Magia Exedra Event - The Case Files of the Coordinator 4: Moratorium on Misdelivery
The Case Files of the Coordinator 4: Moratorium on Misdelivery is a Memspark Unlock Event in Puella Magi Madoka Magica Magia Exedra. It was released on August 15th 2025, alongside the release of 
Tiro Finale Liberation, and was available until August 29th.
Story
One summer morning, Mitama Yakumo is at her shop and she has set up a small café corner called Hot☆Corner. The cat, Doyle, is especially attached to her lately.
Soon, Rika Ayano and Ren Isuzu come for cakes and Mitama gives them the last two limited‑edition cakes. They chat about the Monty Hall problem, which Nanaka Tokiwa’s team discussed earlier. Mitama demonstrates the puzzle with three paper cups and a piece of chocolate. Rika picks the middle cup; Mitama shows the left cup is empty and offers a switch. Rika and Ren learn that switching gives a two‑in‑three chance of winning. After the demonstration, Rika notices her teapot is empty; Mitama goes to refill it.
While Mitama is away, Doyle meows and suddenly, Rika and Ren have three identical envelopes on the table: one contains photos from an amusement park trip (for Ren), one is a suspected love letter Rika found in her locker, and one is a mystery envelope that Emiri Kisaki found on the floor outside Mitama’s door. Emiri and Hinano Miyako arrive as well and Emiri bumps into the table, knocking the envelopes onto the floor. When they pick them up, the envelopes are shuffled, so no one knows which is which.
The group discusses probabilities and Emiri accidentally opens an envelope that contains the amusement park photos (not the love letter). Hinano argues that the Monty Hall problem does not apply because the opening was accidental, and she explains that Mitama’s demonstration worked because Mitama knew which cup hid the chocolate and purposely showed an empty one. Emiri did not know the contents, so there was a chance she could have opened the love letter. After recalculating, Hinano concludes that the odds for Rika’s first choice (the envelope she originally picked as the love letter) are now 50‑50, not two‑in‑three for switching.
Rika sticks with her original choice. It contains a six‑month flower voucher from Blossom Flower Shop and no sender name. The remaining envelope, which Emiri did not open, contains a challenge: “I’ll be waiting at Natsume Books. The password is in your favorite book. Go to volume 12, page 50!” The group realizes the flower voucher likely belongs to Mitama, and the mystery envelope found at the door contains the challenge.
Natsuki Utsuho arrives and she messages Akira Shinobu. The story emerges: Meiyui Chun accidentally left the flower voucher in Rika’s locker. Nanaka had asked Kako Natsume for a six‑month voucher as a gift for Mitama, and Kako left it with Meiyui to deliver. Meanwhile, Rika had asked Akira to print photos from the amusement park, which Akira had given to Meiyui, as she goes to school with Rika. They realize Meiyui mixed up the envelopes and the mystery of the voucher is solved, but the challenge isn't.
Mitama, Ashley Taylor, and Riko Chiaki go to Natsume Books, where they find out that a full set of “The Case Files of Doyle the White Tabby” was sold yesterday. Inside volume 12, page 50, they find an envelope with a 100‑yen coin and a message: “Turn this 100 yen into 300,000 yen by tomorrow. If you can’t, I’ll take ‘smiles’ from around Kamihama. From the Smile Snatcher.” The deadline is the next day, and Ashley suggests it is an alternate reality game (ARG) with a phantom thief.
On the way, they meet Reira Ibuki, Mito Aino, and Seika Kumi. Mito hints to go to Ashita's candy store. At the store, the clerk has a tradition of giving change as “300,000 yen” instead of “30 yen” as a joke. Mitama buys a trio of chocolates for 70 yen and pays with the 100‑yen coin and the clerk gives her 300,000 yen (meaning 30 yen) change. The puzzle is solved and the clerk gives them another envelope from the Smile Snatcher.
The next message: “Order Misola 0 from the young miss at the maid café.” Ashley takes them to a maid café in Shinsei Ward where the manager is called “miss.” Riko notes that “Mi, so, la” are musical notes. Ashley says in English, Mi = E, So = G, La = A. “Misola 0” becomes “E G A 0,” which sounds like “egao” (Japanese for smile). They order a smile and the manager gives them the final envelope.
The message: “I’ve given up trying to steal smiles. Would you like to be my friend instead? I’ve left you a small apology at Blossom. Password@Hot☆Corner. From the Smile Snatcher.” At Blossom Flower Shop, Mitama guesses the password is “third base” because Konomi Haruna mentions a fake flower called “San Ruishu” (which sounds like “sanruishu,” Japanese for third base, also called “hot corner”). Konomi confirms and gives Mitama an envelope with an invitation to a surprise party at Walnut’s restaurant.
Mitama returns to her office and confronts Momoko Togame. Momoko admits she planned the whole surprise party and that Ren wrote the colorful challenges, Rika and Ren worked together, Karin Misono delivered the envelopes and also acted as the phantom thief’s assistant. Most of the Magical Girls Mitama met that day were lying to keep the surprise hidden and the Monty Hall envelope mix‑up was a genuine accident that nearly ruined the plan. She explains the party is meant to thank Mitama for her work as Coordinator.
The party at Walnut's is put on hold indefinitely due to complications caused by the Wings of the Magius, who plan to make Tsuruno do something dangerous.
Alina Gray drinks all of Karin's strawberry milk, angry at her for standing her up.
