2023

September 24th: Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Scene 0 is set to begin on October 3rd as a story within Magia Record.

September 13th: Magia Record has announced a collaboration with Lycoris Recoil, which would feature Chisato Nishikigi and Takina Inoue as Magical Girls.

September 10th: The first PV for Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgisnacht Rising has been released.; Puella Magi Madoka Magica: Walpurgisnacht Rising to be released in theater in Winter 2024.

August 19th: The sixth anniversary unit for Magia Record was revealed and released. The special unit is Devil Homura.

2015

December 8th: SHAFT CEO Mitsutoshi Kubota clarified that the concept movie leads to a new Madoka Magica project.
November 27th: A short four-minute concept film for a new story premiered at Studio SHAFT's 40th anniversary event, Madogatari展.

2014

April 2nd: The Rebellion Story is released on Blu-Ray and DVD on April 2nd.

2013

The Rebellion Story begins screening in Japan on October 26, 2013.

The Rebellion Story debuts #1 in Japan; highest grossing late-night anime movie of all time; and Warner Brothers' most successful movie in Japan for 2013.

June 7th: New Madoka Magica Manga to Release Simultaneously with Movie. Announced in Manga Time Kirara Magica: new comicalization by Hanokage is set to start alongside with the movie with more information to follow in Vol.2. Extra episode of Oriko Magica title Mahou Shoujo Oriko Magica: Noisy Citrine is set to be published in Kirara Magica Vol.2.

June 6th: Release Date for First Two Madoka Magica Movies Announced. The Beginning Story set for October 6, 2012 and The Eternal Story set for October 13, 2012.

May 23th: More Information About Madoka Magica Online Posted. New information includes gameplay style: a board game where player moves by rolling dice, avatar customization of over 400,000 possible combinations, Urobuchi Gen's supervised quests as well as close beta notice, which will start recruiting on June 1st, 2012.

April 23th: Manga Time Kirara Magica a bimonthly Madoka magazine announced. First issue schedule for June 8, 2012.

April 6th: Premiere of English-dubbed episode 5 for US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada at Nico² (English)

April 1st: Puella Magi Madoka Magica The Movie announcement in Anime Contents Expo 2012. Official subtitles are The Beginning Story (始まりの物語) and The Everlasting Story (永遠の物語). Both are set for Autumn 2012.

March 28th: Countdown to Madoka Magica stage at Anime Contents Expo 2012 at Makuhari Messe on April 1. Broadcast at Nicovideo.
March 15th: A roguelike RPG based on Madoka Magica story, Puella Magi Madoka Magica Portable went on sale in Japan.

February 10th: Premiere of English-dubbed episode 1 for US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Japan at Nico² (English) or Nicovideo (Japanese).

February 15th: Puella Magi Madoka Magica starts streaming in North America on CrunchyRoll.

January 14th: The Puella Magi Wiki is One Year Old! It has been one year since this wiki started, the day after Episode 2 aired. At that time, the wiki was mainly meant to gather the theories, speculation and findings discussed in the Madoka Threads, and not that much of canon or official information. It is only after that that it started to grow and include other kinds of information.

December 21st: A browser-based, multi-player Puella Magi Madoka Magica Online announced. More information at the official website.
December 15th: Puella Magi Madoka Magica awarded 2011 Animation Grand Prize in the Japanese Media Arts Festival.

November 25th: Madoka Secret Project announced.

November 7th: Puella Magi Madoka Magica movie series announced! More information in this month's issue of NewType Magazine.

October 14: Puella Magi Madoka Magica has had a three-volume BD/DVD release confirmed by Aniplex USA, with a special collector's box announced and Madoka's, Kyuubey's, and Sayaka's VAs announced. Pre-orders go up Oct. 17th, and the first volume will be released February 14th. Details here.

October 8th: Puella Magi Madoka Magica won awards in twelve categories, including best TV animation and director, in NewType's new annual anime awards. Madoka previously won another award this year, Anime Kobe 2011 TV Feature Award.

October 3rd: Happy birthday Madoka!

September 21st: The sixth (and last) volume of Puella Magi Madoka Magica is now available in Japan.
Along with the two last episodes of the series, and the usual booklet (including Ume Aoki's 4koma), this volume is also shipped with the third part of the soundtrack (containing some of the most-awaited tracks of the series).

September 3rd: The official website announced that Puella Magi Madoka Magica has won the Best Television award at the 2011 (16th) Animation Kobe Awards.[Details]

August 24th: The fifth Blu-Ray/DVD volume is out! It contains Episodes 9 and 10, as well as the third Drama CD, Sayaka and Kyoko's character song, and the usual 4koma by Aoki Ume.

August 8th: On the 8th of August a PSP game was announced. The game will be a dungeon adventure RPG featuring the original storyline including new plots.
