Meguru has recently joined the Broadcasting Club. However, one day Meguru's senpais informed her that they would close the club due to their lack of members, since there were only 4 members. Meguru seems to have no problem with this apparently, asking her senpai for sweets to eat. Despite this, Meguru does not want the club to close because she wants to use the club to fulfill her wish. Meguru seeks to find candidates to join her club, but she is unsuccessful. Meguru laments for not having done anything and wonders what she could do with her and says that she would have to be a great master of ceremonies to save the club from her, when Kyubey appeared in front of her. Meguru tries to narrate her encounter with Kyubey, whom she mistakes for a tanuki, but she claims to be bad at narrating and wonders if she is dreaming. Kyubey asks Meguru if she would like him to grant her a wish and she says that it is her wish, to become a popular Mistress of Ceremonies. Kyubey asks what that is and she says that they are in charge of hosting live events, like on television or radio. Meguru tells Kyubey that she joined the club for that, but her dreams are over, because she is not good at it and her club is going to close. Kyubey says that he can grant her wish and in exchange she must fight witches as a magical girl.
