Magia Exedra Event - Defying Destiny: Forbidden Cards Call
Defying Destiny: Forbidden Cards Call (最悪の運勢を生き残れ ～禁止されても占いたい！～) is a Memspark Unlock Event in Puella Magi Madoka Magica Magia Exedra. It was released on September 18th 2025, alongside the release of 
Tenebrous Arcana, and was available until October 2nd.
Story
Yachiyo had banned Mel from telling fortunes because her power may shape the future rather than read it, however Mel disobeys the ban and reads her own fortune. The result is terrible: “If you can survive today, tomorrow will be a great day. One wrong step and you could die. Someone close to you will be extremely lucky.” Mel panics and locks herself in her room.
Momoko finds Mel hiding and reminds her they promised to help at Banbanzai. Mel refuses to go out, but Momoko goes alone and Mel reluctantly follows. They encounter many red lights, a sunshower, near slips and near misses with cars along the way. They also come across a Witch’s Labyrinth and after they defeat the Witch, they arrive safely to Banbanzai.
Tsuruno greets them, and the restaurant is very busy. Mel and Momoko make many mistakes while helping, but Tsuruno fixes each one. Momoko realizes Tsuruno’s “Good Luck” magic is countering their bad luck. Momoko, Tsuruno, and Mifuyu press Mel to explain why she broke the ban and she admits she wanted to make Yachiyo pass an audition to be the cover model for “Look Kamihama” magazine, but she'd discovered the audition is jinxed so whoever goes last gets the part. Mel wanted to predict Yachiyo would go last to make up for it and Mifuyu notes Mel could have simply predicted Yachiyo would pass. Regardless, they agree to keep her secret.
Later, Yachiyo comes home excited because she already passed the audition. She even went first, and that the judge was a regular at Banbanzai who had already planned a feature on the restaurant. Yachiyo indeed passed on her own merit.
Yachiyo figures out Mel was telling fortunes again and forgives her with a warning. She bought a cake to celebrate and Mel gets a sour strawberry, showing her bad luck is not fully gone.
The next day, as Mel had survived the bad luck day, she believes her fortune now says she will have great luck. While everyone is out, she secretly does another reading and writes down “Near Future Predictions,” predicting a new Magical Girl will appear near Yachiyo. However, she hides the predictions when Yachiyo returns.
Later that day, they encounter Raspberry and Mel becomes a Witch.
