How Heroines Go On Fighting (ヒロインが戦い続ける方法) is Mami Tomoe's Heartphial Story in Puella Magi Madoka Magica Magia Exedra.
Story
Mami Tomoe reflects on her past. She made a contract with Kyubey and wished only to survive. Her family passed away, leaving her alone. She fought Witches in secret and had no one to talk to. Now she has Madoka and Sayaka by her side.
She meets them at the school gate to patrol the town together. They investigate a Witch's barrier and find a woman with a Witch's Kiss. The trio enters the labyrinth and defeats the Witch. Afterward, Mami admits she used to be scared fighting alone, thinking no one would know if she died. She is grateful to have friends now. They see a poster for "Magical Heroine Ilumina☆Lumina, Season 2." Madoka notes the show's heroines remind her of their own group.
After the others leave, Mami notices a young girl named Eina looking sad and alone. She approaches her and asks if something is wrong. Eina reveals she has been cast as the second-generation Lumina in the TV show. She is upset because she learned magical heroines are not real. Mami tells her that perhaps real magical heroines have their reasons for not appearing on TV, which is why child actors like Eina must take their place. Eina feels better and thanks Mami.
Eina invites Mami to the filming set. Mami brings Madoka and Sayaka. Eina performs a scene where she laments that magical heroines cannot tell anyone the truth and risk being forgotten. Mami reflects on how she also cannot tell Eina she is a Magical Girl. During the lunch break, Mami senses a Witch. Everyone faints. Mami, Madoka, and Sayaka enter the labyrinth and defeat the Witch.
Eina regains consciousness and asks Mami if she was the one who saved her. She says she might have dreamed it, but she felt Mami protecting her. Eina pretends not to know the truth. She asks Mami if there is anything she can do for a magical heroine. Mami tells her she can help by not forgetting them. If magical heroines know someone is thinking of them, they can keep fighting.
The new season of the show airs. Mami, Madoka, and Sayaka watch together. Eina had suggested some lines to the director. The scene reflects Mami's words about magical heroines fighting to protect people and not wanting to be forgotten. Eina texts Mami, confirming it was her idea. Mami is grateful that Eina understands. She knows that as long as someone keeps magical heroines in their heart, they can go on fighting.
