Homura's Revenge! Chapter 7
The chapter begins with a flashback with Sayaka and Kyoko chastising each other about their beliefs. The flashback ends and the fight between the duo and Homura continues. Sayaka summons giant swords around Homura while launching the swords she summons earlier. Kyoko runs down the giant swords to attack Homura and hits her with a strong swing. Homura is gravely injured as Sayaka jumps at her, slashing downward.
Just before the attack lands, Homura stops time and says she doesn't want to fight or hurt either of them. However, she resolves, if she wants to escape she will need to hurt them. She takes out a pistol and fires three times, twice at Kyoko's chest and once at Sayaka's leg. Homura resumes time and Sayaka gets hit, but Kyoko is able to block the bullets. Sayaka falls and Kyoko begins to rush to her, but Homura appears behind Kyoko with the gun to her head, telling her that the two are very good but that she can't dodge anything at point blank.
At that, Kyoko chuckles. She says that Homura mistakenly thinks she has the benefit of time. Suddenly, Sayaka stabs Homura in the stomach. As Homura stumbles, she thinks about how fast and strong Sayaka has become as she drops a bomb. Despite her efforts, the bomb barely scratches Sayaka and she advances. Similarly, before Homura can stop time, Kyoko grabs her and prevents her from doing anything. She tells Sayaka to finish the job, and Sayaka raises her sword. Homura begs for Madoka to forgive her, but the sword never comes.
Sayaka crumbles, her soul gem completely black. Homura rushes forward and pulls out a grief seed, but Kyoko stops her because she thinks Homura is going to hurt her. Kyoko yells at Sayaka to get up, but Sayaka apologizes. Her soul gem hatches and Oktavia von Seckendorff is born. Kyoko dodges Oktavia von Seckendorff's attacks, asking where the Witch came from. Homura suddenly appears and says that Kyoko knows what happened, and that the witch before them is Sayaka. Kyoko doesn't believe Homura and asks what she did to Sayaka, and Homura answers that she did nothing.
Kyoko asks if there is anything they can do to save her as she realizes what Homura is saying is true, but Homura says there is no way to revert the transformation. Homura stops time and asks for Sayaka's forgiveness as she destroys Oktavia von Seckendorff.
The scene fades out and is replaced with a defeated Sayaka threatening Homura. Kyubey appears, saying that he thought this wouldn't have happened since Kyoko was there. Madoka appears as Kyubey says that it's time for an explanation.
And so, Kyubey does. He explains to Kyoko that Homura is looping time. This causes Kyoko to demand why Homura didn't tell her sooner. Homura responds that she did multiple times in previous loops, but not once did she ever believe what she said. Madoka tells them to stop fighting, and Kyoko walks away with Sayaka sadly. Kyubey turns to Madoka and Homura and says that Walpurgisnacht is nearly upon them and that Kyoko is unlikely to help. Kyubey bids them goodbye as he reminds Madoka of the wish she nearly made in the previous timeline.
The chapter ends on the day of Walpurgisnacht, the river flooding and sirens blaring.
