How do we edit sidebar links on the left? I'm trying to figure out how to add additional links under Content and Community Content. Can these sections be linked to categories? --Sayaka 17:17, 18 January 2011 (CST)

: As stated on /a/, I think we should remove at least one of the thumbnails and put a big banner instead. I'm okay with staying with the original skin as long as the homepage doesn't look too boring (but not too messy either) --Homerun-chan 17:45, 18 January 2011 (CST)
::How about something like this as a banner? : The News page could probably be updated by trawling the Main Page edit history, and maybe adding other bits if you can think of them. == Refactoring the facts-speculations-finds pages ==
:: Good idea. I'll find some time to do it. -- 0x99 (talk) 13:49, 16 September 2023 (UTC)

Some anons suggested that the theories page looks like a unattracting blob of text. Some other mentionned that it would be nice to be able to speculah'te over the trivia and observations. Yet another (or a samefag, that's not the point) started the Finds section because his content didn't fit anywhere else. So I think it's time to remodel all this a bit.
:: I did this, seems to work great. Now to populate 2015 to 2021... -- 0x99 (talk) 12:42, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
How about this:
*We rename the Trivia section to "Facts and Observations" or something of the like. On that page, we make a section per episode, then one subsection per observation. This subsection has the fact itself (matching with a pic if relevant), and a subsubsection where we write observations and speculations as one-liners, just like the Character pages. We should also make a visual difference between pure speculation and pure observations
*The texts in Shaftspeak are posted on the Runes page (or a subpage). For each interresting bit of text, we post a screencap, a translation, and observations/speculations. Same as before, one-liners are enough.
*The Theories page hence only has the general theories, the ones that combines pieces of speculations together. I think theories about Kamijou, for example, could be moved somewhere else (in the Characters page for instance)
*We can delete the Finds page since it's redundant with the rest.

How does that sound to you? --Homerun-chan 22:10, 18 January 2011 (CST)
::: That's slightly different from my thought, but it's probably easier to work with this way anyway. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 15:07, 24 September 2023 (UTC)

:So by your suggestion, we gonna have
Main visual
:# Facts and Observations as a merge between current Trivia and Finds
:# Speculah:Runes for runes deciphering for each episode
:# Speculah:Theories for general theories (move all Faust, etc. stuff into F&O)
:I have no problem up to this point, but I don't think character speculation should belongs in characters page. They should stay in one place, possibly sub section inside the Facts and Observation. --0x99 16:39, 18 January 2011 (CST)
::Well, now that I look at the speculah page carefully (my ISP is fucking up my connection at the moment so I had a hard time surfing on the wiki while writing this), there isn't much character-specific theories, aside from Kamijou (who didn't even get his own page to begin with). There are a few speculations on Homura's page however; that's more like what I was talking about (you know, small doubts/suspicions could go to the character's page, while longer theories would get their own page) --Homerun-chan 17:06, 18 January 2011 (CST)

Suggestion: all theories/speculah, but not facts/observations, should be tagged with the current episode number. Then when wikifags read them they will know how out of date they might be, and whether they might need updating with new information (at which point the ep# is updated) or deleted because subsequent episodes have disproven/obsolete.

(This was originally on my talk page but I have moved it here as it concerns the whole wiki.) While not an official Wiki, this is a Wiki for official content. Outside of personal OC's on the user's pages, is there a reason to include fanworks on the wiki? Fan roleplays have long since died, and many games are likely dead due to flash player shutting down. Is there a reason to have them? Amaterasu (talk) 17:24, 18 December 2023 (UTC)
:I think it's best to keep what we have now as an archive rather than remove it since they were a part of the fanbase during the early days. We keep Poorfag's page up for a reason since it was a meme thing and it doesn't interfere with official pages much like OCs on our user pages. As long as they're kept separate from the official stuff, I think it's ok. I believe you can still play the games even though flash player shut down, I remember there being a big project to archive and make old flash games playable when the shut down was initially announced. -The Witch's House (talk) 02:34, 19 December 2023 (UTC)

Now that Episode 3 article is being created, I believe we should refactoring Wiki structure again, hopefully the last time, in this way to reduce some redundancy in editing and make some room for future expansion:

The point of this is to make the Wiki a bit more organized, with all relevant informations in one place. Editing should also be easier since the "what page should I this content belongs" problem should be no more. How does that sound? --0x99 01:07, 21 January 2011 (CST)

:"what page should I this content belongs" .never had this problem before. with all relevant informations in one place. impossible - what is not relevant to you might be relevant to others. for example new comers might have to struggle to comprehend the dry facts presented at some of the pages. i for one want to help them by making the content more interesting. --User:Saveol2009 09:45, 21 January 2011 (CST)

: cont. what i advice is for the first layer - " the surface " - could be like the traditional wiki with dry facts and content everybody agrees on but i d like that at least my pages/work should be spared by branching of the surface. like that Gertrude lair page might be referenced for example at characters/ gertrude so if you decide to remove the links from the main page its not orphaned and unknown. --Saveol2009 04:07, 21 January 2011 (CST)
::Not relevant to me, but relevant to that episode. What I meant was it is better if we have an article structured like this:
:::Episode 1
:::*Summary
:::*Runes
:::*Findings
:::*Trivia
:::*External links
::Than three articles discussing about one episode. Maybe the general finding page will remain, if someone want overall view of references, however I think adding category, e.g. ":Category:Faust reference" might works better in this case. --0x99 04:00, 21 January 2011 (CST)

Main Page cleanup

I've taken the liberty to clean up the Main Page styling a little. It's using the same layout as before, but with more consistent spacing/etc. so it looks a lot less cluttered. It's also now and a lot less broken when viewing on a mobile phone. Adding/removing columns should now be a lot less insane. I'm unsure what to do with the News/Wishlist links, though, since they haven't been updated for quite a long time. -- 0x99 (talk) 10:13, 16 September 2023 (UTC)

The News page could probably be updated by trawling the Main Page edit history, and maybe adding other bits if you can think of them. With some work it could even be arranged so that it's the source of the news on the main page (wrapping the lines that should be on the main page in <onlyinclude> tags). ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 13:33, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
Good idea. I'll find some time to do it. -- 0x99 (talk) 13:49, 16 September 2023 (UTC)
I did this, seems to work great. Now to populate 2015 to 2021... -- 0x99 (talk) 12:42, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
That's slightly different from my thought, but it's probably easier to work with this way anyway. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 15:07, 24 September 2023 (UTC)

Main visual

Would it be worthwhile to add the Scene0 main visual to the main page, too? I think a tabber would work for the desktop view, and on mobile there should be enough space to add it below Rising's. EPF (talk) 13:07, 24 September 2023 (UTC)

I've made some adjustments, what do you think? -- 0x99 (talk) 13:18, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
I'm not sure… I've been so used to seeing the name beside the key visual and now it's moved below it… I can't find any real complaints though… ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 15:07, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
OK, let's try again. What about this one? -- 0x99 (talk) 15:16, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
Oooh, I like it! Thanks EPF (talk) 15:30, 24 September 2023 (UTC)

Not sure where to put this

So... I'm not sure why I'm not an autoconfirmed user, but I don't know where to put this question? -- ReiAyanami

I think you may need to wait few more hours. Autoconfirm is set to 3 edits and 7 days from the date of registration. From what I see, you should get autoconfirmed today (Nov 7) at 20:18:23 (UTC) -- 0x99 (talk) 14:30, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
Alright, thank you! I didn't realize it was so exact. :) ReiAyanami (talk) 19:28, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
Sorry for this, we used to have a lot of spam back in the day (who made a few edits to get autoconfirmed then proceeded on creating an SEO spam page). -- 0x99 (talk) 21:07, 7 November 2023 (UTC)

Future of Fanworks

(This was originally on my talk page but I have moved it here as it concerns the whole wiki.) While not an official Wiki, this is a Wiki for official content. Outside of personal OC's on the user's pages, is there a reason to include fanworks on the wiki? Fan roleplays have long since died, and many games are likely dead due to flash player shutting down. Is there a reason to have them? Amaterasu (talk) 17:24, 18 December 2023 (UTC)

I think it's best to keep what we have now as an archive rather than remove it since they were a part of the fanbase during the early days.
I'm also very much agree with this. For a more early meme and such we could make a banner that this was part of the community in the early days and are no longer updated. For ongoing content such as Fanworks I think the list of games/media/crossover are still worth keeping (and possibly updating). --- 0x99 (talk) 06:39, 23 December 2023 (UTC)

GunsGirlZ Crossover

So I have been just looking around the wiki, and I stumbled across the crossover page! I read it, expecting it to have the GGZ collab in it... but it wasn't there? I was wondering if it just hadn't been added yet, or if theres a reason that it hasn't been! The GGZ collab is probably my favorite PMMM collab, with the battle cats coming in second :P

Honestly it just hasnt been updated. you're more than welcome to add the info if you'd like (I dont play it unfortunately but it looked cute!)Sondenise (talk) 21:56, 21 March 2024 (UTC)
I can't see anything about the crossover on the page you linked to. You should link not to the other wiki's main page but to a page actually talking about the crossover. Otherwise there's no point in adding the link at all. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 02:18, 23 March 2024 (UTC)

Oh, sorry about that. The link broke... Sadly since the computer I use is limited by my school I can't fix the link,, I'm sorry haha madolily .+* (talk)♥

Looks like someone else fixed it for you, so it's okay. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 17:33, 26 March 2024 (UTC)
