When no one has love stories to share, Felicia enthusiastically describes her loving relationship, which turns out to be with a golden retriever puppy named Jontaro. The conversation shifts to ideal lovers, with Yachiyo suggesting a wagashi confectioner, Iroha wanting someone who accepts her, and Sana shyly describing a fantasy prince before feeling self-conscious. Felicia comforts her by sharing her own admiration for Kuushinsai-sensei. When Tsuruno is asked about her ideal, she says someone who will help Banbanzai flourish, leading Yachiyo to point out that for all of them, love takes a backseat to their priorities. Iroha reflects that she hopes other magical girls' feelings of love turn out well.
Meanwhile in Kamihama, Akari is sad because Haruto is away, meaning she can't give him the chocolate brownies she made. Her friends Moka, Ranka, and Hotaru cheer her up by sharing their own chocolates, turning it into a friend chocolate exchange. When Haruto suddenly returns, Akari gives him her chocolate, but he mistakes it for "care chocolate" for someone he sees as a little sister and leaves before she can correct him. To everyone's surprise, Akari takes it well, deciding his misunderstanding proves she needs to improve herself before confessing for real.
Iroha appears, giving out thank-you chocolates with Mikage and Sudachi helping. Akari explains her failed Valentine's to the younger girls, who are amazed she even had the courage to give someone chocolate. Mikage gushes that she wishes she could have a heart-pounding Valentine's soon too, while Sudachi quietly wonders if someday she might look forward to Valentine's as well, never imagining the next one would be such a crazy mess.
