Magia Exedra Event - Sunny Day Life

Sunny Day Life (サニーデイライフ) is a two-part Memspark Unlock Event in Puella Magi Madoka Magica Magia Exedra. The first part was released on April 18th 2025, alongside the release of Baldamente Fortissimo, and was available until May 9th. The second part was released on April 25th 2025, alongside the release of Time Stop Strike, and was available until May 9th.

It covers the events of Drama CD 2: Sunny Day Life.

Story

Part I

Madoka and Sayaka have failed some of their school tests, which they blame on the time spent on their duties as Magical Girls. Kyubey dismisses the importance of test scores compared to hunting Witches, which angers Sayaka. Hitomi offers them her notes, but a competitive Sayaka refuses the help. Determined to beat Hitomi, Sayaka resolves to get a perfect score on the re-take. Madoka and Sayaka decide to ask Mami to tutor them, to which she agrees and invites them to her apartment after school.

At Mami's apartment, Homura and Kyoko are also present. Homura claims she came because she was concerned about Madoka, while Kyoko came for cake. Mami serves tea and cake to the entire group.

The girls enjoy the cake while discussing the failed tests. Madoka is self-doubtful, wondering if someone less academically bright can be a Magical Girl. Kyubey makes an insensitive comment about Magical Girls who rely only on strength, prompting a threat from Homura. Homura and Mami reassure Madoka of her intelligence and capabilities and the group begins to formulate a study plan focused on the specific subjects Madoka and Sayaka failed. Sayaka jokingly suggests using Homura's time-stop ability to cheat on the test, which Homura finds disgraceful. Kyubey interrupts the study session, reporting that their classmate Hitomi is screaming. Concerned for Hitomi, Madoka and Sayaka demand more information and then the group rushes to find her. Upon arriving near her home, they spot a white, ghost-like figure moving on a rooftop.

The white figure drops a pair of underwear and Sayaka deduces it is a "Panty Thief Familiar," an enemy of all girls, and vows to stop it. Mami and Kyoko agree, and the entire group gives chase as the Familiar flees into an abandoned building.

The Magical Girls enter the dark building, noting the Familiar has not created a Labyrinth and its magic is faint. They discuss the bizarre motive of stealing used underwear and Mami senses the Familiar's presence on their floor and confronts it. She attacks the Familiar with her signature move, "Tiro Finale."

Part II

Mami's Tiro Finale misses the target, and a black form escapes from the "ghost." The girls pursue the entity, which is revealed to be a cat that had a white shirt wrapped around it, creating the illusion of a ghost. The group discovers the cat's hoard of stolen underwear in the building's corner, which it was using to build a nest. They identify the initially dropped underwear as likely belonging to Hitomi and plan to return it. As the incident is resolved, Kyoko teases Mami for using Tiro Finale on a cat and Mami offers to cook pasta for everyone.

Madoka helps Mami cook, and they talk about self-reliance and the value of having friends to rely on. Mami serves pasta to the group, gives Kyubey cat food and everyone begins eating together. The girls enjoy the meal and compliment Mami's cooking. Sayaka teases Madoka for using a spoon to eat her pasta, which is considered childish.

The entire group attempts to eat pasta with proper etiquette, twisting it with a fork. Homura is skilled at it, while Sayaka struggles and Kyoko gives up and requests chopsticks. Sayaka and Kyoko bicker until Mami calms them down and everyone finishes their meal. After eating, Kyoko falls asleep and Madoka and Homura prepare to leave due to curfews, while Sayaka decides to stay longer at Mami's to study. The girls thank Mami and say their goodbyes.

Walking home, Madoka declines Homura's renewed offer to stop time for the test and is determined to pass on her own merit. Homura then reveals she knows about Madoka's practice of naming her special attacks and bluntly advises her to stop, calling the names "lame." She states she knows almost everything about Madoka and advises her to just be herself and focus on studying. Madoka thanks Homura for her honesty and care.

Madoka returns home and confesses to her mother about failing her test. Junko is understanding, stating that grades aren't everything and encouraging Madoka to experience life at her age. Madoka resolves to study all night for the re-take. Later, while Madoka is in the bath, Kyubey suddenly appears, and she angrily calls him a pervert and throws him out. Kyubey expresses confusion at the accusation.
