Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Madoka Kaname
- Magical Arrows: Madoka can produce arrows of pink magic that seem to explode on impact as well as only damage selectively, only hurting her enemies. She can fire as many as five in one shot and they're able to curve in mid-flight to change direction. Additionally, her magic seal enables her to multiply her arrows and create hundreds of them and in her Ultimate form, it can create enough of them to destroy beings the size of planets.
- Incredible Potential: Madoka is able to take out Walpurgisnacht in one hit in the right conditions. This would appear to burn through her magic near instantly however, and turn her into a witch.
- Healing: In the timeline where Magia Record takes place, it is postulated that Madoka and Iroha Tamaki's magic are very similar. As Iroha has magic similar to healing, and Madoka is known to have wished to heal a cat in most previous timelines, it is highly likely that she possesses healing magic in most of them.
- Remembrance: Madoka has some sort of ability to remember moments of the previous timelines, experiencing it as though it was a dream, as well as occasional moments of déjà vu.
- Water Manipulation: In her Swimsuit form, Madoka attacks by shooting water projectiles from her bow-shaped water gun.
Doppel:
- Domain: When Madoka's Doppel emerges, it creates a space where everything around it gets pulled in. Once absorbed, it takes full command of whatever's inside.
- Projection: Gretchen's outer shape is projected from the giant soul gem shape at its center, much like a Brocken spectre.
- Cosmic Scale: Her presence as a witch is so powerful that even in one of her earlier forms, she can obliterate a planet within ten days, or her barrier may even grow to encompass it, wiping out all life in favor of her dream world. Gretchen can even grow to such sizes that she could eventually crush galaxies under her weight.
- Salvation: Her barrier, a distorted reality where she traps the absorbed life, serves as her version of paradise. This is essentially her heaven, where all life forms merge within her realm, a place shaped by her twisted perception of salvation and mercy.
- Flight: Her familiars are able to fly due to the wings they possess.
- Judgment: Kriemhild Gretchen's minions weigh the sins of those rising into her heaven. The more impure the heart, the deeper the mercy bestowed by the witch.
- Flight: Madoka is able to fly due to her angelic wings.
- Law of Cycles/Vital Circle: Due to her wish, Madoka became a concept beyond the physical universe, as well as an eternal goddess. Her existence was wiped from everyone's memories, with the exception of Homura.
- Emissaries: If the situation calls for it, she's able to send the magical girls she's saved back to life from her heaven in missions as emissaries. She can even send a Pink Incubator to monitor, communicate directly with them and give instructions.
- Salvation: Madoka can heal and purify the souls of magical girls from despair, preventing them from becoming witches and taking them to heaven, as well as occasionally giving them a power boost instead.
- Reality Warping: Madoka can manipulate reality, allowing her to see all timelines as well as destroy them when it is necessary, though certain barriers do block this power of hers.
Homura Akemi
- Time Stop: Homura can temporarily stop time in the surrounding area with the exception of herself and anything in direct contact with her (such as holding hands). From an outside perspective, this appears as if she is teleporting from place to place. She cannot use this power infinitely, as her shield acts as a "sand timer" that only runs when time is stopped. When the timer is finished, Homura can no longer stop time and can only restart the month.
- Hammer Space: Besides blocking damage, her clockwork shield can store any size and amount of munition. Thus far, Homura has seen storing and pulling out from it pistols, grenades, flashbangs, an M249 and a large amount of RPGs.
- Energy Manipulation: She would appear to be able to fire purple-ish blasts of magic out of her hand (or soul gem), as well as form energy barriers around her shield to block attacks. In chapter 5 of Oriko Magica she creates a defensive barrier around Madoka.
- Time Loop: Homura can rewind time back one month; however, she must wait at least one month between uses (or use up one month's worth of sand in her timer). Just like her time stop ability, she can use this power on others as well.
- Healing: Homura is seen healing, or recalibrating her eyesight, allowing her to no longer wear glasses. It's also possible that she healed her heart condition and altered her physical state, allowing her to beat the school's pole jump record.
- Magical Arrows: Due to her wish in the new universe involving Madoka, whom only Homura remembered, she was granted an ebony bow like Madoka's that produces arrows of magic that can change direction and explode on impact. She can also rain arrows like Madoka with a similar magical seal, but on a smaller scale.
- Corrosion Inducement: In Portable, Homura's able to sprout black energy wings from her back which induce corrosion, this is likely also the attack she uses at the end of Episode 12.
- Memory Manipulation: Due to her wish in the new universe involving Madoka, whom only Homura remembered, she was granted the ability to manipulate both her own memories and those of others. When Homura took a part of the Law of Cycles, she could manipulate memories on a universal scale.
- Magic Imbuement: Homura is able to move objects by imbuing them with magic through physical contact, as seen when she "drove" a large truck into Walpurgisnacht while on its roof.
- Weapon Manipulation: In her Haregi form, Homura is able to create a large wooden hammer which she is able to levitate and control herself. It is likely she is able to conjure and manipulate other weapons similar to all other magical girls.
Doppel:
- Time Manipulation: Homulilly can still manipulate time, much like her master. She controls the sands of time themselves. Using them, she can forge anything as powerful as earthly weapons, or even more lighthearted weapons like a palm tree which fires coconuts.
- Fate Weaving: As the Doppel of Karma, she spins the threads of fate through many worlds, weaving an ever-deepening maze.
- Familiars: Behind her, 14 incomplete bodies made of pure emotion operate without the need for Homura’s conscious direction.
- Inner Labyrinth: Due to Kyubey's Isolation Field, Homulilly's labyrinth is inside Homura's soul gem, and Homura's able to rewrite the memories of those in it, invite people from the outside, and even partially control the laws of thermodynamics inside the labyrinth to create Nightmares.
- Revival: Homulilly's own funeral procession never ends, as it is an endless loop which she cannot escape.
- Teleportation: The Dolls are able to teleport to different locations within their barrier.
- Projection: Sometimes, they create shadow silhouettes of their forms to attack.
- Acting: The Dolls can convincingly display fake emotions, as well as pretend allegiance to manipulate others.
- Speech: The Dolls speak harsh, critical words as well as mock others. Manuke even shares stories.
- Recurrence: They have the magical ability to recreate events with flawless precision
- Resolve: The Lottes have serious, unyielding heads that ignore any attempts at persuasion from the witch herself, making them difficult to deter or manipulate.
- Size Variants: Lotte minions exist in both human-sized and gigantic “Brocken-type” forms.
- Exterminators: The soldiers harbor a specific animosity towards white rats (Incubators), enhancing their aggressive behavior when encountering them.
- Exterminators: Luiselottes specialize in eliminating white rats (Incubators).
- Tooth Mount: Each one rides a decaying tooth, which allows them to move through areas effectively in pursuit of rats.
- Flight: Liese minions fly in flocks but are hindered by their headgear, which impairs vision and causes them to collide with moving objects.
- Messengers: The Lieses' duty is to bear bad news, and they announce the beginning of the witch’s funeral procession.
- Obedience: They follow orders from the Clara Dolls, but their limited intelligence (on par with an average bird) restricts their independence.
- Size Variants: Lieses exist in both regular and gigantic “Brocken-type” forms, with the larger ones even being able to eat Magical Girls whole.
- Chewing: Tasked with chewing, the Lilias crush any foreign substances that enter their realm.
- Nut Cannon: They can fire a cannon made of crushed nuts from their mouths.
- Sturdiness: Their enamel is said to have a hardness rating of 10, emphasizing its durability and resistance to external force.
- Flight: They exist as iron airships hovering over the false Mitakihara, providing oversight and control over the stage below.
- Memory Manipulation: Lisas have the role of informing the “cast” of the play, rewriting the memories of humans brought into the witch’s barrier.
- Empathic Connection: Although a minion, Lisas are influenced by Homulilly's emotions, reflecting the witch’s state of mind.
- Flight: Nightmares are able to fly due to being carried by two spectral hands which accompany and direct them.
- New Existence: Nightmares are created from the negative emotions of the humans residing in Homura's labyrinth, having them act as a new energy source.
- Plush Projectiles: The Little Bear's Dream can shoot powerful pillows and teddy bears capable of destroying entire buildings while Hitomi's nightmare uses teddy-goats.
- Dancers: The Bear's Dream has the ability to summon dancer figures that aid in its assault.
- Bubbles: The first nightmare also uses bubbles as a form of attack.
- Stuffed Transmutation: The Little Goat's Dream can transform objects into stuffed versions of themselves. Though these effects can be undone by putting the object back together as Mami was able to do with her ribbons.
- Violin: The second nightmare attacks by using violins to bludgeon with.
- Purification: Upon being pacified, nightmares release a stream of purifying energy that purifies the soul gems of magical girls close by.
- Flight: Devil Homura can fly using her wings.
- Universal Rewrite: After taking part of the Law of Cycles, Homura was able to rewrite the universe to her will, as well as attack with her love and cracks in reality.
- Familiars: Homura can control Homulilly's familiars, seemingly having them integrated as a normal part of her new world, as well as having them send information to her.
Sayaka Miki
- Regeneration: Sayaka can quickly regenerate any otherwise fatal body damage and continue fighting. Because of her wish relating to healing someone, she uses less magic to do this and is more efficient at it than other magical girls, even Mami, who also made a wish related to healing.
- Screen Sweep: Leaving blue streaks in her wake, Sayaka is able to quickly bounce across the entire battlefield and take out any enemies in her path.
- Musical Platforms: Sayaka is shown creating magical platforms that take the appearance of musical notation to walk on and propel herself from. Whether this is specifically due to her own love of music, or an underlying reason for her wish, is uncertain.
- Ink Manipulation: In her Haregi form, Sayaka attacks with a calligraphy brush and ink, being able to draw ink symbols in midair as well.
- Witch Summoning: In Rebellion, after having been claimed by the Law of Cycles and returning to Earth, Sayaka is shown summoning her witch form to fight alongside her in battle. She is able to appear in any place where water is present, and, in environments which lack it, Sayaka uses her own blood to summon her.
- Teleportation: Sayaka herself is able to use Oktavia's power to teleport away through her cape, as well as project her voice.
- Music: In Madoka Magica Portable, Sayaka can use music to drive opponents mad or support allies.
Doppel:
- Flight: Sayaka's Doppel is able to freely, gracefully swim through the air.
- Weapon Manipulation: Oktavia’s hollow body can control multiple swords at once, sending them to strike enemies in rhythm with the soundwaves that resonate from within her.
- Flight: Oktavia's able to fly, as if swimming through the air.
- Labyrinth: Her labyrinth, a moving concert hall, changes its layout in accordance to her will, allowing Oktavia to shift its environment to bring people to her main hall.
- Wheel Summoning: Oktavia attacks by summoning and controlling giant wooden wheels which she throws at her enemies.
- Collective Harmony: The Holgers exist solely to perform for the mermaid witch in a perfect orchestra.
- Soul-Stealing Music: Oktavia's orchestra music drains the souls of those who listen too long.
- Dancer: The Klarissas dance tirelessly as cheerful background performers and existing solely to entertain and support the witch in her performances.
- Combat Adaptation: Altered by the mermaid witch’s magic, they serve as a combat force when commanded.
Mami Tomoe
- Healing: In episode 1, Mami demonstrated the ability to heal wounds on others. Unlike Sayaka however, whose wish was related to healing, Mami is not as good at healing quickly like Sayaka can.
- Restrain: Mami can summon ribbons to restrain and incapacitate an adversary.
- Ribbons: She can shape her ribbons as she sees fit, making bridges or giant pistols out of them. Mami had to study the mechanics of pistols first before being able to shape her primary weapon (ribbons) into them though. In The Different Story, Mami was shown to be able to turn her ribbons into strings to be both sharp and durable, using them to counter Kyoko's speed in a fight.
- Ribbon Construct: As seen in Rebellion, Mami can create a duplicate of herself entirely out of ribbons. Whether it is capable of fighting on its own, possesses some form of its own consciousness, or if she is able to control and experience sensations through it, is uncertain.
- Ribbon Barrier: Mami used her ribbons to create a ribbon barrier around Madoka and Sayaka to protect them from harm.
- Magic Imbuement: Mami imbued Sayaka's bat with magic in episode 2, having it form shields to stop enemies.
- Bullet Enhancement: Mami can imbue her bullets with many powers, like having special explosion bullets or bullets that can turn into her restraining ribbons.
- Other Abilities: She frequently summons a cup of tea after defeating her enemies. In episode 1, Mami is able to kill familiars with only the light from her soul gem. In Rebellion, Mami is shown using her magic to instantly curl her hair.
Doppel:
- Strength: Candeloro possesses powerful vine arms which are stronger than they seem and can easily pierce through most enemies.
- Soul-Draining Food: Anyone consuming food at Candeloro's tea party will have their soul drained.
- Familiar Possession: Can possess her familiars to perform powerful attacks, such as her version of Tiro Finale, but with flames instead of regular ammunition.
- Invitation: Du Polignacs welcome and guide humans within the witch’s barrier, leading them to a tea party hosted by the witch.
- Binding: They restrain those attempting to flee, ensuring they remain within the witch’s domain.
Rumor of Kamihama's Holy Maiden:
- Frost Manipulation: Holy Mami's attacks are infused with frost.
- Empowerment: The Rumor strengthens all of Mami's abilities, making her ribbons bigger and stronger, allowing her to summon more muskets and even making it possible for her to change the direction of her bullets in midair.
Kyoko Sakura
- Erecting Fencing: Kyoko can erect impenetrable, latticed barriers to keep others from harm or to isolate her adversary. She can also create other things such as a chain or staircase.
- Giant Spears: Kyoko's able to summon giant versions of her weapon from the ground. She can ride them and they move somewhat like snakes due to their chained form.
- Illusions: Kyoko's unique ability which she lost. She was originally able to create illusions to trick others in various ways.
- Illusion Duplicates: This power was shown in Drama CD 3, "Farewell Story", where she created up to 13 duplicates of herself. The attack was named Rosso Fantasma by Mami. Kyoko's subconscious mind blocks her use of this power after she lost her family.
- Flame Manipulation: Kyoko can use fire in her attacks as well as simply use small quantities of fire for other means.
- Magic Imbuement: In Episode 4, she used her soul gem to transform and enhance a pair of binoculars.
- Soul Gem Detonation: Suicide attack. Able to create an explosion by shattering her soul gem to take out witches in one hit. It is a technique which other magical girls are able to do with explosions in different ranges.
- Other Abilities: Kyoko was able to keep Sayaka's (soulless) body from decaying while also keeping it warm. This might be a generic use of magic all of the girls can learn to do, but it might also just be an application of healing magic on a body other than hers.
Doppel:
- Hypnotic Mist: Ophelia can generate a thick mist from the flowing sleeves of her kimono-like form. This mist has a hypnotic quality, able to cloud the minds of her enemies and create illusions that disorient them. She can also create illusions to allow Kyoko to swim, which she was previously unable to do.
- Doppel Form: Kyoko's been the only magical girl who was able to equalize her Doppel into creating a new, fused form.
- Mist: Ophelia produces a thick mist which clouds her barrier and confuses her enemies.
- Companion Horse: She is always accompanied by a forgotten horse, though she cannot remember what it is or its significance.
- Duplication: Ophelia has access to Kyoko’s lost ability, Rosso Fantasma, which allows her to create duplicates of herself. These duplicates are solid and capable of delivering powerful melee attacks.
- Spear Form: Ophelia can transform into a spear and eject herself for long-range attacks.
- Dragon Heads: Zoes march orderly through fog, retracting humanoid heads and extending dragon-like heads to attack.
- Fire Breathing: They're able to breathe fire as an offensive maneuver.
- Familiar Summoning: The Zoe familiars which carry torches allow them to summon additional Zoes.
Nagisa Momoe
- Bubbles: Nagisa can blow powerful bubbles that can even crack a certain witch's barrier.
- Greed: Nagisa's magic makes her greedier and more self-assertive, according to a Rebellion production note.
- Food Manipulation: Nagisa frequently attacks by using food or sweets. In her Valentine form, she even attacks by manipulating chocolate and in her Summer form, with soda.
- Hammer Space: Nagisa's been shown to attack by trapping her opponents inside a covered plate which is much smaller than them, as well as eating it. She's also been shown to have eaten human bodies in order to get rid of them so they're not found by authorities.
- Witch Summoning/Transformation: Nagisa can transform between her normal form and Bebe/Charlotte due to her being claimed by the Law of Cycles. She can even do so partially, usually by only transforming her face. When sent as an emissary to the universe of Magia Record, where offshoots of her witch still existed, her presence caused their numbers to spike considerably.
Doppel:
- Food Generation: Charlotte is able to generate different sweets directly from its body, either candy, chocolate or even soda between its different forms. She is, however, unable to create cheese.
- Flight: After exiting her doll's form, she is able to freely fly through the air.
- Layers: Charlotte is quite durable, and appears to regenerate from layers from within its mouth after being injured.
- Cheese Detection: Pyotrs are driven by an innate compulsion to search for cheese, though their effectiveness is low.
- Cheese Nursing: While Pyotr searches, Polina “nurses” the cheese, caring for and safeguarding it.
- Acrobatics: Polina can assist in battle by helping other magical girls, particularly in the trapeze, as seen with Mami.
Kyubey
- Telepathic Communication: Kyubey communicates with potential and contracted Magical Girls through telepathy, as opposed to verbally. He is able to use himself as a medium through which non-contracted girls can communicate to each other or contracted Magical Girls.
- Vision Sharing: Kyubey can share visions of sights and sounds with potential and contracted Magical Girls.
- Elective Invisibility: Kyubey is invisible to everyone except for Magical Girls and girls with sufficient magical potential. Normal humans do not notice his presence at all, just as he does not seem able to communicate with them.
- Teleportation: Kyubey has been evidenced to cross long distances in impossibly short time spans, the method for which is yet unknown, but can be assumed to be teleportation. In episode 10, he also fades into reality above Homura, which may be the visible manifestation of him teleporting.
- Wish Granting: Kyubey can grant wishes to those with magical potential, no matter how wild and unrealistic they may be. However, this process is limited by the karmic potential of a contractee, and insufficient karmic power may result in negative or unintended side-effects, such as lack of power control or a wish that cannot be properly or completely executed. Kyubey himself has no control over how a wish is interpreted, and seems to be unable to refuse or revoke a wish once a proper one has been made. However, there have been shown to be some exceptions to what he can grant, unlimited by a girl's karmic potential, such as if a wish is for something that he does not understand (for example, wishing to visit a fictional location he isn't familiar with).
- Soul Gem Creation: Kyubey is capable of creating a small egg-shaped gemstone called a soul gem for each Magical Girl. He does this by pulling the contractee's soul out of their body and forming it into their soul gem. As such, this results in temporal pain on the contractee while the contract is made. This makes the newly formed Magical Girl capable of transforming and using magic, as well as increased agility, strength and pain threshold, at the expense of the soul being separate from the body and thus controlling it externally, akin to a puppet.
- Soul Gem Stimulation: As referenced in episode 7, Kyubey can create impulses of certain feelings on a soul gem simply by touching it. In Sayaka's case, he emulates a pike (probably mimicking Kyoko's) impaling Sayaka's stomach.
- Energy Conversion/Collection: Kyubey is able to collect emotional energy from witch transformations, and Doppel emergences. As explained in Magia Record, Kyubey does not need to be in proximity to a witch formation or the summoning of a Doppel to obtain its energy, as he collects it even while he cannot enter Kamihama City. This implies that the collection of this emotional energy is an inherent part of either process that he merely facilitates, or that this energy is naturally released into the universe when it is created. In Timeline 6, he collects it by magical girls dropping grief seed fragments into a hatch-like "mouth" on his red oval on his back. How he is able to transport this energy also remains a mystery.
- Grief Seed Consumption: Said to be one of Kyubey's "many duties", he can open a hole in the teardrop-like marking on his back to consume grief seeds. This permanently destroys the grief seed, preventing the witch within it from regenerating when it accumulates enough taint from a soul gem it purifies. It is unclear if he only does this to prevent witches from reappearing, and thus keeping their population manageable, or if it is part of his process of collecting emotional energy, given he already collects it when soul gems become grief seeds.
- Replication: Kyubeys, or Incubators, are an artificially-created hive-mind/collective that span the universe, looking for people to turn into Magical Girls so as to collect emotional energy and combat entropy. Multiple individuals of his kind, referred to as "terminals", exist simultaneously, and can act, think, and talk independently of each other, but they all retain the same knowledge and memories. Typically, only one Kyubey terminal is primarily active in a given territory at any time, though several are either kept in reserve nearby or are somehow instantly deployed to replace one another if they are killed by some means. So as to save energy, they will consume the remains of their fallen selves when possible.
- Isolation Field: Kyubey's able to create an isolation field similar to a barrier, but only chooses to do so in extreme circumstances, usually to uphold, or sometimes restore the magical girl system. The isolation field can work as a method to trap others, such as when he reclaimed the Doppel System, and to isolate them from outside presences. This was also done with Homura's soul gem, which resulted in it not turning into a grief seed, breaking, or being taken by the Law of Cycles, instead creating a labyrinth within the gem. He was even able to make adjustments to let the victims which Homura invited to be absorbed in the world inside her soul gem, while not letting them leave.
- Cell Alteration: Kyubey can alter the bodies, including the brains, of beings who have incubator cells within them and make it possible for them to do things they otherwise couldn't.
- Observation and Calculations: Kyubey can keep track and measure many criteria through his observations, and can thus make attempts to follow the alternative that benefits him the most, or directly manipulate the situation. In Kyubey's own words: "If we can observe it, then we can interfere with it. And if we can interfere with it, we can control it." Because this is merely a calculation, it is not a true "sight into the future", as he's merely calculating statistics which he can keep track of. This can apply to many things, such as calculating time, speed, momentum, etc.
Madoka Magica Witches
Gertrud
- Flight: Gertrud can use her wings to fly around her labyrinth.
- Life Steal: Gertrud can steal the life of anyone who enters her labyrinth.
- Familiar Summoning: Gertrud can summon her familiars to fight opponents.
- Landscaping: Anthony can use their scissors to cut at both rose bushes and anyone who wanders into the labyrinth.
- Wander: Anthony can wander into other witches' barriers, often causing Gertrud annoyance.
- Flight: Adelbert can fly around the barrier.
- Hindrance: The smaller Adelberts can become rose vines to entrap intruders.
Suleika
- Darkness: Suleika's power in complete darkness is nearly unmatched.
- Darkness: Ulla gains immense power in the dark.
- Shapeshifting: Ulla is able to shapeshift into whatever Suleika wishes.
H.N. Elly/Kirsten
- Flight: H.N. Elly flies around her labyrinth with her wings and the help of Daniyyel and Jennifer.
- Visualization: Elly can visualize the worst memories of anyone who is unlucky enough to be in her barrier.
- Cartoons: Elly can cause anyone in her labyrinth to become "cartoons", having their bodies become temporarily malleable and stretchy.
- Flight: Daniyyel and Jennifer can fly around the labyrinth.
- Weightlessness: Anything Daniyyel and Jennifer touch becomes as light as a feather, allowing them to transport or manipulate whatever they touch with ease.
Albertine
- Familiar Creation: Albertine can draw an Anja to life to fight an opponent.
- Cry: Albertine can cry in order to keep attacks from hitting her.
- Shrink: Albertine's barrier shrinks down anyone who enters it, making Albertine appear gigantic.
- Movement: Depending on her vehicle, Anja could be able to fly, drive or pilot a boat.
- Ball Transmutation: Anja can turn any human inside Albertine's barrier into a bouncing ball, forcing them to bounce once for each lie they have ever uttered before they can revert to their human form.
Gisela
- Movement: In both her Silver and Rust forms, Gisela can use her wheels to move around at high speeds.
- Music: Dora can play music from her horns.
- Transformation: While Gisela is in her Silver form, Dora can transform into a motorcycle wheel for movement and attacks.
Elsa Maria
- Tree Growth: Elsa Maria can grow trees to keep attackers away.
- Familiar Control: Elsa Maria can summon Sebastians to fight for her.
- Snakes: After Elsa Maria is beheaded, twin snakes come out of her body in a last-ditch effort to kill the attacker.
- Soul: Implied by Sebastian's familiar card, Sebastians are amalgamations of the souls of people Elsa Maria has killed in her labyrinth.
- Elongation: Each Sebastian can stretch themself to great lengths to attack.
Uhrmann
- Wish for Love: Uhrmann wishes to love and be loved, causing empathy from those who enter her labyrinth.
- Hair Manipulation: Uhrmann attacks by extending and manipulating its mass of hair.
- Spin: As brainless creatures, Bartels are powerless to do anything except spin and attack.
Izabel
- Art: Izabel creates art in her labyrinth and calls people into it in order to see her art. However, the art is plagiarized.
- Familiar Summoning: Izabel can create familiars out of her archway to attack opponents.

- Magical Flames: She emits and exhales destructive, magical, multicolored fire which reduces everything in its path to dust. If she were to be turned upside-up, she would cause great destruction to the world.
- Stage Transformation: Walpurgis is strong enough to not need a labyrinth, but her arrival is marked by a theatrical, carnival-like procession which transforms the environment into a stage-like atmosphere.
- Conglomerate: She is an aggregation of countless witches, making her a “super-witch” with exponentially increased power. She also continuously absorbs witches around her, like a tornado gathering other tornados.
- Flight: These clowns are generally harmless unless their procession is disrupted, in which case they fly and attack their opponents.
- Echo: They're echoes of the forms of magical girls whose witches have been absorbed by Walpurgis.
- Circus Troupe Leader: Known as “Bluenose,” they pull ropes connected to Walpurgisnacht, orchestrating the grand spectacle of her appearance. Their main function is to sustain the spectacle rather than engage in battle, so they're non-aggressive unless provoked.
Quitterie
- Energy Balls: Quitterie continues a self-assigned mission of salvation even as a witch by attacking opponents with spheres of magical energy.
- Costumes: They're adorned in handcrafted costumes and are irresistibly adorable with the intent of disarming any aggression toward them.
Itzli
- Memory Manipulation: Itzli's capable of summoning past witches and familiars from memory as hazy, film-grain manifestations to attack with. When summoning other witches and familiars, the energy expenditure is indicated by glowing bulbs on her head.
- Galactic Memory: She's able to observe events and possibly retain memories across Homura’s time loops.
- Observation: Itzli can monitor everything across the world by observing through clovers.
- Gelatinous Body: She uses large hands grown from a gelatinous mass surrounding her brain to attack.
- Aerial Arrow Attack: Upon death, she transforms into an arrow-like projectile, launching into the sky before crashing down.
Paola
- Bouncing: Paola's capable of high-speed body slams by bouncing, though she usually clings to minions for survival in her oceanic barrier.
- Buoyancy: Bonas keep themselves and Paola afloat on the water's surface, helping navigate the barrier’s endless ocean. However, they're vulnerable to puncturing due to their air-filled bodies.
- Beach Ball Projectiles: They shoot beach balls that can disorient victims by flipping them upside down and leading them to drown.
- Disguise: The familiars disguise themselves as inflatable rings on water.
Shaft
- Rainbow Dream Emission: Shaft transforms into “oil-like rainbow dreams” that spread across the swamp, forming the essence of her barrier and supporting life for those inside. Victims trapped in her labyrinth survive only by inhaling these rainbow dreams.
- Insomnia: She has an unsleeping body and unchanging time, existing in a timeless cycle within her barrier.

- Memory Manipulation: Mutant Wraiths mimic people from victims’ memories to deceive them and revert to a more wraith-like form during attacks. Only those with a personal connection to the impersonated figure are deceived while others see them as wraith-like entities.
- Time Manipulation: Mutant Wraiths have the limited ability to stop time, perceived by others as super-speed.
- Sentience: Wraith Madoka is more self-aware and capable of telepathic communication, distinguishing it from typical wraiths.
Spindle Witch
- Fatal Touch: The witch instantly kills anything it contacts, absorbing the energy their body produces.
- Temperature Manipulation: It exerts intense cold by withdrawing heat absorbed from the lives and energy of its victims.
- Black Arrows: The Models attack with black energy arrows, similar to Homura's own attacks.
The Different Story Witches
- Flight: Several witches and familiars fought by Mami and Kyoko are shown to be able to fly.
- Projection: The Bovine Witch uses decoy copies of its body, with her true body being the axe the decoys attacks with. Its body can also change shape to grab and restrain enemies.

Mabayu Aki
- Optical Camouflage: Mabayu can manipulate light to hide herself or other objects and people.

- Future Sight: Mabayu's mom could see the future of those she looked into the eyes of. She even foresaw her own death, which Mabayu made her forget.

Puella Magi Kazumi Magica
Kazumi
- Destruction: Kazumi's own magic is typified as destruction by Juubey. It is very likely that this is the reason that the blasts she fires from her weapon are so destructive. This ability was originally from Michiru and was lost when Kazumi made her contract.
- Witch's Heart: Having been created by the flesh of witches, she has several traits reminiscent of them.
- Pseudo-Witch Detection: Her ahoge (hair tuft) has the unusual ability to detect pseudo-witches made by Kanna at a better rate than a normal soul gem could.
- Cannibalism: She's also able to regenerate from injuries by "cannibalizing" or absorbing the remains of her fellow clones.
- Witch Mutation: When her "soul gem" becomes tainted she enters a berserker state which is initially difficult to control. These mutations start out as claws, fangs and continue with more monstrous traits. It's implied that this is taxing and overuse will eventually cause them to become permanent, making her a complete witch.
- Witch's Kiss: Kazumi was able to place her own version of a witch's kiss when attacking Kaoru in order to stun her.
- The Powers of the Pleiades: Kazumi possesses the powers of all seven Pleiades Saints, though she wasn't shown to use all of them and they were also lost once she made her contract.
- Barrier: Kazumi has inherited the ability to create barriers from Umika.
- Body Reinforcement: Kazumi has Kaoru's physical reinforcement, making her able to turn parts of her body into metal.
- Summon Thunder: Like Saki, Kazumi can summon lightning strikes from above.
- Enhance Speed: Kazumi's able to move faster for brief periods of time like Saki. Similarly, this ability is assumed to have effects on her body.

- Reforming: Kazumi's transformed items, such as rendering a time bomb harmless as one of her first acts of magic. This is likely derived from Niko's reformation magic.

Kazumi Subaru:
- Enhancement: After becoming an authentic magical girl, Kazumi got the ability to "upgrade" the powers and capabilities of other magical girls, even changing their original magical girl outfits.
Doppel:
- Flight: In both forms, Carola possesses wings with which she is able to fly.
- Hunger: Carola's hunger is insatiable, and it is able to eat both magical girls, witches, as well as the battlefield itself.
- Darkness: Kazumi Subaru's Doppel attacks by unleashing a fog of darkness from within itself.
Umika Misaki
- Copy and Transference: Thanks to her unique magic, called "Reading and Writing", Umika can learn the powers of other magical girls (Reading) and transfer those powers to her allies (Writing). Through this, she was able to create clones of Kaoru to fight alongside them.
- Analysis (Reading Minds): Umika uses her book to read her opponent’s mind, their thoughts written directly onto its pages. This allows her to identify their weaknesses and strategize accordingly.
- Summoning Objects: Umika can summon various objects from her book, most notably a ball for Kaoru's attacks.
- Memory Manipulation: One of Umika's most powerful and unique abilities is the magic to manipulate memories by headbutting her target and firing lasers into their eyes. She has used this to brainwash Juubey, manipulate and restore Kazumi’s memories, and remove specific memories from other characters.
- City-Wide Memory Spell: It is revealed that Umika, with the help of the other Pleiades, cast a massive spell over all of Asunaro City as part of the Pleiades' plan to resist the magical girl system. This spell made regular Incubators imperceptible to everyone, edited the city’s memories to include Juubey instead of Kyubey, and erased the knowledge of how to purify soul gems without Juubey from the magical girls in the area.
- Barrier: Umika can summon a protective barrier around herself, which she uses to defend against attacks. Despite its great protective capabilities, the barrier can only be maintained for a limited number of hours, especially under harsh conditions.

- Heat Generation: Antonio's blood is hot like magma, and as it runs, it leaves behind a trail of fire.
Saki Asami
- Vital Manipulation: Saki can speed up and slow down her life functions, making it so she can survive in certain circumstances. This allows her to adapt to various situations such as prolonging her survival in extreme conditions or enhancing her physical performance in battle.
- Enhance Speed: Thanks to her magic, Saki can also move faster to a certain degree, but this has secondary effects on her body such as making her hair longer and aging her appearance.
- Lightning: Saki channels electricity through her riding crop, using it as a conductor and she can send lightning strikes directly at enemies or fire them into the sky, causing them to come crashing down like natural lightning bolts.
- Transfiguration/Containment: Saki was able to transform, or seal Michiru's grief seed into the form of an earring, which also kept it from being filled with impurities until it broke out on its own accord due to its witch's nature.
- Disconnect: The Pleiades have used a spell which they call Tocco Del Male to disconnect a magical girl from her soul gem, even with their body being within a 100-meter distance. They did so by directly touching the girls' soul gems and it seems that this ability can be learned by any magical girl, as seen when "Michiru" was able to learn it.

- Rebuilding and Reforming: Niko's able to deconstruct any material and reconstruct it into any desired object, including clones of herself. This wish not only enhances her combat abilities but also provides her with remarkable healing capabilities, as she can quickly recover from wounds.
- Tech: Niko can use her magic to create various tech, such as an app capable of reading a witch's residual power wavelength, which helps calibrate the magical girls' soul gems and track witches more accurately.
- Containers: Niko can create cylindrical containers which shrink objects placed inside them. Her magic was also responsible for keeping the soul gems inside the Freezer from becoming impure.
- Disconnect: The Pleiades have used a spell which they call Tocco Del Male to disconnect a magical girl from her soul gem, even with their body being within a 100-meter distance. - Animal Communication: Thanks to her own wish, she can communicate with animals as if she were speaking their language.
- Mind Control: Satomi's own Fantasma Bisbiglio spell allows her to take control of the body of another person. This control doesn't seem to affect their mind however, as every victim was aware of her control.
- Disconnect: The Pleiades have used a spell which they call Tocco Del Male to disconnect a magical girl from her soul gem, even with their body being within a 100-meter distance. They did so by directly touching the girls' soul gems and it seems that this ability can be learned by any magical girl, as seen when "Michiru" was able to learn it.
- Whistle: Ritterrüstung von Heulsuse's head is shaped like a whistle and it allows her to control or summon her familiars.
- Protective Body: An outer body protects the witch's real body inside it. The outer shell explodes upon receiving enough damage and the inner body held Satomi's own dead body inside it.
- Swarm: Ritterrüstung von Heulsuse's familiars are little critters which swarm and bite their enemies to pieces.
Michiru Kazusa
- Destruction: Michiru's own magic is typified as destruction. It is very likely that this is the reason that the blasts she fires from her weapon are so destructive.
- Rifled Muskets and Ribbon Summon: Michiru learned to summon muskets and ribbons to fight (most likely in an attempt to imitate Mami Tomoe).
- Disconnect: The Pleiades have used a spell which they call Tocco Del Male to disconnect a magical girl from her soul gem, even with their body being within a 100-meter distance. They did so by directly touching the girls' soul gems and it seems that this ability can be learned by any magical girl, as seen when "Michiru" herself was able to learn it in Magia Record.
Yuuri Asuka
- Healing: Yuuri had the power to heal people and cure terminal diseases, but this was said to take a lot of magic to do.
- Anesthesia Induction: Arzt Kochen can force anesthesia into any humans within her barrier, rendering them unable to resist.
Airi Anri (Yuuri)
- Shapeshifting: Airi has the power to turn into anyone thanks to her wish giving her the appearance of her friend Yuuri.
- Companion: Yuuri can summon a giant bull named "Cole", who is capable of powerful, fast charges. His agility allows him to jump and navigate the environment effectively, including standing atop power cables.
- Summon Firearms: Yuuri can summon various magical firearms, such as submachine guns and pistols. Her SMG's bullets have binding properties that can summon shackles on impact, immobilizing her targets and setting them up for Cole's charges. Additionally, she can fire large arrows from her pistols, one of them having stored a message in its fletching. These messages appear as ghostly holograms when the arrow is removed from the impact site.
- Force Barriers: Yuuri can create force barriers that damage anyone who comes into contact with them.
- Human Body: Nie Blühen Herzen holds its human body inside herself, allowing her to rise and manifest Yuuri's body while remaining connected to her. Almost devoid of self-awareness, it repetitively casts her last-used spell.
- Thread Manipulation: She can create thread-like constructs that trap her enemies, resembling descriptions of punitive experiences in purgatory.
Souju
- Shared Body: Both Ayase and Luca share the same body, and thus, each possesses the secondary soul gem of the other girl. This allows them to keep fighting even after one of them is incapacitated, as well as have both be present at once, allowing them to synchronize their powers. When their fire and ice attacks are perfectly in sync, they create an explosion due to the interaction between contraction and expansion of their opposing elements.
- Flight: Zweiköpfiger Böser Flügel's wings grant it the ability to fly.
Ayase
- Fire Manipulation: Ayase has the ability to create and manipulate fire, being opposite to her twin, Luca.
Luca
- Ice Manipulation: Luca has the ability to create and manipulate ice, being opposite to her twin, Ayase.
Kanna Hijiri
- Fusion: Kanna with her "connect" magic can use strings to create new objects or beings by fusing two or more magics, like the Evil Nuts that were created by Kanna with Niko's creation magic and Umika's copy and transference magic or the witch Hyades Daybreak, who is a fusion of the soul gems of most of the magical girls in the Pleiades Saints freezer. It is unknown if Kanna is able to "store" each magic collected, or if she needs to actively gather them before she wants to use them for a period of time.
- Imperception: Thanks to the effects of her wish, Kanna's strings can't be seen when she is connecting to another magical girl while fusing their magic.
- Rebuilding and Reforming: Kanna was able to retain Niko's powers even after her death. It's unknown if this was a special case where she was able to retain them due to her connection to Niko, or if she retains every power she copied in the past.
- Witch Manipulation: Kanna's strings allow her to control witches to which she uses her connect magic.
- Containers: Kanna can shrink objects and place them inside Niko's cylindrical containers. She also retained Niko's task of keeping the soul gems in the Freezer from gathering impurities.
Juubey
- Grief Seed Consumption: As Kyubey consumes used grief seeds through the hatch on his back, Juubey does the same through the circle on his forehead. While Kyubey’s acts like a simple receptacle, Juubey’s is more akin to an actual mouth as it can be seen clenching just like one’s mouth does while eating and munching sounds can be heard.
- Soul Gem Purification: Unlike Kyubey, Juubey has the ability to clean and remove the grief from soul gems, allowing the girls relief from having to compete with others for grief seeds. In chapter 21, it was revealed that Juubey was imperfect in this ability, as it is implied that cleaning the gems would only be effective if he had consumed a grief seed beforehand. Instead, he was only able to polish the surface of the gem so it appeared to be clean while the grief accumulated inside.
- Telepathic Communication, Invisibility, and Teleportation: It is assumed that Juubey had these abilities as well due to being an Incubator. However, unlike Kyubey or witches, Juubey is visible in photos.
- Emotions: Unlike other Incubators, Juubey has the capacity to feel emotions, seeing the Pleiades Saints as his friends.
Kazumi Magica Witches
'Prologue'
- Barrier Manipulation: Prologue’s barrier is situated inside a library mobile, also changing its location accordingly with it.
- Consumption: The witch is able to consume its enemies whole and place them in harsh conditions inside its labyrinth.
- Bookmarks: Her familiars are small bookmark people who float around her labyrinth.
- Sewing: They're able to heal the witch by sewing it back together after being hurt.
- Swarm: The familiars swarm the consumed victims of the witch, such was the case with Umika and Kaoru, who were only able to survive for around 5 hours due to Umika's barrier.
Hungrige Pumpe
- Familiar Fusion: This witch initially appears as a swarm of familiar-like entities that merge into one large eel-like creature.
- Colony Body: She resembles colony organisms such as jellyfish or coral, requiring the destruction of the entire body to defeat it. Her body is also buoyant and filled with air, which allows her to refill herself with air after being pierced by projectiles.
Hyades Daybreak
- Flight: Much like Walpurgisnacht, Hyades Daybreak flies around in the sky.
- Destruction: Hyades Daybreak has incredible destructive capabilities, with even its nature being that of destruction.
- Flight: They attack by flying quickly towards enemies with their respective weapons.
- Echo: Much like Walpurgisnacht's familiars, they are silhouettes of the magical girls whose witches have created Hyades Daybreak.
Puella Magi Oriko Magica
Oriko Mikuni
- Precognition: Oriko possesses precognitive powers, which cause her to receive visions. These visions do take up magic, and she cannot always control when they occur.
- Summon Spheres: In battle, Oriko can summon multiple spheres adorned with vine patterns. These spheres can attack with blunt force or shoot beams of magic, culminating in a powerful attack called Oracle Ray.
- Tracking: Her spheres emit magic that allows her to track their location.
- Deceleration: Latria was able to share her power with Oriko, which allowed her to slow her enemies down, and, paired with her predictions, she can keep up in a fight against Homura and her time stop.
Final Oriko:
- Summon Bat Partners: In her Final form, Oriko's spheres gain claw-like bat wings, which also have the capability to cut opponents and create tornados. Her Doppel notes that the bat spheres aren't servants, but rather partners performing alongside her.
Doppel:
- Petal Manipulation: Oriko's Doppel attacks by creating powerful petals, which it scatters by creating great gusts of wind.
- Sewing: Sotria is able to generate giant needles, which belong to Latria, to attack and sew enemies with.
Kirika Kure
- Deceleration: Kirika's personal magic allows her to slow her enemies down, making her seem superhumanly fast by comparison. Kirika can also use this ability on others, such as when she maintained the labyrinth of the witch she'd just killed, as well as on herself, slowing down her own transformation into a witch. The latter was necessary after Kirika's gem was made unable to be purified after being cracked, and it resulted in the labyrinth and familiars being released before the witch emerged.
- Fealty: Kirika's love of Oriko has her unconsciously acting in ways which would benefit her, such as her body automatically moving in front of an attack aimed at Oriko, or Kirika herself acting in ways which Oriko wants.
Doppel:
- Sewing: Latria is able to make large needles and thread to attack and sew its enemies.
- Deceleration: Kirika's witch retains her signature magic to slow down her enemies, making her especially difficult to counter.
- Binding: Checker-marked decorations inside her barrier are able to capture and bind victims, such as when they captured and subdued Mami.
- Fealty: After turning into a witch, Latria was somewhat free of her witch instincts due to her devotion to Oriko. This resulted in her also sharing her power with Oriko, allowing them both to slow others down.
- Devouring: These familiars are blob-shaped with hats and they can open large maws on their bodies to consume prey.
Yuma Chitose
- Healing: Yuma has a strengthened healing ability due to her wish to save Kyoko.
- Seismic Generation: Yuma is capable of making seismic movements, strong enough to temporarily disorient her opponent.
Doppel:
- Flight: Pistis is able to fly, despite the fact that Yuma herself is pulled off the ground by her ponytail when it emerges.
Komaki Asako
- Barriers: Komaki can erect barriers to protect herself or others.
Sasa Yuuki
- Mind Control: Sasa has the power to manipulate people's memories to better serve herself, which she uses on Oriko to manipulate her.
- Witch Control: Sasa's power extends to controlling witches and familiars, which she uses as her weapons.
Lina Hitomi
- Electricity Manipulation: Lina can manipulate electricity to erect barriers or strengthen her attacks.
Miyako Saki
- Inorganic Object Control: Miyako can control (at least) up to two dolls at the same time who fight for her. According to Kuroe Mura, Miyako's magic allows her to control any inorganic object, but it seems Miyako only uses her magic on her dolls.
Mio
- Sound Elimination (Stealth): Mio can remove sound from her in order to blend in with her surroundings.
Mai Akane
- Range Expansion: Mai has the power to extend the range of her attacks, which she uses with her katanas.
- Invisible Attacks: Mai's attacks seem to be imperceptible to the normal eye, as her range expansion attack is imperceptible/invisible, according to Kuroe Mura.

Suzune Amano
- Absorb and Copy: Suzune can absorb and copy the unique power of any witch she defeats. This is usually done through her sword and the new magic takes the place of the previous one.
- Fire Manipulation: Throughout the manga, she uses fire magic from Carmen to attack directly and create sword projectiles.
- Presence Concealment: Her Heat Shimmer spell functions as a stealth spell, allowing her to move around undetected and enhancing her combat mobility. It is noted that her stealth ability is so good that even Kyuubey cannot detect her.
- Clones: Suzune can create duplicates of herself to confuse opponents; these fakes dissolve into flames when destroyed.
- Memory Alteration: After killing Kagari's witch, Suzune gains all her powers. She was about to use this power to wipe herself from Matsuri's memory, but didn't do so.

- Mental Immunity: Matsuri's mind seems to be immune or resilient to deceptive magic, mainly her twin's memory manipulation magic, as she was shown to be the only one that can eventually get free from her magic by herself.

- Cancellation: Chisato can cancel the magical effects inflicted on others, or cancel a girl's magical effect altogether.

- Sound Wave Manipulation: Spica attacks by magnifying Chisato's voice to very high levels.
Kagari Hinata
- Memory Alteration: Kagari can alter people's memories to make them commit specific actions they would not do otherwise. She notably uses this on Suzune to make her into a killer, on many girls in Kamihama at once to make them forget about her, and even on herself to turn immediately into a more powerful witch.
- Imperception: With her memory alteration magic, Kagari can manipulate the minds of others so they can't sense her presence or someone else's.
- Hallucinations: Kagari can also manipulate one's perception, making them see things that aren't there, as well as show them visions.
- Nightmares: Due to Kagari's wish, or possibly due to her own initiative, Suzune regularly gets nightmares which seem to be made up of Kagari's witch form.
- Flight: The witch's real body is the book the shadow stands on, which is able to float around freely.
- Projection/Shapeshifting: What appears to be her witch's body is actually the projected shape which she uses to attack. The shadow's body is made up of a sort of liquid substance, allowing it to reform itself and change shape.
- Pocket Dimension: Kagari's witch contains a bigger space inside its body, where it stores its eaten victims and keeps the core of its real self.
- Flight: Her familiars are books which float around her labyrinth.
- Projection/Shapeshifting: The familiars, similar to Kagari's witch herself, are able to extend the shadow projections to attack and bind enemies.
Tsubaki Mikoto
- Fire Manipulation: Tsubaki can control fire, which she is shown using to enhance her sword slashes.
Doppel:
- Flight: Carmen is able to fly by riding atop a cloud.
Kanami Honoka
- Speed Boost: Kanami can increase her speed.
Ichika Kasumi
- Time Intervention (Speed Movement Manipulation): Ichika can "intervene in the time of her opponents", allowing her to get the first strike in a fight.
Suzune Magica Witches:
- Flight: The Rose Skull witch that Suzune attacks, and her familiars, are able to fly.
- Memory Manipulation: The Jack-In-The-Box witch that attacks Haruka shows her visions related to her traumatic memories and regrets.
Puella Magi Tart Magica
Tart
- Light Generation: Tart can create and use incredibly powerful light magical attacks at the expense that she is quickly drained of magical energy afterwards. She can also create light based weapons to fight.
- Holy Healing: Tart can create a healing circle in the sky to rain light down on multiple people, healing their wounds.
- Irregular: Due to her and Riz's wish, Tart had much more potential than she should have had normally and was even able to achieve a second, more powerful and permanent form to defeat Corbeau.
Final Tart:
- The Perfect Irregular: Through Riz's wish, Tart gained much more power than a normal magical girl. Additionally, with the help of Riz's soul gem, Tart was able to turn into her final form, which turned her soul gem into something more akin to a grief seed. As she was something more than a magical girl, in this state she was able to harm and even kill Isabeau, whom a normal magical girl couldn't harm. Afterwards, as Riz's soul gem fell apart, Tart floated down gracefully as she reverted to her normal form.
- Riz's Weapons: During the battle in which she uses this form, her power was greatly enhanced, she was able to turn her weapon into the kinds Riz used and made out of light.
- Grace Period: Afterwards, her transformation into a witch was halted for a period of time, unless she used magic. It was surmised that Tart's potential had grown so great that her witch would have been even more destructive than Isabeau.
Doppel:
- Holy Fire: The upside-down crosses that La Pucelle de Blancheur makes rain down burn its enemies with purifying flames.
Riz Hawkwood
- Shadows Manipulation: Riz can transport herself and other people between two or more shadows, even creating her own realm of shadows thanks to her magic.
- Knives Transfiguration: Riz has the power to transform her four knives into different weapons shadow weapons. Each knife turns into a specific weapon, these are a machete, a whip, a scythe, and a spear, each one representing Riz's deceased friends.
- Gates of Hell: Riz can take her and one other person into her shadow realm by the Gates of Hell, trapping them for eternity.
- Irregularity Facilitation: Through their wishes, Riz was able to allow Tart to briefly become an Irregular, greatly enhancing her abilities. After sacrificing herself, Riz's soul gem was able to fly around freely and connect to Tart, briefly transforming her to her final form before falling apart.
Doppel:
- Shadows: Obscurite attacks by extending its hair and wrapping her enemies in shadow, where they're mauled by many copies of Riz's weapons.
- Providence: Riz's Doppel can make light brighter, by attaching to it and itself becoming darker.
Melissa de Vignolles
- Annihilation: Melissa can use her weapon to generate a stream of energy which completely destroys anything it touches. She's also able to imbue this power onto other objects, such as rocks, to use as destructive projectiles.
- Electromagnetic Control: Melissa can release and control the cone at the end of her polearm through her electromagnetic magic while it is not connected to her polearm.
Doppel:
- Levitation: La Hire La Hire attacks by using lion-faced boulders which Melissa is able to control through her gauntlets.
Elisa Celjska
- Acceptance: Elisa has the power to alter other people's cognition of her (and possibly other people) into a more favorable light.
- Bullet Multiplication: Elisa's magical seal allows her to multiply the bullets of her weapon many times once they pass through them.
- Weapon Enforcement: Elisa is able to enhance her own weapon, which was gifted to her by Pernelle, into a powerful canon with her attack Der Drache Lindwurm.
Doppel:
- Flight: Due to its form as a dragon, Ein Roter Drache is capable of flight.
Minou
- Soul Gem Corruption: Minou's unique magic allows her to transform magical girls that have contracted with Isabeau into witches with her branding irons.
- Summoning: Minou can summon branding irons to turn Isabeau's magical girls into witches.
- Connection to Isabeau: Due to her wish, Minou's the only one able to understand Isabeau.
- Weapon Transfiguration: Minou can turn her cat o' nine tails whip into a Great Sword.
- Teleportation: Minou can summon portals to teleport herself or others through. This is most likely an ability obtained through the contracts of one of the servants of Isabeau.
- Changing History: Minou was able to change history through some of the wishes from Isabeau's servants. Her attempts, as well as the resulting paradoxes were able to be thwarted.

- Weapon Arsenal: Each of Capricieux's nine tails holds a torture weapon.
Corbeau
- Redirection: Corbeau can redirect her used magic onto other magical girls within a 50-meter radius, having the other girls receive the impurities instead of her.
- Disease Creation: Corbeau can call a plague down on multiple enemies in a wide radius, killing them very slowly and painfully. An ability obtained through the contracts of one of the servants of Isabeau.
Doppel:
- Flight: Due to its wings, Corbeau's Doppel is able to fly.
- Familiars: Plaisir's familiars, created from its feathers, resemble black rats which run around and spread disease.
Lapin
- Witch Transformation Reversal: Due to the nature of her wish, as well as the stacked wishes from Isabeau's servants, Lapin has the ability to transform back into a magical girl once her witch form is defeated. Later on, this also ensured her continued survival even if the entire body was destroyed.
- Age Inhibition: Lapin has the uncontrolled ability to stop her own aging.
- Light Projection: With her floating rabbit masks, Lapin is capable of creating light attacks. She can also use them to make light projections in the shape of weapons to fight, mainly sickles. If her masks are destroyed, her light projection weapons disappear.
- Transformation Reversal: When her floating masks flash, magical girls caught in their vision have their transformation briefly undone. Originally, this was only something she could do through the eyes in her witch form.
- Soul Gem Invincibility Spell: The moment her soul gem is about to be broken, Lapin teleports elsewhere. This is likely due to a contract from one of Isabeau's servants, or a spell cast by Minou.
- Flight: Her witch form, as well as her Doppel, are capable of levitating.
- Weapon Manipulation: Enfant Terrible attacks by taking control of every weapon close to her. There doesn't seem to be a limit to how many weapons she can take control of, but certain enchanted weapons are excluded from its control.
- Transformation Reversal: When the eyes on her cape, or the witch's own eyes, flash, magical girls caught in their vision will have their transformation undone.
- Witch Manifestation: Unlike other girls, her Doppel results in her complete witch form being manifested.
Isabeau
- "Incubator"/Magical Girl Creation: Isabeau has the power to create magical girls, as well as all of Kyubey's other abilities.
- Information Database: While not being able to interpret, or even fully apply it, Isabeau does have access to all of Kyubey's knowledge.
- Invulnerability: Isabeau is unable to be harmed by any magical girl due to Minou's wish. Tart's final form (in combination with Riz) is able to harm her because she is both an irregular, and right at the edge of becoming a witch, so she's no longer a magical girl. Similarly, Sakurako is able to barely scratch her in End of a Legend, the Limits of Light because she is a Rumor, not a Magical Girl.
- Fire Manipulation: Isabeau, thanks to the contract of one of her servants, got the ability to create fire and kill people with spontaneous combustion.
- Eternal Youth: Isabeau stopped aging once she reached the age of 19, still looking like a young woman despite being in her 60's. It's unclear whether this is due to her wish, or just a common ability that magical girls can learn if they survive long enough.
- Flight: Her Doppel is able to float freely through the air, while its complete witch form achieves this through its giant butterfly wings.
- Special Labyrinth: Isabeau's barrier is big enough to encompass all of France, as well as making it possible for everyone inside it to be able to see witches.
Pernelle
- Alchemy: Pernelle has the main ability to create unique weapons through her alchemy magic, like Tart's sword (originally made for the first King of France, Clovis I) and Elisa's Firearm. Pernelle's alchemy weapons are immune to witches' magic and seem to be stronger than conventional magical girl weapons.
- Barriers: Pernelle can erect barriers to protect herself or others. The barriers can float and serve as platforms for her to climb high into the air.
- Teleportation: Pernelle can teleport to a specific location. She can also create multiple portals from different places to bring multiple people from one location to another one, during which they appear to fade away from their current location.
- Transfiguration: Pernelle can turn her Caduceus into actual giant snakes to fight for her.
- Adjustment (unconfirmed): Through her Void type, as well as her abilities, such as upgrading Tart's armor, it can be inferred that Pernelle may possess Adjuster capabilities.
- Eternal Youth: Pernelle is the oldest magical girl known so far, as she is more ancient than her real-life counterpart (revealed in Magia Record), being alive during the Mongol invasion, the Black Death Plague in Europe (caused by the witch of magical girl she knew) as well as meeting Clovis I and his sister Audofleda (who was also a magical girl).

- Temporal Influence: Some of the witches in Tart Magica show imagery of future objects in their labyrinths, implying witches having a degree of being able to reach into, or simply guess future trends.
Magia Record (major characters)
Iroha Tamaki
- Reversal: Iroha can reverse the harm done to anyone, even though overuse of this ability causes erasure of her own self. Initially, this ability is assumed to be a mere healing ability.
- Light Arrows: Iroha can produce light arrows of magic to attack.
- Weapon Summoning: Iroha's been shown to be able to summon a small knife.
- Collection: After her death, Ui was able to gift her unique magic to Iroha, allowing her to also be the only person protected from becoming a witch after the Doppel System fell apart. She used this power to also collect magical energy from the girls of Kamihama. (Anime)
- Mirrors: After being fused with Mikoto and Winchester, Iroha got the power to connect time and space through mirrors. Later on, Mikoto left Iroha's body, however she left behind her Mirrors powers to Iroha.
Doppel:
- Flight: With its wings, Iroha's Doppel is able to fly.
- Cloth Manipulation: Giovanna is able to manipulate her cloth and bandages to cover things up, attack and suspend others in midair.
- Inner Labyrinth: In the anime, when Iroha contracts Doppel Syndrome, her nature of Silence allows her to pull people into her dream world, where Iroha can live in denial with the created fake doubles of her friends, as well as easy-to-kill "witches". Though this state bears some similarities to Homura's inner labyrinth in Rebellion, it is unknown whether they are actually related.
- Purification: Upon defeat, it releases many fake grief seeds containing crystallized impurities, similar to Nightmares.
Infinite Iroha:
- Flight: As Infinite Iroha, she gains wings with which she can fly. She's also able to enlarge them so that others can ride on them while she flies.
- Collection: See above. In the game timeline, she gained access to this power when she fused with Ui and Lil' Kyubey to become Infinite Iroha.
- Doppel System: After fusing with the Kimochi, Eve's Core, Ui and Lil' Kyubey, Iroha became the custodian of the Doppel System, being able to access its metaphysical space while purifying of magical girls from the present and archiving records of the ones from the past.
- Concept: After Iroha overused her reversal power, her very existence was erased from reality, however as she was part of the Doppel System, her concept remained there as well as in the memories of magical girls. After being brought back, and subsequently returning to the metaphysical space of the Doppel System, everyone was able to remember her again.
- Emissary: Iroha was able to take over a girl's body to help Kuroe.
Yachiyo Nanami
- Receive Hope: Yachiyo can receive hope and memories of those who have already passed on. It is speculated that this ability comes from her own wish to survive, and she initially thinks that that wish causes everyone around her to die eventually.
- Weapon Summoning: Yachiyo can summon and fight with many halberds that she launches at her enemies.
- Stardust: In her Tanabata form, Yachiyo attacks with stardust light projectiles.
- Frost Manipulation: In her Fairy Tale form, Yachiyo attacks by using snow and ice, either as snowflake projectiles, or Kyubey snowmen.
Doppel:
- Illusions: The light from Campanella's lantern is said to bring forth a myriad of illusions.
- Water Generation: Her Doppel's attacks include summoning a great quantity of water, causing a flood.
- Flight: Campanella's Tanabata form flies through the heavens by creating a railway made of light underneath its wheels.
- Weather Manipulation: Her Historia Doppel can manipulate the weather through storms and eruptions to such a degree that the earth itself would become a newly-born star.
Historia Yachiyo:
- Emissary: During her quest to contact every magical girl in history to gain their hope, Yachiyo was able to go back and talk to each of them individually and comfort them with the promise of the future, overcoming time and the language barrier.
- Flight: In her Historia form, Yachiyo gains 7 golden wings with which she is able to fly.
Tsuruno Yui
- Luck/Probability Manipulation: Tsuruno's Good Luck ability, despite its name, is a double-edged sword. While it doesn't outright give her a good life, it gives her enough to survive (i.e her restaurant staying just barely afloat, her relatively smooth release from Chelation Land, etc.). It usually works whenever Tsuruno tries to protect her allies.
- Flame Generation: With her tessen, Tsuruno is capable of creating flames to fight.
Doppel:
- Flight: While it's active, Tsuruno's Doppel is capable of flying.
- Wealth Generation: Yu Hong is said to have the ability to create a limitless stream of wealth.
Rumor of the Chelation Land Ferris Wheel:
- Electric Manipulation: Tsuruno is able to attack by generating turquoise lightning.
Sana Futaba
- Imperception: Due to Sana's wish to disappear, she can remain under the radar of most people.
- Weapon Summon: Sana is capable of summoning metallic chains and other various torture weapons made out of metal, mainly torture pendulums.
Doppel:
- Blood Manipulation: Theresia uses its own blood as a weapon, launching deadly attacks against enemies.
- Invisibility: The main body of Theresia is an invisible entity, which is constantly tortured but remains hidden from view.
- Digital Dream World: The rumor was created by fusing Ai and Sana's magic as the Rumor of the Radio Wave Girl. It exists in a digital realm and can manifest into the physical world when it detects a strong desire to meet someone. It is unable to identify its true target, so it kidnaps random people it encounters, pulling them into its digital world. It broadcasts its longing and loneliness to its captive, creating unsettling dreams filled with turmoil.
- Charm: Mr. Purrs-A-Lot easily gains allies by being playful and making them relax and feel nostalgic.
- Mind Reading: The rumor is able to make comments that reveal the hidden insecurities of others, targeting their emotional vulnerabilities.
- Charm: Piggles creates a friendly, festive atmosphere, making those around him feel carefree, as well as inspiring intense cravings of food within them.
- Charm: Moortimer radiates warmth and calmness, especially attracting young children and those needing comfort. He, however, does tend to mirror the negative actions of others when under stress.
Felicia Mitsuki
- Memory Erasure: Felicia can erase memories of others.
- Weapon Size Manipulation: Felicia can make her war hammer bigger to hit more of her enemies.
- Light Generation: Felicia's capable of generating purple light from within her hammer when she attacks. This seems to be the physical representation of her memory erasure magic
Doppel:
- Mud/Concrete Generation: Beatrice can paint over inconvenient things with its tears.
- Sleep Inducement: Her Doppel's emergence causes Felicia to immediately fall asleep.
Lil' Kyubey
- Teleportation: Lil' Kyubey's only remaining power is teleportation, though it's not often seen outside of Kamihama. The method of teleportation has varied, sometimes fading in from shadows, liquifying into water, or even through a flash of energy.
- Container: His body was a viable container for Ui's soul, through this transplant caused all traces of her to be wiped from reality until it brought them back to Iroha. In the anime, Nemu's also able to trap Iroha's body inside of him.
- Conduit: Lil' Kyubey's able to replace Ui as the core of Embryo Eve and the Doppel Barrier, as well as a conduit for Iroha, Ui and the Kimochi stones to gain access to it.
Momoko Togame
- Reinforcement: Momoko's unique ability called "Encouragement" is used to help other magical girls by boosting their capabilities.
- Energy Projection: Momoko can surround herself with energy she produces with her technique Edge of the Universe to impact her enemies. In her Sister form, she applies it by creating energy beams or crucifix projections.
- Mermaid Form: Due to a certain adjustment from Mitama, the two of them were able to take the form of mermaids.
- Underwater Adaptation: In this form, the two were able to freely swim, speak and breathe underwater.
Doppel:
- Flight: Elfriede's able to levitate.
Rena Minami
- Shapeshifting: With her "Transformation" magic, Rena has the ability to turn into anyone she wants. This also seems to extend to appearance and voice, even though it can be detected by those who know the imitated person especially well (i.e her imitation of Momoko was remarked to be imperfect because she can't replicate the way Momoko walks).
- Magic Mimicry: Rena's transformation magic also gives Rena the power of the magical girl who Rena has turned into, including their weapon.
- Personal Magic Mimicry: If Rena knows the person she transforms into well, she is able to also mimic their personal magic, such as when she copied Kaede's personal magic.
- Tridents & Mirrors Summoning: Rena can create many tridents and mirrors to fight, mainly using the mirrors to launch her tridents.
- Water Manipulation: Rena can turn her magic attacks into water, mainly taking the form of waves.
- Size Manipulation: In her Swimsuit form with Kaede, Rena is able to increase the size of her beach ball.
Doppel:
- Ideal Copy: Cendrillon's able to transform Rena into an "ideal copy" of another person, rather than an accurate copy of them.
Kaede Akino
- Restraint: Kaede's unique magic, called "Temporal Deletion", gives her the capability of restraining her enemies from moving temporarily.
- Plant Generation: Kaede's unique magic takes the form of plants, mainly vines.
- Flight: In her Swimsuit form with Rena, Kaede is able to use her parasol to fly.

Ui Tamaki
- Collection: Ui's unique magic allows her to recollect the despair energy within the soul gems of other magical girls. Unlike Embryo Eve, Ui can absorb the impurities from soul gems even before they're about to turn into witches. She's also shown to be able to collect magic energy from other magical girls.
- Kites: Ui can generate and control paper kites, using them like drones to attack enemies, as well as using them to hover or fly. These swallow-shaped kites are actually manifestations of her magic circle.
- Doppel System: Due to her connection to Eve's Core and the Kimochi, Ui was able to fuse with Iroha and become the core of the Doppel System.
Doppel:
- Collection: Ui's Doppel continuously absorbs the impurities from the soul gems around her.
- Gem Creation: Shitori Egumo absorbs the pain of loved ones, transforming their suffering into jewels that enhance its power.
- Collection: Similarly to Ui, Embryo Eve's body continuously absorbs impurities from the soul gems around her.
- Gem Creation: Shitori Egumo transforms the impurities into jewels that stabilize her form, and was even able to create new creatures through it.

Touka Satomi
- Conversion: Touka's unique magic gives her the power to convert any type of energy into her own magic energy or other types of energy, giving her the capability to fight without corrupting her soul gem.
- Flame Manipulation: Touka can use flames (kinetic energy or solar energy) to launch dangerous attacks.
- Float: Thanks to her kinetic energy, Touka can use it alongside her parasol to float above her enemies.
- Light Manipulation: Touka can use light energy in the form of beams to fight.
Doppel:
- Flight: With its bird form, Touka's Doppel is capable of flight.
- "What If": At the cost of shortening Touka's lifespan, Pennen Nolde can use matches to grant a "What if" wish when lit. By lighting the matches, the Doppel grants wishes that reshape reality itself.
Rumor Queen:
- Doppel System: Touka and Nemu were able to avoid the Will of the Universe and become Uwasa in order to help maintain and become part of the Doppel System. In this form, Touka aids with the conversion of energy as well as calculations within the Doppel Barrier.
Nemu Hiiragi
- Materialization: Nemu's unique magic gives her the power to create magical physical beings from her story book called (Rumors). She can "program" the Rumors' behavior to her will and make them act and manifest in barriers like witches, which she can also use to act as traps (like with Hotel Fendt Hope). Giving permanent bodies to her creations drains her life energy away.
- Page Manipulation: Nemu can turn the pages of her book into projectiles to attack her enemies from a distance.
- Flight: Nemu has the ability to fly even at higher altitudes than Touka with her kinetic energy.
Doppel:
- Flight: Namu's Doppel is able to levitate.
- Story Materialization: Pennen Nenemu devours stories and materializes them into reality.
Rumor Queen:
- Doppel System: Touka and Nemu were able to avoid the Will of the Universe and become Uwasa in order to help maintain and become part of the Doppel System. In this form, Nemu aids in recording the magical girls of the past, as well as keeping Iroha's existence from being scattered by creating the Soul Vessel to gather her concept across time.
- Historia Guides: Nemu's also able to create uwasa of her persona as a book to aid the girls going back in time to gather Iroha's concept. The rumor books created also permitted the beholders to surpass the language barrier, charm anyone they encountered as to make them not question their clothing and appearance, as well as make the beholder more approachable and less prone to attracting conflict.
Mifuyu Azusa
- Hallucinations: Mifuyu has the ability to create life-like hallucinations, which she uses to create fake copies of herself (like Kyoko) and even horrific hallucinations of a desert or black space to disorient her opponents.
- Hypnosis: Mifuyu's hallucination magic also can manifest as hypnosis, thus giving her the ability to put others to sleep, or put beliefs into others' minds or her own. She's even able to enter others' minds, as well as trick them into using more magic than they were previously able to by making them forget their limits, though this has serious consequences, such as endangering their soul gems.
- Teleportation: Mifuyu is capable of creating crystalline moon orbs to teleport herself and her allies from one place to another. This could possibly be part of her hallucination magic. (Anime)
- Containers: Mifuyu's able to use the crystal moon projection as a shield around herself, as well as create many of them to trap many enemies at once and levitate them. (Anime)
- Fire Manipulation: In her Fairy Tale form, Mifuyu is able to manipulate fire.
Doppel:
- Minion Summoning: Hevelius can summon flying, bird-shaped minions known as "Sugar Geese" that attack on command.
- Addiction: Any target touched by the Sugar Geese experiences a maddening sweetness, making them susceptible to manipulation and lies.
Alina Gray
- Magical Realm (Witch Barrier) Generation: Alina's unique magic allows her to create her own witch barriers and labyrinths without being a witch.
- Hammer Space: Alina is able to store both people, witches and items inside labyrinth cubes, and then deploy them later.
- Despair Factor: By adding a magical girl's magic to one of her cubes, and then filling it with curses, Alina's able to use them to make a portrait of the girl's witch. However if the Doppel System is working correctly, this phenomenon is unable to occur.
- Barrier Generation: Derived from her unique power, Alina can also create barriers as force fields. These force fields are so strong that they can block the magical effects of other magical girls and even cut Incubators' bodies out from their hive-mind network if they step inside her barriers.
- Light Manipulation: Alina's barriers and cubes are made out of light. She uses them to fight and attack.
- Electric Manipulation: Alina is capable of creating lightning attacks with her cubes.
- Light Generation: In her Halloween, Ghost Servant form, Alina attacks by firing a green laser from her mask.
- Size Increase: With Halloween, Pumpkin King Karin's help, Alina's able to become several times bigger to attack.
Doppel:
- Pathogenic Paint Generation: Old Dorothy attacks by projecting hardened paint, called Pathogen Tempera, that solidifies into massive constructs to strike enemies.
- Madness Inducement: Her paint of her Doppel is capable of making whoever comes in contact with it go mad, though Alina has to consciously inflict this upon them as the paint can also be used to attack.
- Flight: Unlike Embryo Eve, Alina's new form is able to use the wings on her body to fly for extended periods of time, which Eve wasn't able to do.
- Doppel Pandemic: Neo Dorothy instantly spreads her Doppel of Fever to thousands, infecting them with its magic and transforming them into artificial magical girls independent of age or gender. As she's fused with the incomplete Embryo Eve, they will contract Doppel Syndrome, basically becoming witches in lack of grief seeds.
Rumor of the Fur God:
- Flight: In her Holy form, Alina is able to achieve flight.
- Emotion Inducement and Life Drain: Holy Alina is able to warm people's hearts in exchange for shortening their lifespan.
- Death Mask: On her own accord, Holy Alina creates death masks of her victims to float around her.
- Empowerment: The Rumor makes Alina's own abilities more powerful, allowing her to accomplish more through her barriers, as well as attack with star constructs instead of cubes.
Karin Misono
- Theft Imperception: Karin can steal objects from others without them realizing.
- Shadow Manipulation: According to Karin, she uses her magic through the shadows to steal things, moving one object from her objective shadow to her own.
- Flight: Karin's able to fly by using her scythe as a witch's broom.
- Object Transfiguration/Multiplication: Karin learned a technique called Candy Death Squall, which allowed her to damage her enemies with infused object magic that turns into the shape of candies that rains down on her opponents.
- Halloween Orders: As the Pumpkin King, Karin gains the power to give commands to others. Those affected don't necessarily have to follow through, but quantities of Halloween candy will fall down on them when they disobey, only disappearing when they listen to the orders, or when Karin herself stops them. This power also seems to extend to forcing others to follow through, as Karin was able to transform Alina into her Ghost Servant form against her will, as well as force her to stop attacking.
Doppel:
- Familiars: McDougal attacks by summoning its flaming wheel familiars, which are similar to Kasha yōkai.
- Flame Manipulation: Karin's Doppel attacks by utilizing the flames created by its familiars.
Kanagi Izumi
- Mind Reading: Kanagi has the unique ability to read people's minds and true subconscious intentions.
- Electric Manipulation: Kanagi is capable of creating lightning attacks to fight from her horse whip.
- High Speed: Kanagi is capable of moving faster than average magical girls as shown in the anime.
- Blood Manipulation: In her Vampire form, Kanagi attacks by using blood to attack, applying it as either projectiles taking the form of spider webs, or by draining it from her enemies.
Doppel:
- Emotion Dismantlement: Its Vampire form dissects the feelings of those lured in by Halloween merriment, breaking down their thoughts on death and feeding them to the master.
Mitama Yakumo
- Tampering Magic/Curses: Mitama's unique magic allows her to tamper with other magical girls, the same way that witches do with her curses. This makes Mitama extremely lethal towards other magical girls, as she can infuse their soul gems with curses if she wants to. This magic however doesn't affect witches and thus Mitama can't fight them. It seems this is because her magic is similar to witches' curses.
- Adjustment: Mitama can "adjust" magical girls by touching their soul gems. This can be used to create permanent changes, such as making them stronger, or altering aspects about them, from their appearance, powers, and to some extent, their inner self. Mitama has also been shown to use adjustment to stabilize Doppels and their side-effects, as well as break spells, such as removing Hanna's influence over Kanagi's memory.
- Magic Infusion: Mitama can transfer part of her innate magic from her gloves to a silk cloth, which helps her to actually fight familiars and witches at some degree (mostly self-defense).
- Containment Jar Summon: Mitama can summon gigantic crystal containment jars with her silk cloth, which can be used to confine things such as Doppels. (Anime)
- Mermaid Form: Due to a certain adjustment of herself and Momoko, the two were able to take the form of mermaids.
- Underwater Adaptation: In this form, the two were able to freely swim, speak and breathe underwater.
Doppel:
- Decay Inducement: Totentanz can rot away anything covered by its flower petals, reducing both physical objects and magic to nothingness.
- Life Absorption: Mitama's Doppel, in its Eternal Darkness form, wields a scythe capable of absorbing the lives of those entranced by its light.
Tsukuyo Amane & Tsukasa Amane
- Sound Wave Manipulation: Tsukuyo and Tsukasa have the ability to generate great sound waves with their flutes. Their powers can also meddle with other wavelengths of sound, mainly the one used by magical girls in their telepathy. By working together, both twins can amplify the radius of the telepathy range. At maximum effect, their sound waves can affect the minds of humans when used alongside other magical girls' magic.
- Light/Shadow Generation: Tsukuyo's sound magic can turn into a light attack (Cherry Blizzard) in the shape of a blizzard of cherry tree petals while Tsukasa's sound magic can turn into a shadow attack (Cherry Ballad) in the shape of roots of a cherry tree.
Doppel:
- Flight: Dum and Dee are both able to levitate, whether they're separated or together.
- Plant Manipulation: Dum attacks by shooting projectiles of fauna onto its enemies.
- Frost Generation: Dee attacks by generating frost and creating ice spheres around its enemies.
Kagome Satori
- Information Collection: Kagome has the power to efficiently collect information as well as store and spread it. She is able to use this power to gain intel from unlikely sources, such as by sending her psyche within the closed Magia Record to interview the record of Mikoto Sena herself. She can also store the information in things such as a leaf that immediately grants others the knowledge it holds within.
- Messengers (Life Creation): She is able to make Aru-chan come to life and clone itself to attack as well as spread messages. In her Demon Parade form, they're even able to take the forms of different Yōkai.
- Plant Generation: Aru-chan's attacks leave trails of plants around him.
- Spirit Communion: In her Demon Parade form, Kagome is able to conjure green spirit flames to attack, as well as either make herself temporarily invisible or teleport short distances.
Doppel:
- Mesmerism: Sukhavati Smiriti mesmerizes those who gaze upon its kaleidoscopic flower, stopping their thoughts and luring them into a hypnotic trance.
- Euphoria: The Doppel’s pollen induces a false sense of happiness in those who inhale it.
- Energy Absorption: It absorbs energy from the ground through its roots, expanding to cover the sky.
Rumor of the Wind Evangelist:
- Charm: The Rumor makes Kagome seem more likable and approachable to others, letting her gain their trust more easily and making them less prone to violence towards her.
- Telepathic Espionage: The Wind Evangelist allowed Kagome to listen in on other magical girls' telepathic conversations, as well as allowing her to use telepathy herself prior to becoming a magical girl herself.
- Magical Records: By obtaining a drop of a magical girl's magic, the pages on her book fill themselves with that girl's inner thoughts and desires. This also increased her own karmic potential for when she became a magical girl.
Yuna Kureha
- Target Redirection/Pain Infliction: Yuna's main power allows to link her opponents and a physical object, which allows her to redirect the damage done to those she redirects.
- Unique Magic Redirection/Reversion: Yuna's power can also work to redirect or reverse another magical girl's unique magic to themselves, like she did with Felicia and her oblivion magic, making her remember her true wish.
- Electric Generation: Yuna is capable of creating electricity to attack her opponents.
- Communion with Fallen Comrades: Yuna receives the will of dead comrades by hearing their voices. Initially, they weren't hostile, but as more Futatsugi magical girls died in anguish, the kind voices got drowned out and changed her appearance, making her stronger.
- Flame Resistance: To fight off Juri, thanks to this boost in power, Yuna seems to have gained somewhat of a resistance to flame attacks.
- Blood Manipulation: In their Halloween form, Yuna and Juri attack by creating spheres of blood together. Juri uses her vacuum to absorb the blood of her enemies and Yuna can even create a cage with it.
Doppel:
- Vomit: Absorbing more energy than she needs causes Tiracchana to vomit as a form of attack.
Hikaru Kirari
- Devotion: Hikaru's unique magic, called Devotion, allows her to hyper focus on any task, allowing her to do almost anything she proposes to do. This seems to imply that Hikaru was able to learn her other powers due to this.
- Imperception/Shadow Hiding: Highly being a part of her Devotion magic, Hikaru can hide herself from others' perception (due to Yuna's petition). Although most of the time she can't be perceived, unlike Sana's unique magic, some magical girls like Iroha are capable of finding her.
- Summon Shadow Army: Hikaru can summon little shadow soldiers, called Hikaru's Army, to fight on her will. This also seems to be an extension of her Devotion magic.
Doppel:
- Strength: Despite Merkava's reluctance to move, Hikaru herself seems to become strong enough to toss her Doppel's entire body high in the air.
Ao Kasane
- Puppetry/Body Control: Ao's unique ability is the power to control and manipulate others people's bodies. This power is described by her as her targets becoming "pieces" or "game characters", while she is "the player".
- Body Connection: Ao's unique ability also links her to her targets, making her capable of perceiving the same things her targets do. She used this to spy on other people, like when she connected her body to an old lady near Iroha and her friends to eavesdrop on them.
- Energy/Aura Projection: Ao can launch blue energy attacks from her battle axe, as well as surround herself in an energy aura (that increases her strength going from white to yellow and finally red) to hit with more power.
Doppel:
- Illusions: When Halifax emerges, it creates the illusion of cutting off Ao's head.
- Petal Manipulation: Halifax attacks by creating a giant humanoid body made up of yellow petals and bandages, which then proceeds to stomp on its enemies.
Juri Oba
- Endurance/Energy Accumulation: Juri's unique ability makes her more resistant to both physical and magical attacks. She also accumulates negative energy each time she gets mad.
- Witch Delay: Due to her Endurance ability, Juri is capable of slightly deleting the corruption of her soul gem, as her body is the main object that accumulates her negative emotions.
- Flame Generation: Juri's unique magic has the side effect of taking the form of dangerous flames within her, which she uses to attack from her flamethrower. She can also release these flames within her without her flamethrower, although she seems to not be capable of control in these situations, as this only happens when she can't control her emotions, like when their team was betrayed by Ao.
- Blood Manipulation: In their Halloween form, Yuna and Juri attack by creating spheres of blood together. Juri uses her vacuum to absorb the blood of her enemies and Yuna can even create a cage with it.
Doppel:
- Flight: Lakehurst's form of an airship allows it to fly.
- Explosion: When the Doppel’s frustration spikes, it triggers a catastrophic explosion that can devastate its surroundings.
Sakuya Suzuka
- Acceleration/Super Speed: Sakuya's unique magic allows her to move at high speeds, being so fast that she gives the impression of being in two places at the same time (in a single space) according to both Yuna and Tsuruno.
Ranka Chizu
- Strategy Detection: Ranka's unique magic, called "Strategy Detection" allows her to know and detect if someone is using a strategy against her or her allies. This magic also helps her find her opponents' strategy weak points in her favor.
- Remote Control: With her game remote, Ranka can control a floating bot in the shape of a claw to attack her opponents.
- Flame Generation: Ranka can wrap her claw bot and herself with flames, as well as fire flame beams from her bot. This is seen in her attack Ranchanical Beam.
Shizuka Tokime
- Armistice/Unique Magic Immunity: Shizuka's main ability is called Armistice, which makes her immune to other magical girls' unique magics. She has to activate this power in order to work.
- Flame/Light Generation: With her shichishitō, Shizuka is capable of creating both light and flames to fight her opponents.
- Paralysis: Shizuka, thanks to her mother's training, got the capacity to paralyze others with her sight. Although, this power only works if Shizuka herself doesn't move.
Doppel:
- Mesmerism: Tara is able to fascinate its victims through its attacks, making it so that they forget the pain and become its captives before they even know it.
- Dream Inducement: In her First Sunrise form, Shizuka receives good dreams from her Doppel when sleeping in its kotatsu.
Chiharu Hiroe
- Sense Malice: Chiharu's main ability allows her to "smell" malice and evil within the people. The stronger the smell is, the more malice there is. Although, this can incapacitate Chiharu.
- Light Generation: Chiharu is capable of creating green lights to attack, and even her light magic can take the form of Japanese lanterns.
- Transfiguration: Chiharu can turn the Japanese lanterns she creates from her light magic into copies of her jitte to attack.
Doppel:
- Revealing: Oaji has the ability to expose hidden enemies, as its lantern head sheds light on anything concealed and forces adversaries into view.
Sunao Toki
- Purification Light: Sunao's magic is called "Purification Light", which allows her to support her allies by making their magic stronger or healing their wounds.
- Healing: Derived from her unique power, Sunao can use her Purification Light to heal others.
- Enhancement: Derived from her unique power, Sunao can use her Purification Light to enhance the physical capability of others.
- Light/Electric Generation: Sunao's power is shown as light attacks, as she can use light or rainbow beams to attack, and she is also capable of creating electricity within her crystal orb.
Doppel:
- Stealth: Marita moves silently and attacks with deadly precision.
Ryoko Natsu
- Sermon/Preaching Room (Mental Pocket Dimension): Ryoko's unique ability, called "Preaching Room", allows her to trap both her opponents and allies within a pocket dimension, which is used as a space to "Sermon" her objective, helping her allies to convince their objectives to change of mind by their own.
- Flame Generation: Ryoko can make flames from her Keisaku to fight.
Chika Aoba
- Animal Communication: Chika's unique ability gives her the power to understand and talk to any animal.
- Wind/Plant Generation: Chika can create a hurricane of plants from an attack known as Natural Regression.
Himena Aika
- Synthesis: Himena's unique power is called Synthesis, which mainly allows her to "fuse", within her, the magical abilities of other magical girls she touches. This has a limit time of an hour and this power englobes a big spectrum of other powers such as:
- Temporal absorption of unique abilities: Himena can temporarily steal the unique abilities of other magical girls and use them as if it were hers. It is shown she can hold at least six powers at the same time, though she notes that doing so is straining.
- Temporal transfusion of unique abilities: Himena can transfer the powers she steals (or created by fusion) to other magical girls she touches back. She can also transfer this to physical objects she can use to her advantage.
- Creation of new unique abilities: Himena is capable of creating new unique abilities and powers by the fusion of two magical abilities of other magical girls.
- Water Generation: Himena is capable of creating water, using it as a main source of attack. She also seems to be capable of creating water and even geysers from under the ground.
- Cloth manipulation: Himena can also use her Hagoromo to attack, being capable of making it larger and using it as if it were another set of huge arms.
- Float: Himena is capable of slightly floating to attack with her water magic or her Hagoromo.
Doppel:
- Shapeshifting: Scylla’s body is able to change form based on Himena's emotions. Currently, it takes the shape of a lovelorn wolf, a manifestation of her desires.
- Regeneration: As long as the sphere and ring connected to the Doppel remain intact, Scylla will regenerate indefinitely.
Shigure Miyabi
- Threat Detection: Shigure's main ability gives her the capacity to detect threats, mainly enemies or disasters, both for her allies or herself.
- Light Generation: Shigure is capable of creating small or big orbs of green light to attack, using them as projectiles from her slingshot.
- Super Speed: Like Sakuya, Shigure is also capable of moving as high speeds, as seen in her attack Full Burst Hate You.
Doppel:
- Energy Beam: Once enough stress is applied, Aztekium unleashes a devastating railgun attack, obliterating obstacles with terrifying accuracy.
Hagumu Azumi
- Witch Slayer: Hagumu's main ability gives her the power to easily kill most familiars and witches from a single hit with her Great Sword.
- Light/Flame Generation: Hagumu's magic seems to take the form of red lights that turn into flames in her Great Sword to attack. These fire attacks seem to easily consume or ignite the witches and familiars she fights.
Doppel:
- Magical Girl Slayer: Abigail's inner lining boasts lethal power against other Magical Girls.
San Kagura
- Absolute Defense: San's main ability is to turn her body invulnerable, being even stronger and resistant to physical attacks, but it does leave her vulnerable to things such as a chemical concoction which induces sleep.
- Body Transfiguration: San is capable of turning her arms into Gatling Guns like the one she carries in her back to fight.
Doppel:
- Perception: 9Daime Nue detects even the smallest changes in its environment. It’s acutely aware of any shifts, whether it’s the sound of a pin dropping or the movement of a pebble.
Miyuri Yukari
- Sleepwalking Fight/Accelerated Experience of Time: Miyuri's unique ability, called Accelerated Experience of Time, makes her fall asleep and fight unconsciously to her best capabilities. Her power activates each time she has a panic attack and she follows San's orders due to her feelings for San, and her voice calming Miyuri down when she's awake.
- Super Speed: According to San and other magical girl feathers, Miyuri can move at really high speeds while she uses her power.
- Electricity Generation: Miyuri's power and super speed manifest as blue electricity that emanates from within her body, and which she uses to attack.
- Super Strength: While asleep, Miyuri seems to get abnormally stronger, being capable of hurting and killing others with her bare bands and her roller-coasters, like when she snaped off Chiharu's arm or killed a witch in her first fight with her own force.
Doppel:
- Strength: Oxford is incredibly strong, to the point of being able to jump very high into the atmosphere.
Mitsune Miwa
- Cognitive Tampering: Mitsune's magic allows her to alter the behavior of those around her as she wishes. This can even be done unconsciously, affecting those who are directly attacked by her taser gun more strongly.
- Tampering of Perception/Memories: Similar to Meiyui's Falsification magic and Felicia's Oblivion magic, Mitsune's Cognitive Tampering can be used by her to make her objectives think that they see or hear things that aren't real, like when Mitsune used it to make Shizuka believe that she killed Himena, or to modify the memories of others, like she did with the rest of her Neo-Magius friends or with herself.
- Electricity Generation: Mitsune's magical attacks come from her taser gun, which is used to directly use her magic. This electricity magic takes the form of wires and computer glitches with her attack Hacking Riot!.
Doppel:
- Blood Manipulation: Claudia attacks by extending its curtain rails into its enemies and creating an explosion of blood.
Jun Kazari
- Hardening (Object Transfiguration): According to Jun herself, her magic allows her to modify the internal structure of any object and make them "sturdier as gold", mainly using candies turned sturdier to attack.
- Object Fusion/Size Manipulation: As seen in her attack Dagashi Snack Missiles, Jun can fuse the sturdy objects she uses to increment their size into a gigantic candy.
- Object Duplication: From her own power, Jun seems to be capable of dividing/duplicating objects into smaller versions of them to attack, with the help of her Squid Skewer.
- Object Levitation: Jun is capable of making the objects she modifies to levitate with her Squid Skewer.
Doppel:
- Dreamscape: Trolley attacks by engulfing its enemies inside itself, bringing them to a scenery much like a child's view of the world.
Lavi Himuro
- Concept (Unique Magic) Reinforcement: Lavi has the unique ability of "Concept Reinforcement", which allows her to overreach the powers of other magical girls she comes in contact with and make them reach over their own limits, like when she made Asahi project the spirits of all the dead people in the bus accident or when she used Himena's Synthesis magic, who had absorbed Felicia's oblivion magic and the Amane Twins' sound wave magic, to erase the existence of magical girls from the memory of all the humans in Kamihama.
- Wind Generation: Lavi can create a tornado with her boomerang as is seen in her attack known as Pantha Rhei.
- Plant Generation: Lavi can create plant roots with her boomerang as is seen in her attack known as Pantha Rhei.
- Enhanced Kimochi Form: During her fight with Iroha, Ui, Yuna, Shizuka and Himena in episode 11, Lavi was shown to have become incredibly stronger due to the Kimochi Stones. This also allowed her to be immune to Shizuka's eyesight paralysis as well as be incredibly fast.
Doppel:
- Emotion Detection: Cuauhtitlan can sense when someone is feeling sad or suffering, and it instinctively tries to help them.
- Destructive Light: It can release a light that turns anyone it touches into ashes, which then become fertilizer for the earth.

Asahi Miura

- Adjustment: Sudachi can "adjust" herself, or other magical girls by touching their Soul Gems. This can be used to create permanent changes, such as making them stronger, or altering aspects about them, from their appearance, powers, and to some extent, their inner self.
- Cloth Manipulation: Sudachi can use her cape to fight, using it as a weapon. She can turn it into some kind of drill or to defend herself.
- Teleportation: Sudachi is shown to be capable of mid-range teleportation, taking Shizuka from the Hokuyo mountains to Chuo ward.
- Sweets Manipulation: In her Valentine's Day form, Sudachi attacks by using sweets, such as cookies.
Doppel:
- Flight: Breadman's able to float and drift around freely.
Yozuru Sasame
- Emotionless Magic: Due to her wish, Yozuru has the special condition of being unable to feel emotions, despite the fact that magic is sourced from one's emotions. However, where other magical girls become weaker or powerless the more they lose their hearts, she is uniquely able to still use her magic despite that. It is possible that Yozuru still has the capability for emotions in some way, as seen when she gets angry during her attack, Rage Star Rondo.
- Excision/"Cutting Hearts": Yozuru's unique ability allows her to "remove" the emotions of her target. It seems her magic is similar to how witches remove emotions from their victims.
- Adjustment: Yozuru can "adjust" herself, or other magical girls by touching their soul gems. This can be used to create permanent changes, such as making them stronger, or altering aspects about them, from their appearance, powers, and to some extent, their inner self.
- Dark Aura Generation: As seen in her attack Rage Star Rondo, Yozuru can create a dark aura whenever she gets mad.
- Flame Generation: As seen in her attack Rage Star Rondo, Yozuru can create flames in the shape of 4 point stars to attack.
Mikoto Sena
- Suggestion: Mikoto's able to influence and command others to follow her instructions. However, this power is limited to simple commands and extends to witches and their familiars as well.
- Mind Manipulation: Mikoto's suggestion magic can be used to manipulate the mind and memories of others, as that's how Hanna used Mikoto's Suggestion Magic multiple times. It can also be used to manipulate the mind and perception of reality of others, making them believe they can't see something they usually can, like magical attacks, or even rewriting their memories and blocking their minds.
- Transplant: After transforming into a witch due to Mitama's wish, Mikoto gains a power which allows her to transfer her persona into another magical girl. This allows her to cohabitate in the body of the host, during which Mikoto appears as an apparition that only the host can see, but if the viable host's persona is itself dormant or weak, Mikoto' becomes the one controlling the body. If she has gathered enough energy, Mikoto can fully control the body of the magical girl she inhabits for a short time. Mikoto's also been shown to be able to transfer emotional or metaphysical energies like malice, as seen when she absorbed Rumor Hanna's malice, as well as abilities such as when transferring her Mirrors powers to Iroha, or taking Rumor Hanna's Suggestion Magic.
Doppel:
- Flight: Winchester is able to fly while carrying Mikoto.
- Projection: Winchester attacks by projecting copies of itself as well as concentrated light beams. She's also able to project her own imagination into mirrors.
- Mirrors: The Mirror Witch has the ability to link its barrier with those of its familiars once they mature, creating a vast network of barriers through its mirrors. This allows multiple copies of the Mirror Witch to exist simultaneously across different barriers and locations, extending even into other universes and timelines. Her labyrinth is capable of connecting to different points in time (both past and future) and even other universes. This power also allows her to be able to both see and travel to different points in time and space independently of other Mirror Witches.
- Paradoxes: If too many paradoxes inhabit the same universe, the timeline itself will fall apart and be destroyed. By destroying the mirror from which they emerged, it destroys paradox-causing objects or entities to maintain stability in the timeline.
- Labyrinth: The witch and her offshoots generate extensive, layered labyrinths that grow more complex with additional intruders. The main witch herself shifts her own barrier to keep herself hidden.
- Energy Manipulation: She absorbs small amounts of magical energy from magical girls who enter her labyrinth. She's even able to transport it for other uses with her familiars as well as use mirrors and their shards to render things imperceivable as they're in the spectrum of light not visible to the naked eye.
- Mesmerism: Her labyrinth can entrance magical girls, compelling them to explore deeper despite personal risk.
- Labyrinth Expansion: They constantly build and extend their complex labyrinths, growing larger when sensing their parent witch.
- Copying: The Bellgirl familiars embrace guests in a welcoming hug to copy their vital information, which is then used to create an identical copy of the guest. Guard familiars can also do so by filming and observing guests from a great distance with enhanced clarity. The Copier familiars then create jelly-like creatures inside their bodies, which over time turn into copies of the guests. These familiars can thus turn into duplicates of magical girls, including their physical appearance, abilities, and memories. These copies can at times be so faithful that even the duplicates themselves do not realize they are not the original. Others are very rough, with a completely opposite personality.
- Contracts: The Solicitor familiars throw invitation letters at targets and on one occasion, they even made Kagome sign a contract.
Rumor of Endless Mirrors:
- Prism Light: Rumor Mikoto attacks by creating bubbles of prismatic light which she throws at her enemies.
- Familiars: The uwasa could create copies of itself, appearing as dark versions of Rumor Mikoto. These familiars could be employed for various tasks, such as attacking or searching for certain objects. They were, however, unable to speak and, like most other uwasa, drained the energy of people around them.
- Imprisonment: The familiars of the Rumor entrap anyone who pursues Mikoto and Rumor Hanna into a labyrinth resembling Endless Mirrors from which there is no escape. Iroha was only able to escape due to being gifted Mikoto's Mirrors powers to link space and time.
- Dormant Persona: The uwasa and the rumor were split by design, which enabled Mikoto's persona to have primary control of the uwasa's body even outside its labyrinth, and it wasn't until Mikoto ran out of energy that the uwasa began to awaken. Mikoto was able to use Suggestion magic to maintain control over her psyche even after the uwasa gained the upper hand, resulting in the balanced and more powerful, black and white form.
Hanna Sarasa
- Overwrite (Unique Ability Imitation): Hanna's unique ability, Overwrite, allows her to replicate the unique ability of other magical girls. She can copy just one ability at the time, and needs to "erase" her current ability to gain a new one. The known abilities overwritten by Hanna's magic were:

- Chemical Generation: Hinano can create her own chemicals, without making her surroundings explode, inside the test tubes and flasks she carries in her bag. She tosses this test tubes and flasks to fight.
- Toxic Fog Generation: Some of Hinano's chemicals can create toxic fog which Hinano uses to hide while fighting. She carries a gas mask to protect herself from the toxic fog she creates.

- Toxic Smog Generation: Cyan releases toxic smog that envelops everything in its vicinity, affecting both enemies and allies indiscriminately.
Sasara Minagi
- Provocation: Sasara's power allows her to provoke enemies into attacking her, redirecting their focus away from injured or vulnerable allies. While useful for shielding others, this ability puts Sasara at risk of becoming overwhelmed if overused.
- Summon Light Weapons: In combat, she wields a rapier with considerable skill and can summon magical light duplicates of the sword to attack enemies, though this ability to replicate weapons seems common among magical girls.

- Armor: Despite Sasara's reluctance to use it, Don Rocinante's armor is quite durable.
Nanaka Tokiwa
- Enemy Detection: Nanaka's ability allows her to identify who her true enemies are, though this power doesn't reveal the location of enemies, only their identity. It was through this ability that she learned a witch was responsible for her family's suffering and later came to view Kyubey as an enemy. Additionally, Nanaka can detect problems or individuals connected to witches or her desire for vengeance. This ability lets her sense when related issues arise and helps her identify those who might be untrustworthy or dangerous.
- Plant/Flower Generation: Nanaka's magical attacks seem to take the form of Pink Camellia petals. She can also summon camelia trees as seen in her attack White Camelia.

- Flight: Maura floats freely through the air as it carries Nanaka with her.
- Summon Kenzan: Nanaka's Doppel attacks by summoning kenzan, lead plates with brass needles meant to be used as flower holders in flower arrangements.

- Wither: Anything that Vayu's feet touch is rendered to a withered state, causing it to sink into the desert it creates beneath itself if it stands still.
- Speed: Shizuku's Doppel is noted to be quite fast and agile, as well as creating powerful wind gusts as it runs around.
Akira Shinobu
- Identifying Weak Points: Akira can instantly discern the most vulnerable parts of any target, whether it be a witch, magical girl, or other enemies.
- Energy/Lighting Projection: Akira can project energy from her fists to attack her opponents. She can also generate lightning bolts and big hands made of energy to hurt her targets.

- Frost Generation: Elsie emits frost and cold from itself, causing those who get punched by it to freeze.

- Familiars: The food Manaka's Doppel uses is aware, with the fruits and vegetables seemingly moaning and walking around.
Ria Ami
- Concealment (Hiding): Ria's unique magic is called "hiding". This allows her to make physical objects or people imperceptible to the senses of her targets. Her magic also seems to be capable of "hiding" thoughts and memories from her target's minds for a few moments.
- Energy Arrows Generation: Ria can launch pink energy arrows from her bow.
- Dream Precognition: As seen in her event I'm always the star!, Ria seems to have dreams of terrible futures she could stumble upon, being things that almost happened to her. This is suggested to be some sort of dream precognition magic she doesn't recognize. As an example, Ria dreamed of meeting Kyoko before actually meeting her a few days after this dream. This could be a magic indirectly learned by Ria herself due to her stress of not knowing what could ruin her perfect day.
Doppel:
- Light Generation: Heide Jekyll continuously emits light from its body.
- Weapon Manipulation: Ria's Doppel attacks by using halberds which look similar to the ones Yachiyo uses.
Kako Natsume
- Reproduction (Repetition/Replication): Kako's unique magic allows her to replicate the magical effects or physical attacks of other magical girls' attacks or magic, only if they happened previously in front of her. In Arc 1, Kako uses this to replicate Manaka's damage propagation into Walpurgis familiars, while in Arc 2 she uses it to make Akira use more of her fist attacks towards San Kagura.
- Light/Energy Generation: Kako can blast green light from her spear to attack her opponents.
Doppel:
- Destruction: Andreana is able to shred its enemies, as well as any magical connections they may have.
Meiyui Chun
- Falsification: Meiyui can alter the truth by distorting how reality is perceived by others. Unlike illusions, this ability doesn’t just create a false image but alters what is considered the truth about a particular object or person. This power is limited to things or individuals near her, making it especially useful in close-range situations where she can directly influence her surroundings.
- Energy Projection: Meiyui generates energy slashes to attack her targets from distance.
- Wind Generation: As seen in her attack Hawk Shadow Slash, Meiyui can create little tornados around her opponents.

Mito Aino
- Hearts Connection (Empathy Link): Mito's magic allows her to link people's hearts, letting them feel the emotions and inner states of others with great clarity. This ability even allowed her to connect to Kyubey, as she could feel that the entity had no emotions whatsoever.
- Bow Summon: Mito can summon multiple bows, controlled by her, to fire multiple arrows at the same time.
- Plant Generation: Mito is capable of creating leaves, clovers or other plan-life in her attacks. As seen in her attack Shooting Thorny Burst, she can also create gigantic thorns from her arrows as they hit her targets.
Doppel:

- Electricity Generation: Kokoro's magical attacks are made out of electricity coming from her tonfas. She can launch electricity balls from her tonfas or charge them with electricity to hit her opponents.

- Explosion: Kokoro's agitation can cause Pamela to explode, releasing a surge of powerful magic.
Masara Kagami
- Transparency/Invisibility: Masara’s magic allows her to turn herself and anyone she touches visually invisible.
- Light Generation: As seen in her attack, Invisible Assassin, Masara can create light blades in the shape of her dagger, as well as spheres of light.
- Crystal Summon: Masara can summon crystals from her light blades, which can shatter into sharp fragments, damaging enemies.

- Cancellation: Selene emits a zone of calmness around her, which makes all magical effects inside it to be canceled.
Yukika Nanase
- Passion (Strength Enhancement): Yukika grows stronger the closer she is to death. The more danger she faces, the more powerful her abilities become. This power also works passively, as she frequently finds herself in dangerous situations, which fuels her magic.
- Altered Luck: Due to her wish, Yukika often finds herself in rare and strange events that are unlikely to happen. This effect of her wish also seems to attract her to other magical girls in strange situations, like when she was drawn into Rion's wish.
- Object Replication/Multiplication and Transfiguration: As seen in her attack, Desperate Inferno, Yukika can duplicate objects like her casino coins and turn them into giant golden coins.
Doppel:
- Sound Manipulation: Poker Alice attacks by unleashing a deadly scream upon enemies.
Ayaka Mariko
- Joke (Action Alteration): Ayaka's unique magic, called "Joke", allows her to make her targets not take their actions seriously, being capable of making them act differently. Her magic cannot undo actions and their consequences, but it can be used to nullify an attack.
- Create Objects: Ayaka can attack using star-shaped toys, as well as create big presents with toys and candy.
- Seismic Generation: Ayaka is capable of creating seismic movement to immobilize her targets, as seen in her attack Fun Fun Fun.
Doppel:
- Flight: Ayaka's Doppel is able to float with its body and move around freely in the air with its wings.
- Sleep Inducement: When it emerges, Ayaka herself is put to a peaceful sleep.
- Wind Manipulation: Gela attacks by gathering up air and then unleashing powerful gusts of wind towards its enemies.
Himika Mao
- Attention Redirection: Himika's unique ability allows her to redirect the attention of her targets into another place, often by using her coin-gun.
- Flame Generation: Using her weapon, Himika can generate flames in her hand-shaped spearhead to launch it as a fireball.
Mitsuru Inami
- Unconscious Evasion (Good Luck Manipulation): Mitsuru's unique magic allows her to always be safe from the attack of her opponents, either magical girls or witches, or generally from bad situations. This seems to be a luck manipulation power, allowing Mitsune to survive dangerous situations an average magical girl couldn't have.
- Flame Generation: Mitsuru can generate flames from her baton to attack.
- Flight: Mitsuru can fly spinning her baton like a helicopter as seen in her attack Universal Pain Sphere.
Doppel:
- Mind Control: Those gazed upon by Frederica become unable to move and later will have their heads filled with events of self-doubt that they'd forgotten about.
- Energy Beams: Mitsuru's Doppel attacks by unleashing energy beams from its many eyes.
Aimi Eri
- Behavior Prediction: Aimi can predict the immediate future actions and behaviors of others, allowing her to anticipate and counteract their movements. Unlike passive abilities, she must actively read the behavior of her targets.
- Heat Generation: Aimi's magic bullets seem to be launched at great temperatures, as they leave behind trails of heat and their impacts generate flames around her targets. Her Doppel increases this power to achieve heat levels of 6,000 degrees.
Doppel:
- Flight: Columbina moves around by flying, as is commonplace with some witches and Doppels.
- Flame Manipulation: Columbina attacks its enemies by shooting a big projectile of cartoon-like flames.
Tsumugi Wakana
- Consumption (Magic Absorption): Tsumugi's magic allows her to consume magical attacks, primarily using this ability for defense. By eating her opponents' magic, she grows stronger and gains more energy, which enhances her combat capabilities. She can also use this magic to fire back at her opponents.
- Wind Generation: Tsumugi can generate winds around herself before attacking or defending herself. This could also be a form of releasing the energy she consumes. She also seems to use wind when absorbing the magic she consumes into her mouth.
- Create Objects: Tsumugi can create forks, knives and plates to attack her opponents.
Doppel:
- Hammer Space: The space inside of Obariyon's stomach is endless.
Ren Isuzu
- Nirvana (Soul Liberation): Ren's magic allows her to erase grief seeds, as well as end lives without pain. This seems to imply that she can release (or regenerate) the soul gems of magical girls turned into witches.
- Spirit Communion: She is able to sense ghosts, as well as summon will-o-wisp entities and use them offensively.
- Frost Generation: Her Christmas version with Rika has their attacks also create frost.
Doppel:
- Flight: Ren's Doppel is able to levitate through the air.

- Fog Illusions: Konoha's unique ability has the power to cast illusions in the shape of fog. She usually uses butterflies as part of her attack illusions.
- Fog Generation: As part of her unique magic, Konoha can generate fog around her surroundings.
- Water Generation: Konoha can create water blasts from her double-headed spear.
Doppel:
- Flight: Konoha's Doppel is able to float through the air.
- Flame Manipulation: Tagori uses will-o'-wisp flames to confuse and hurt its enemies.
- Rain Generation: Tagori creates rain with its emergence.
Hazuki Yusa
- Body Scan: Hazuki's unique magic allows her to identify both the strong and weak points in the body of her target.
- Lighting Generation: Hazuki can generate lightning in her twin hook swords and to fight charged with them.
- Thunder Summon: Hazuki can also summon lightning as seen in her attack Thunder Torrent.
Doppel:
- Flight: Hazuki's Doppel is able to flat around Hazuki as it holds her in place.
- Strength: Tagitsu is strong enough that any superhuman strength is powerless against it.
Ayame Mikuri
- Temporary Invincibility: Ayame's unique ability, called Temporary Invincibility, allows her to be physically invincible for a short period of time.
- Flame Generation: Ayame can generate pink flames from her great dragon sword to attack her opponents, as seen in her attack Unknown Flying Fire
- Cloth Control: As hinted in her card 4-star and 5-star artwork, it seems Ayame can control part of her clothes to give the impression that they are alive, like her bunny-shaped socks moving or her patch turning into a grotesque mouth.

- Strength: Ayame's Doppel is quite strong and able to achieve great speeds to achieve its goals.
Konomi Haruna
- Empowerment (Give Flowers): Konomi can empower others, making them stronger and heal faster by giving them flowers.
- Flower Generation: As part of her unique magic, Konomi can also generate any kind of flower she desires. She mainly uses peonies in both her attacks and empowerment magic.
Doppel:
- Decomposition: Heidesommer's body contains enzymes capable of causing any and all organisms to decompose to become nutrients for the land.
- Plant Generation: Anyone touched by the black fluff Konomi's Doppel releases will be instantly devoured by roots and transformed into a plant.
Mayu Kozue
- Attack Negation (Temporal Paralysis): Mayu has the power to temporally paralyze her opponents. According to her, the effect of her magic only lasts seconds and at best, a few minutes.
- Paint: She can generate paint from her paint brush to attack her opponents.
- Water: Mayu is shown to create water-paint bubbles to fight, as seen in her attack Watercolor Rain.
Doppel:
- Allure: Naomi possesses incredible allure, capable of ensnaring anyone the Doppel pulls in. Its victims will devote their entire lives for it, with men being more susceptible than women.
- Shadow Manipulation: Naomi attacks by creating hands made of shadows.
Sayuki Fumino
- Magic Distribution: Sayuki's unique power allows her to, in exchange of her own magic, distribute magic to her magical girl allies, making them stronger.
- Music Magic/Light Generation: Sayuki fights using her voice and her microphone, which turns her music into magical music note projectiles made out of light.
Moka Megumi
- Seismic Manipulation: Moka's attacks are able to create shockwaves, as well as manipulate the earth beneath her feet, being able to even cause it to explode.
Riko Chiaki
- Calling Out (Enemy Attraction): Riko has the power to attract to her location those who hear her calling them. This makes her opponents move unwillingly towards her.
- Light generation: Riko is capable of surrounding her bento pick with light energy to attack her opponents. She can also generate light expansions from her attacks into the feet of her opponents.
- Weapon Summoning: With her attack Yummy Hunter, Riko can summon different variants of her Bento Pick to attack.
- Fruits Generation: She can also create different fruits to attack her opponents.
- Juice (Water) Generation: Riko can generate juice to attack her opponents as well.
Doppel:
- Ice Generation: Yuerano spreads a thick sheet of ice beneath Riko.
- Pocket Dimension: Her Doppel traps Riko underneath the sheet of ice, protecting her by turning her into a reflection.
Maria Yuki
- Object Constrict: Maria has the power to constrict her targets unto objects, making them unable to move.
- Water Generation: Maria is capable of creating water magic to attack, mainly launching it from her Hand Puppets or covering them with water to hit her opponents.
Mel Anna
- Destiny Alteration: Known as "Future Guidance", Mel had the unique ability to alter the future with her personal reading of Tarot so it would match her predictions.
- Wind Manipulation: Mel had the power to create wind cyclones with her attack Dark Arcana.
- Electric Manipulation: Mel had the power to create electrical storms with her attack Dark Arcana.
- Flight: Etteilla hovers above the ground by barely holding her entire weight on her index finger, being able to float effortlessly through the air.
Kanae Yukino
- Internal Damage: Kanae had the unique ability to damage opponents from the inside with her magic (probably with vibrations).
- Illusion Clones: It seems that, like Kyoko and Mifuyu, Kanae had some kind of illusion magic to make copies of herself while fighting in her game animations.
Doppel:
- Flight: Due to its hummingbird-like body, Kanae's Doppel is able to fly with its wings.
- Sound Manipulation: Gibdaughter is able to align the pitch of its singing voice to resonate with any object until it shatters.
Ikumi Makino

Ryo Midori
- Truth Reveal: Through her photos, Ryo's unique magic (Reliable/Infallible Photography) can show and reveal any truth that's hidden in plain sight, such as culprits of crimes, spies, and even hidden or imperceptible hideouts or entrances, like the entrance to a labyrinth.
- Light Manipulation/Generation: With her bazooka, Ryo can create great and destructive beams of light to fight.
Doppel:
- Exposure: Paparazzo captures the essence of individuals by photographing them, unveiling hidden truths that become permanently etched in both the subject’s and the photographer's memories.
Mikura Komachi
- Relic (Object) Restoration: Mikura's unique magic allows her to restore broken or damaged objects back to their original state.
- Restoration: As a side effect of Mikura's unique magic, this magic can also "restore" other not physical objects, like the souls of dead ones (inside the bodies of living people)
- Relic Detection (Chance Manipulation): As a part of her relic restoration magic, Komachi can easily find broken/damaged objects that could be restored by her magic, like Ruri Mizuna's diary or Hatsu Tokime's sword.
Doppel:
- Earth Manipulation: Taburatsu appears from within the earth and is able to use sediment to entomb physical and even intangible things.
- Familiars: Mikura's Doppel attacks by sending forth its haniwa-shaped familiars.
Seira Mihono
- Stage Production (Reality alteration): Seira's unique magic is called "Stage Production". This power allows Seira to slightly alter reality to her convenience, in a situation that benefits her (especially when filming a movie). The known effects of this power are:
- Sound Generation: Seira can create background music or sounds around her surroundings. Seira can also use this to turn her sound into physical words to attack her opponents.
- Light Manipulation/Generation: Seira can alter the light around her to make illusions, like "special effects", or make it seem as if there is more or less illumination within a space. This can also make it seem as if there was night time or day time in the opposite time period.
- Flame Generation/Special Effects: Ruri Mizuna, restored within Seira, used Seira's unique magic to generate a spontaneous combustion to burn her diary. Seira can also use this to turn her sound physical word into flames.
- Unique Magic Manipulation/Fusion: Seira's unique magic can "fuse" and takeover other magical girls' unique magics to benefit from them, like when it used Mikura's magic to restore Ruri's fiancé's mind in the present, or Temari's magic to manipulate the actions of others for her benefit.
- Budget Opportunity (Chance Manipulation): As a side effect of her wish, Seira can easily find objects to use with her limited budget.
Temari Kira
- Soul of Language/Power of Words (Action Manipulation): Temari's unique magic allows her to control, directly or indirectly, others through her words, both the ones she says or the ones she writes. Those under the influence of her magic have to perform as they hear or read them.
- Ink/Paint Generation: Temari can create ink of colors to fight, making kanjis or hiragana to attack.
Rion Yuzuki
- Bind (Paralysis): According to Himena, Rion has the unique ability to "bind her opponents", similar to Mami with her restriction magic. Himena uses Rion's magic to stop the movement of some of the familiars of the witch Winchester.
- Light Generation: Rion has the capability to generate light attacks in the shape of pink hearts or yellow stars.
- Alternate World: Rion's wish created two timelines, one where Hotori is alive and one where she isn't. Rion was put into the timeline where Hotori was alive.
- Memory Alteration: Because of the timeline switch, some memories needed to be rewritten in order to keep consistency with the new timeline.
Hotori Yuzuki
- Call of Name/Evocation (Self-enforcement): According to Himena, Hotori has the unique magic of "Call of Name" or Evocation, making herself stronger each time she makes a bold statement while saying her name. Her magic also inflicts intimidation on her targets and makes them weak to her attacks. Himena uses Hotori's magic to make Winchester's familiars flinch.
- Super Strength: Hotori seems to have an enhanced physical body, being capable of giving strong punches and kicks capable of breaking the ground.
- Light Generation: Hotori has the capability to generate and fire light beams from her soul gem when transformed.
Meguru Hibiki
- Live Performance (Power enhancement): Meguru's unique magic, called "Live Performance" allows her to enhance the physical and magical power of those whose actions she narrates, either her allies or opponents. Because of this, she chooses to mainly not use her unique magic.
- Electricity Generation: Meguru is capable of creating thunder from her hand-shaped baton.
- Object Generation: Meguru can create objects, mainly giant gold trophies, to attack her opponents as seen in her attack Dead End of the Year.
Hotaru Yura
- Dream Space (Pocket Dimension Creation): Hotaru's unique magic allows her to create a pocket dimension of dreams within her moon-shaped pillows. Those who are trapped within her pillows will be in a dreamlike state and will disappear if they don't fall asleep.
- Puppetry: Hotaru can control her moon-shaped pillows to move by its own and attack her opponents.
- Size Manipulation: Hotaru can make her moon pillows bigger in its size to attack for her, using mainly to kill witches or trap people in her Dream Space plane.
Yuuna Kaharu
- Surrender/Submission: According to Himena, Yuuna's unique magic it's called "surrender/submission". It seems her magic allows her to stop her opponents from fighting against her, as was told by Himena.
- Gemstone Generation: Yuuna can create gemstones with her scepter to attack with.
- Weapon Transfiguration: Yuuna can turn her scepter into a gigantic banknote bundle to fight.
Ashley Taylor
- Switch (Force Exchange): Ashley, according to Himena, has the power of "Switch" to take her target's own power in exchange of her own. Himena uses Ashley's power in Chapter 12 of Arc 2 to "switch" her own magical power with Winchester's familiars to use their own force against them and destroy most of them as well as their mirror portals. Himena empowered her enemies' strength before using it, so that the reflected hit would be more effective against them.
- Puppetry: Ashley can control her teddy bear Kumanosuke to mimic her movements or to move by its own.
- Size Manipulation: Ashley can make Kumanosuke bigger in its size to attack for her, using mainly liquid colors he vomits.
- Explosion Generation: Ashley can create explosions with the teddy bear heads she controls (like with Kumanosuke).
Doppel:
- Light Generation: Ashley's Doppel attacks by unleashing a rainbow beam from its eyes.
- Mind Control: The rainbow beam Zipzap unleashes causes those caught to be enveloped in ribbons and lace, and to have their hobbies and tastes altered to be more kawaii and to bow down in reverence to the Doppel.
Sae Kirino
- Perception Manipulation (Pretension): Sae's unique magic allows her to alter the perception of her targets, making them see things associated with her actions that aren't real, such as being able to play dead or acting as an authority figure.
- Light Generation: Sae can create and fire light beams from her mask.
- Flame Generation: Sae can make flames from within her masks, similar to will o' wisps.
- Light/Flame Golem Creation: As seen in her attack Quick Death Penalty, Sae can create gigantic beings like golems made out of light and fire to attack her opponents.
Rui Mizuki
- Celestial Eye (Death Sense): Rui can sense the nearest death of other people that are in a threat situation, although these deaths can be avoided.
- Shadow Manipulation: According to her animations, Rui can use the shadow of her opponents to attack them.
Doppel:
- Flight: Rui's Doppel is able to fly independently of her.
- Teleportation: Grim attacks by teleporting itself around its targets.
- Hellfire Manipulation: Grim burns all those who interfere against it with hellfire from its eyes.
Akari Mai
- Maturation: Due to her wish, Akari's transformation is that of her 16-year-old self.
Doppel:
- Charm: Akari's Doppel is able to draw out childlike wonder from deep within a person's heart and release them of all stress, mistakenly seeing the inside of its mouth as the entrance to paradise.
- Familiars: Mary attacks by unleashing knight-like familiars on horses to attack its enemies with spears.
Kushu Irina
- Magic Draining: Kushu unique magic allows her to drain the magic of witches or other magical girls onto her swords, making herself stronger.
- Night Empowerment: Due to her wish, Kushu falls asleep whenever the sun rises, but at night she is full of energy and stronger fighting witches.
- High Speed: Thanks to this empowerment, Kushu can move at high speeds at night, similar to Sakuya.
Doppel:
- Flight: Kushu's Doppel flies around with its wings.
- Sleep Inducement: Its emergence causes Kushu to drift in and out of sleep.
- Light Manipulation: Hepialidae can scatter glowing powder from its wings, as well as fire rays of light towards enemies which then get reflected around and explode.
Kuro
- Weapons: Her powers as a magical girl are unknown, but she can telekinetically manipulate the weapons given to her as a black feather.
- Chocolate Manipulation: Matasaburo can generate and manipulate chocolate.
- Flight: Zakuros constantly fly around the witch and decorate her in hopes she will be acknowledged.
Kuroe
- Attention Attraction: Kuroe's unique magic, called "Affirmation of Existence", draws the attention from others around Kuroe directly to her. It seems this magic is unconscious and makes people focus on her temporarily or focus just their thoughts on her, as when she isn't around people that used to seem to care for her or have special attention (like Iroha or Nemu) seem to forget about her in most cases. However, when she is around those her magic affects, they open up to her. Her magic also seems to prioritize her well-being above that of loved ones or involve her with the care of loved ones.
- Ground Manipulation: Kuroe is capable of making seismic movements with her gymnastic batons and is even capable of creating big walls out of the ground.
Doppel:
- Mud Generation: Ichizo continuously produces, and attacks with, a sort of mud which solidifies quickly.
- Water Generation: In its Swimsuit form, it generates water instead of its mud.
- Shapeshifting: Kuroe's Doppel has previously taken the form of a girl Kuroe used to know.
- Flight: Ichizo continuously flies towards a light in her labyrinth.
- Mud Generation: Much like her Doppel, Ichizo continuously produces a sort of purple mud from its body.
- Cloth Manipulation: When first hatched, Ichizo destroyed Kuroe's body by extending bandages from behind itself.
Kuro
- Magical Arrows: Kuro attacks by shooting magical arrows, which are able to change direction.
Yu
- Mental Pollution: Yu's unique magic shows individuals visions of tragic and traumatic events related to their lives. This is passively done to those around her, especially if they mean harm to her and Yu doesn't seem to be able to control it.
- Detachment: She has forgotten her past, sense of morality and her mind is under a state similar to constant sedation. Due to how empty she is, Yu has an extraordinary ability to survive and persevere. She can heal rapidly without consuming magic as she views her body as a tool, however this can also be attributed to her status as a Frayed.
- Propellers: She uses the rockets in her front hooves to propel herself skyward at high speeds.
- Frayed: Yu is a kind of magical girl called "Frayed". This was due to someone interfering in space and time that caused her to become a magical girl in that timeline and she would have been the catalyst for the worst possible future for it had she not been killed.
Doppel:
- Melting Curses: Morfine's body overflows with constant curses which melt anything they touch.
Shi
- Pain Empathy: Shi was born with the power to sense the agony of others, due to her mother making a contract with Kyubey, including physical pain from victims of crime. She unwillingly experiences these traumas as her own in her dreams, but she can also actively gain information regarding a person's physical and emotional pain, as well as the exact details surrounding it.
- Synchronization: After making her own contract, Shi gains the ability to perceive not only others' pain but also their hopes and happiness. This grants her control of her empathy and even full synchronization with others' memories, having her and those she synchronizes with, immediately share all of their memories and feelings with each other.
Doppel:
- Mental Attacks: Keloid inflicts mental, rather than physical damage by emitting memories of emotional wounds.
- Pain Absorption: The Doppel absorbs emotional scars and the sins of others.
Ruri Mizuna
- Soul of Language/Power of Words (Action Manipulation): It's said that Ruri's unique magic was the same as Temari's unique magic. This means that, like Temari, Ruri's magic helped her to control, directly or indirectly, others through her words, both the ones she said or the ones she wrote.
Manatsu
- Presence: She appears in the dreams of others as a premonition, correlated to her witch’s labyrinth and an associated location (the water park).
- Coordinator's Wardrobe: Despite (presumably) not being a Coordinator, or void-type, Manatsu was able to give Kyoko and Mami the power to alternate between their normal magical girl forms and their swimsuits. Manatsu herself didn't know what Coordinators were and Mitama, despite her training, was not able to achieve this.
Kei Seto
- Dream World: Kei was a particularly powerful ghost, able to talk and appear to certain people in their dreams.
- Labyrinth: After being connected to the ghost of another girl, and consequently, her witch, Kei is able to change her labyrinth into a black void where time doesn't pass, and where not everyone is able to enter.
- Possession: After many attempts, Kei was able to temporarily take control of Madoka's body.
Minor Characters
- Paralysis: Shizuka's mother had the power to paralyze others through eye contact, at the cost of also not moving herself. She was able to train Shizuka into using this power as well.
- Infusion: A defective, lovestruck Diviner from the distant past had the ability to infuse her voice and feelings into objects, which remained and allowed her presence to be sensed or heard even after her death.
Magia Record Witches
Zenobia
- Sand Manipulation: Zenobia can manipulate sand to attack, create whirlwinds and construct sandcastles in an endless loop, destroying and rebuilding them without a clear goal.
- Debris Collection: As these toy trains roll around, they gather debris and items on the ground.
- Detachable Body: Zabaiis are able to detach the spheres which make up their bodies to attack.
Candy
- Mesmerism: Candy can induce a sense of attraction through her appearance and accessories.
- Spears: She is known to attack and impale intruders with spears.
- Flight: Harolds can float through the air.
- Decoration Collection: They seek out and collect cute items to decorate the witch with.
Stacey
- Flight: Were it not for being pinned down by her familiars, Stacey would constantly float away mindlessly.
- Locking: Ekaterinas ensure the rooftop where Stacey is located is secure, often checking locks and cleaning the area.
Rebecca
- Insomnia: Akin to her nature, Rebecca is always alert to avoid falling asleep.
