Homura's Revenge! Chapter 3

The chapter begins with Mami fighting Charlotte. Madoka watches nervously as Sayaka cheers Mami on.

Meanwhile, Homura struggles in her binds, thinking that she doesn't have much more time left before Mami dies. Suddenly, Kyubey returns, saying that he wants to release Homura. She asks why he would want to do that, and Kyubey responds that he doesn't want Mami to die. Homura asks if Kyubey is still going to encourage Mami to kill her, and Kyubey dodges the question, saying things would be more difficult for both of them if Mami were to die.

Begrudgingly, Homura drops a knife from her shield's hammerspace. She tells Kyubey to use that knife to cut her free. Kyubey asks what she thinks of him just killing her instead, and Homura says it would just be faithful to how much of a creep the Incubators are.

In the fight, Mami hits Charlotte with a Tiro Finale. As the binds surround the doll form, the snake form balloons out of the Witch's mouth. Just as Mami is about to be decapitated, Madoka tackles her and saves her. While Mami is grateful, both she and Sayaka chastise Madoka for doing something so reckless. Even so, Mami says, Madoka saved her life and that they won't see her let her guard down again. She fights Charlotte, eventually tying her down and shooting her with her Tiro Finale attack.

As the Witch seemingly dies, Homura barges into the room and surprises Mami. Mami asks how she got there, and the dying Charlotte uses the opportunity to kill Mami. Homura, saddened, begins to fight Charlotte,

When the fight is over, Sayaka yells at Homura. She says that if Homura hadn't barged in, then Mami would still be alive. Homura picks up the grief seed as Madoka cries, with Sayaka demanding she give that seed to them since it belonged to Mami. Homura says that this seed belongs to magical girls, and that the two of them have no right to touch it.
