Part 1

Chapter 1

Oriko prepares snacks, including cookies and madeleines, for Kirika, who enjoys them immensely. Oriko reflects on her mission to prevent a catastrophic future by killing Madoka Kaname before she becomes the witch that will destroy the world. Meanwhile, news reports detail a disaster in Kamihama City caused by Walpurgisnacht, whom Oriko had predicted would attack Mitakihara instead. This discrepancy leaves Oriko confused and questioning her precognitive abilities.

Chapter 2

She begins to suspect that Kamihama is the source of the instability in her predictions. Oriko recalls her original vision: Madoka Kaname would become a magical girl to fight Walpurgisnacht, exhaust her power, and transform into the worst witch. However, with Walpurgisnacht appearing in Kamihama instead, Oriko questions whether Madoka will still become a magical girl. Kirika returns, and Oriko gives her new orders.

Chapter 3

2 days later, Oriko and Kirika reunite in Kamihama City, where Oriko explains her plan to isolate and target Mitama Yakumo, the Coordinator. She also encounters Shizuku Hozumi, another magical girl, one that had been seen Kirika before, and begins to lay the groundwork for her plan.

4 days afterwards, the Kamihama Magia Union discusses the recent injuries among magical girls, with many suspecting Mitama's adjustments as the cause due to Kirika using her magic to slow the girls after they'd been coordinated. Rumors spread, and the magical girls grow increasingly suspicious of Mitama. Oriko observes the growing distrust and prepares to escalate her plan. Meanwhile, the Union members express concern for Mitama's well-being, but the atmosphere is tense as the injuries continue to mount, so Oriko sees this as the perfect opportunity.

Chapter 8

Oriko pretends to struggle in a battle against a witch, drawing the attention of Iroha and Ui. Iroha helps Oriko and after Oriko lies about her identity, saying that she's recently moved to Kamihama, Iroha introduces her to the Magia Union. Oriko feigns gratitude and expresses interest in joining them, and during their conversation, Oriko subtly hints at her knowledge of Coordinators causing issues. Iroha and the others are torn between investigating the injuries and helping Oriko, but Yachiyo decides to stay behind to hear Oriko's story while the others tend to Shizuku, who has been injured.

Chapter 9

Yachiyo listens as Oriko recounts a story about a Coordinator from her hometown who caused similar issues from her own emotional issues, leading to injuries and eventually disappearing. Kanagi urges Mitama to open up, but Mitama struggles with self-blame. Meanwhile, Oriko is ambushed by Rena, who was transformed into Mitama, Momoko, and others who set a trap for her. The Kamihama magical girls reveal they anticipated the attack and used themselves as bait to protect Mitama.

Chapter 17

Rena and Momoko confront Oriko, exposing her as the mastermind behind the attacks. Iroha confronts Oriko, demanding answers, but Oriko deflects, claiming her actions are "for the world’s sake." The group deduces Oriko and Kirika’s partnership, and as they're about to restrain her, Kirika bursts in, gets injured by the attacks, and rescues Oriko. Kirika’s Doppel runs out, making her faint and giving the Kamihama group a chance to counterattack. Oriko steps in to protect Kirika, but the Kamihama magical girls, led by Kanagi and Yachiyo, press their advantage while Oriko still refuses to surrender.

Chapter 25

Yachiyo and Kanagi offer Oriko a chance to surrender, but she refuses. She reflects on her wish and Kirika’s loyalty, vowing to continue fighting despite the overwhelming odds.

Nearly out of magical energy, she fights Yachiyo and Kanagi and struggles to protect herself. Kirika's unconscious body moves on its own and shields Oriko from an attack. Yachiyo and Kanagi exploit Oriko’s weakening state, noting Kirika’s movements are predictable due to her lack of consciousness. Oriko panics as Kirika becomes a target for most of their attacks, realizing her resolve to let Kirika become a witch to save the world is crumbling.

Chapter 27

Oriko experiences a vision of her past loneliness and confronts a version of herself, admitting what she really wanted was not “to find a reason to be alive” but rather to find someone to accept her existence. She realizes Kirika—who vowed to do anything for her—is her entire world, and this acceptance awakens a new power within Oriko, combining her strength with Kirika’s. Yachiyo and Kanagi are stunned by the surge of energy as Oriko takes on her Final form, which surpasses even a Doppel’s power.

Chapter 28

Oriko resolves to end the conflict, declaring she will protect her own world and eliminate anyone threatening it, including Mitama. Mitama explains her desire to protect her own world, which is her friends, and suggests Oriko’s obsession with salvation stems from similar motives. Oriko, recognizing their parallel struggles, hesitates to strike.

Chapter 30

Oriko relinquishes her vendetta, admitting she and Mitama both fight to protect their loved ones. Mitama proposes reconciliation, and Oriko agrees. Momoko, Rena and Kaede arrive to help Mitama, and together they carry everyone inside Mitama's shop to get better. Iroha mediates the meeting for their forgiveness, and Oriko and Kirika apologize for their actions, promising to atone. Iroha accepts their remorse, emphasizing unity among magical girls, and Oriko says that naivete like Iroha's will be the one to save the world. Oriko and Kirika return to Mitakihara and the Oriko bakes a cake for Kirika, enjoying their peace and shared life together.
