After saving Hitomi and the others from H.N. Elly, Sayaka says triumphantly that Hitomi was only suffering from minor relapses and is otherwise all better now. Kyoko tells her to stop goofing off and asks Sayaka about her boyfriend. Sayaka, flustered, says that Kyosuke isn't her boyfriend. Mami interrupts telepathically, warning the group that a barrier has opened up at the hospital. She says she is going to investigate it before cutting communication. Sayaka becomes scared for Kyosuke and rushes off with Kyoko and the Player, saying that he is in danger.
Arriving at the barrier, Madoka talks about how hospitals are scary at nighttime. Madoka wonders about the possibility of ghosts before asking if the Player is okay. Kyoko asks if Madoka is afraid of ghosts and jokes that Magical Girls aren't afraid of things like that. She then transitions to talking about how worried she is for Sayaka, wondering why she rushed off so suddenly and eagerly. Kyoko then connects the dots that this is the hospital Kyosuke is staying at and says that it's no wonder that she is worried. Madoka tells them that they should quickly enter the barrier so that they can help Mami and Sayaka.
Kyoko comments that the Witch in the barrier seems tough, worrying about Sayaka. Madoka is happy that Kyoko does care about them, and an embarrassed Kyoko changes the subject. As she says that they should be looking for Mami, they hear Mami shout out in pain and rush off to help her.
Mami thanks everyone for helping her and calls them her saviors. Kyoko says that she shouldn't be saying that since they are comrades, causing Mami and Madoka to go silent. Kyoko asks what's wrong with what she's said and again changes the subject to finding Sayaka. She says she is worrying about Sayaka acting out of desperation and says she can't leave her like that.
The group finds Sayaka and Kyoko tells her not to run off on her own. Sayaka apologizes to everyone for making them worry and Madoka tells the Player about Sayaka and Kyosuke's friendship. Because of this, she requests that the Player help her protect Sayaka.
Madoka asks what they are going to do since Sayaka is too worried and Mami is injured, saying that the witch might be too strong for them to handle alone. Mami orders everyone to patrol around the hospital to find the Witch, urging everyone not to give up. Madoka thanks her for the advice and promises that she will hang on as long as she needs.
Sayaka begins to tell the Player about Kyosuke. She says that he has been good with a guitar all his life, but a sudden accident made it so he could never play again. She tells the Player that she wished to heal him so that he could play and then says that the witch has some gall to appear. She asks the Player to help her defeat the Witch and make sure Kyosuke can stay safe.
Madoka asks if Sayaka and the Player are okay, and Sayaka admits that the Witch is pretty strong. However, she says, she can't whine if she wants to protect Kyosuke. Madoka says that she understands but that they have to meet up with everyone else first. Sayaka recognizes that she is right and apologizes for being so intense.
Kyoko says that they have found the Witch and asks if everyone is ready. She warns Mami and Madoka not to go too far ahead, and Madoka warns Kyoko of the same thing. Kyoko tells Madoka not to worry about her and asks her and the Player to keep an eye on Sayaka. Meanwhile, Sayaka resolves that she will help Kyosuke no matter what.
The Witch is defeated, and Sayaka celebrates that the hospital is safe once again. Mami congratulates the rookies and says they have grown into fantastic Magical girls. Madoka comments that visiting hours aren't over yet and Sayaka takes this opportunity to go visit Kyosuke. She wishes everyone farewell. Homura watches them all silently.
