Rena Minami is the anime version of Rena that debuted in the 2017 mobile game Puella Magi Madoka Magica Side Story: Magia Record. She was originally released in the mobile game prior to her debut in the anime, and subsequently an anime version of her unit was released in late May 2022.

Summary
A Magical Girl in a team with Momoko and Kaede. She struggles to express herself because of her tactless personality, is easily misunderstood, and has few friends. She often fights with Kaede, but has a cute side that treasures their matching accessories.
Side Story
The anime version of Rena does not have an original MSS. Instead, it is a recap of the first two seasons of the Magia Record Anime as told through screencaps.
