Magia Exedra Event - Mami Tomoe: A Doppel Tale
Mami Tomoe: A Doppel Tale is a Story Event in Puella Magi Madoka Magica Magia Exedra. It was released on May 20th 2026, alongside the release of Doppel of Invitations, and was available until June 3rd.
Story
One Saturday, Mami volunteers to help clean some of the damage done by the Magius incident and Embryo Eve, as middle schoolers are allowed to join. Madoka, Sayaka, and Homura also insist on coming along. Mami feels grateful for her friends but still carries guilt for having sided with the Magius. While cleaning photos of birthdays, school days, and trips, Mami feels responsible for what ruined these precious memories.
Suddenly, a Witch attacks and the group prepares to fight. A Magical Girl they are helping unleashes a Doppel, but Mami stops her friends from approaching her. They defeat the Witch instead and the girl has fallen unconscious. Mami suggests taking her to Mitama because a Doppel requires special care.
Mitama quickly stabilizes the girl and Mami asks Mitama to help her face her own Doppel. Mitama warns that it is indeed possible but dangerous. Mami insists however, and Mitama agrees, partly because she feels responsible for the Magius incident as well.
Mitama guides Mami to relax and look within. Mami finds herself in a strange, foggy space in her mind and her Doppel speaks to her. The Doppel says Mami is happy now with friends who care, so she does not need to face the pain anymore. The Doppel accuses Mami of always searching for something to fill the emptiness: first Florence, now the Magical Girls. The Doppel tells Mami to depend on her friends and forget the past.
Mami says that is not the future she wants. She remembers Madoka’s words: everyone doing what they can, little by little, will create a better future and that Mami will not run from her past anymore either. She wants to help shape the future and she accepts her Doppel as the weak part of herself. The Doppel says it will watch over her until she eventually gives up, but Mami says that will never happen.
Mami wakes up and Madoka asks if she is okay. Mami says she is fine now and thanks everyone. She repeats that together they will build the future, little by little.
