as well as making them more approachable and less prone to attracting conflict.

Infinite Iroha, Ui, Touka, Nemu and Lil' Kyubey also make records of the Magical Girls of the past, which were available in the guide.
