5-1 Before

Homura	ねえ、[Player]。 皆がいないうちに、あなたに伝えて おきたいことがあるの。	Hey, [Player]. I need to tell you something without everyone else here.
Homura	気づいているかしら？　最近のみんな は、魔女を順調に倒しているからって 浮かれてると思わない？	Have you noticed? Don't you think that the witches are being defeated too smoothly?
Homura	少し心配なのよ。……彼女たちには わからないでしょうけど、誰も失わず に勝ち続けているのは、	It's a bit worrying. They don't realize it, but the reason we were able to win without any casualties wasn't because of their own capabilities.
Homura	自分たちの実力だけじゃなく、 あなたの存在が影響しているかも しれないのに。	It's because of the effects of your existence.
Homura	信じられないでしょうけど、私はいく つかの結末を、すでに見ているのよ。	I don't expect you to believe me, but I've already seen the endings of some of our encounters.
Homura	そのほとんどが、もっと早い段階で犠 牲者が出ているの。	We almost always started to be victims at earlier points.
Homura	たとえば、前の戦いで巴マミは油断し たせいで死んでいた。	For instance, in the last battle, Tomoe Mami lowered her guard and perished.
Homura	でも、今はどれも回避することが できている。	Yet, this time, we were capable of avoiding that.
Homura	……やはり、私の考えたとおり、あな たがいることで運命が変わるかもしれ ない。	... I knew it. Just you being here might be enough to alter fate.
Madoka	（あ、[Player]ちゃん、 ほむらちゃん。聞こえてる？　マミさ んがまた魔女の結界を見つけたよ）	(Ah, [Player]-chan, Homura-chan, can you hear me? Mami-san found another witch barrier.)
Homura	（……わかったわ、まどか。 すぐにいく）	(I hear you, Madoka. We'll be there.)
Homura	[Player]、 これからもあなたには 期待しているわ。	[Player], for now on, I shall be watching you.
Homura	さあ、急ぎましょう。 まどかたちが待ってる。	Now, let's hurry. We shoudn't leave Madoka and them waiting.

5-1 After

Sayaka	よしっ！　マミさんから見習い卒業を 認められたあたしらの実力を見たか！	Yeah! Don't mess with us! We're Mami-san's graduated apprentices!
Kyoko	浮かれてんなよ。倒したのは、ただの 使い魔だぞ。わかってんのかよ？	Don't brag. That was just a familiar. Don't you know that by now?
Kyoko	ったく。最近やたら結界が見つかるの に、どれも使い魔のばかり。魔力の無 駄遣いだっつーの。	Jeez, all the barriers we've been 'til now have been familiars like this. It's just a waste of magic to deal with them.
Mami	だけど、本当にみんな頼もしくなった わ。お世辞じゃなく、手際がものすご くよくなってる。	But, it is true that everyone has improved. I'm not flattering them either. They become more professional now.
Madoka	本当ですか！ うわあ、すごい嬉しい。わたし、なん だか自信がついちゃうかも！	Really? Oh, I'm so happy! It's like I feel a bit more confident now!
Homura	……まどか。本当にそう思う？	Madoka... Do you really think that?
Madoka	えっ？　あ、ほむらちゃん。 そ、そうだね……。うーん？　わたし はまだまだかもしれないけど	Ah, um, Homura-chan... Y-yeah, I think I do. I'm still inexperienced,
Madoka	みんなで戦うのは、その、少しうまく なったかなー。 なんちゃって。あはは。	but when I fight together with everyone, I feel like I'm getting a bit better. I'm kidding, of course. Hahaha.

Sayaka	なによ転校生！ なんか文句でもあるっていうの？	What's with you, transfer student! You've got a problem with that?!
Madoka	や、やめてよ、さやかちゃん。ほむら ちゃんはそういう意味で言ったんじゃ ないと思うから。	S-Stop it, Sayaka-chan. I don't think Homura-chan meant any harm.
Homura	気に障ったのなら謝るわ。ただ、私は 油断だけはしてほしくないだけ。 それじゃあ。今日はもう帰るわ。	I apologize if I offended you. I merely didn't want you to lower your guard. That's all. I'm taking my leave.
Homura	[Player]、 ちょっと、こっちに来てくれる かしら。	[Player], come with me.
Homura	さっき、ふたりきりの時にした話、 あれはまだみんなには言わないで。	Don't tell anyone else about our private chat from earlier.
Homura	たとえば、私が魔法の力でいくつもの 時間をやり直している……。	For instance, I have used my magic power to reset our timeline multiple times.
Homura	そんなことを言っても、どうせ信じて もらえない。 それは、あなただってそうでしょう？	No one would believe me even I told them that myself. It's the same for you, right?
Homura	私にはわかっていることなの。 ……今までがそうだったから。	...Of course it is. That's never changed.

5-2 Before

Sayaka	あ、マミさん。本当に通学路の途中に 結界があったよ！	Ah, Mami-san. There really is a barrier in the middle of the road!
Mami	……やっぱり、にらんだとおりという わけね。	Right, just as I had expected.
Mami	みんなも聞いてるかもしれないけど、 最近学校の生徒が行方不明になる事件 が続いているわ。	Everyone may not have heard this, but recently there have been reports of missing students in this area.
Mami	気になって調べてみたら、失踪現場が 今まで見つけた魔女の結界位置と重 なっていたの。	I was concerned and investigated it. I figured a witch barrier was the cause.
Madoka	さすが、マミさん。 これでさらわれた人たちも助け出せる かも。	That's amazing, Mami-san. Maybe we can save the people still inside.
Mami	まだ、そこまでうまくいくかはわから ないけど、さあいきましょう！	I can't guarantee everything will be that fortunate. Let's go!

5-2 After

Sayaka	使い魔は倒せたけど、さらわれた人は いなかったですね……。	It was just a familiar. None of the people who were kidnapped were there...
Mami	そうね。……残念だけど、さらわれた 生徒たちは、もう生きてないかもしれ ない。	You're right. ...It's unfortunate, but they may be dead already.
Madoka	本当にそうかなぁ？ わたしはまだみんな生きてるって気が するんです。	Is that so? I think they're all still alive somewhere.
Madoka	今回さらわれた人たちって、みんな 学校の生徒ですよね？	Everyone who has been kidnapped were students of this school, right?
Madoka	狙う相手がはっきりしてるような感じ がして。それって魔女のほうに何か目 的があるんじゃないかな？	I feel like I understand what it's looking for. Then, what would the witch's motive be?
Kyoko	アンタにしては珍しく推理してんじゃ んか。じゃあ、使い魔じゃなくて魔女 はどこにいるんだよ？	Oh, look who's playing detective. All right, so do you mind telling us where the witch is and not the familiars?
Madoka	え！？　え、っと……、その、生徒ば かり狙ってるんだから、……学校とか かな。	What!? Uh, um... Since it's taking away students, then maybe it's at a school...?
Mami	……なるほど。たしかに、魔女は生前 の記憶や想いに執着するから、鹿目さ んの推理には一理あるわね。	...I think you're onto something. It's common for witches to be obsessed for something in their thoughts and memories. I can see the train of thought in Kaname-san's reasoning.
Sayaka	この辺りで学校っていったら、 ……あたしたちの通っている学校も あぶないじゃない！	If it's loitering around schools, then isn't ours in danger!?
Sayaka	もし、まどかの考えが正しかったら大 変だよ。急いで校舎に向かおう！	If Madoka's right, we've got to head to our school!

Quest 5-3

5-3 Before

Kyubey	やあ、みんな。遅かったじゃないか。 でも、やっぱりここに来たね。	Hey, everyone. You're in a rush to get somewhere. But I knew you would come here.
Madoka	キュゥべえ、どうしてここに？ やっぱり魔女はここにいるの？	Kyubey, why are you here? Is there a witch here?
Kyubey	様子はどうかなと思ってね。正確には 君たち全員ではなくて、特定の人間の ことが気になったんだ。	I just wanted observe the situation. To be precise, I didn't come for all of you. There are particular humans in your group that I want to watch.
Kyubey	ひとりは[Player]、 君のことさ。	One of them is you, [Player].
Kyubey	君は他と違って、かなり特殊な魔法少 女、イレギュラーといってもいい。	You are different from the other magical girls somehow, an irregular.
Kyubey	君の力がどんなものなのか、正直まだ 僕にもわからない。だから、何か片鱗 が出てきた頃かと思ったんだ。	I honestly don't know what your particular power is yet. I'm hoping to see a glimpse of it myself.
Kyubey	そして、もうひとりは……、	The other one is...
Mami	悪いけど、キュゥべえ。いまはそれど ころじゃないの。私たちの学園が危な いかもしれないの。	Excuse me, Kyubey. This isn't the time or place. Right now, our school may be in danger.
Mami	みんな、いきましょう。 まだ捕まってる人たちもいるはず。 くれぐれも気をつけてね。	Everyone, let's go. There still might be people captured by the witch. Proceed with caution.
Kyubey	やれやれ。人間は目先ばかりに振り回 されて、本当に重要なことを見誤る傾 向があるようだね……。	Good grief. Humans are always so short-sighted that they have a tendency to miss the really important things...

5-3 After

Mami	さらわれた生徒はみんな無事で本当に よかったわ。あとは、自然と意識を取 り戻すでしょう。	I'm glad that everyone who was kidnapped is safe. Now, nature can take its course for them to regain consciousness.
Madoka	本当によかったぁ！ ねえ、さやかちゃん。それに、 ほむらちゃんもそう思うでしょ？	I'm so relieved! Right, Sayaka-chan? Don't you think so too, Homura-chan?
Sayaka	まどかぁ、そいつにそんなこと言って も無駄だよ。	Madaoka~, don't waste your breath talking to her.
Sayaka	それに、まだ転校してきて、間もない んだし。友達も愛着もない学校のこと なんて、どうでもいいんでしょ。	I mean, she just transfered here. She's not going to care about our school and she has no friends anyways.
Madoka	そんなことないよねえ？　ほむらちゃ んは、これから学校でもたくさん友達 ができるはずだもんね。	That's not true, right? Homura-chan must have lots of friends here by now.
Homura	……私なんかに ……友達なんて……無理よ。 それに、必要ないわ。	...I... I can't... make friends... And I don't need them.
Madoka	そんなことないよぉ。	Don't say that.
Madoka	きっとたくさん仲良しが増えて、あと で魔法少女になって、学校を守れたこ とを誇りに思うんだよ。	I bet you can have a lot of friends. And then when you become a magical girl, you can feel really proud about protecting everyone in the school.
Homura	私には、大勢の友達なんて必要ない。 それに、できるとも思わないし。	I don't need a horde of friends. I don't think I'm capable of doing that.
Madoka	大丈夫だよぉ。だって、わたしたちと こうしてお友達になって戦っている じゃない。	You'd do fine. I mean, you were able to become friends with us and fight beside us.
Homura	……まどか。……本当に、そう思う？	...Madoka ...Do you, really think that?
Madoka	もっちろん！ わたしたち、お友達でしょ？ それも、貴重な魔法少女の友達だよ！	Of course I do! We're friends, right? And we're valuable magical girl buddies too!
Sayaka	ていうーか、 魔法少女じゃなかったら誰が こんなやつと一緒にいるかってーの。	Frankly speaking, if we weren't magical girls, I don't see how anyone would want to be with her.
Madoka	さやかちゃん！　そんなことないよ。 ほむらちゃんにも、いいところが いっぱいあるよ。	Sayaka-chan! That's not true. Homura-chan must have a lot of good points too.
Homura	まどか……。 ありがとう。やっぱりあなたは…… 昔から変わらず優しいのね。	Madoka... Thank you. Even back then, your kindness has always been the same.
Madoka	昔から？ ……それって、どういう意味？ ほむらちゃん？	Back then? What does that mean, Homura-chan?
Homura	……。 なんでもないわ。それよりも……	... Nothing. Anyways, we should hurry.
Homura	早く行きましょう。魔女はまだ学校の どこかに隠れているはずよ。	It's possible the witch is still in this vicinity.

Quest 5-4

5-4 Before

Madoka	こうやって改めて探し回ってみると、 学校って広いんだねぇ。魔女はどこに いるのかなぁ？	Now that we're patrolling around like this, I'm surprised our school is so big. I wonder where the witch could be?
Homura	（まどか……。さっきは思わず口走っ てしまったけど、やっぱりあなたは変 わらないのね……）	(Madoka. I couldn't say it before, but you really never change.)
Homura	（何度繰り返そうとも、どの世界に行 こうとも、あなたはあなたのまま。 いつも……優しい）	(Despite the many resets and the world's changes, you are always you. You're always... so kind.)
Homura	（私の……ただひとりの大切な友達）	(My one and only... dearest friend.)
Madoka	あ、ほむらちゃん。あんまり先にいか ないほうがいいよ。ひとりになって魔 女と出会ったら危ないよ。	Ah, Homura-chan. Don't walk so far ahead like that. It'd be dangerous if you're alone when the witch appears.
Homura	（大丈夫よ、まどか。 この魔女だけじゃない。あの災厄から も、必ずあなたを守ってみせるから）	(Don't worry, Madoka. I will definitely protect you from this witch and that disaster.)

5-4 After

Kyoko	だけどよぉ、また魔女のやつは いなかったぜ。やっぱ学校には いないじゃねーのか？	This again. We haven't found the witch yet. Is it really here?
Sayaka	んー、なんせ根拠がまどかの 推理だからねえ……。	Well, we did come here on one of Madoka's hunches...
Madoka	うぅ、ひ、ひどいよ、さやかちゃん。 ……でも、やっぱり、わたしの考えが まちがってたのかなぁ？	Th-that's so mean, Sayaka-chan. ...But maybe I was wrong after all?
Homura	……あの魔女は、学校に強い執着があ る。だから、学園のどこかに潜んでい るわ。それも……、	... This witch has a strong attachment for teaching, so it's only natural for it to be lurking at a school.
Homura	せっかく集めた生徒を私たちに解放さ れているから、今度は校舎ごと結界の 中に包もうとするはず。	Besides, it released the students it took great pains to collect for us. Right about now, it would be holding itself within its barrier.

Kyoko	まどかのやつがいつもかばうし、戦力 になるから黙っていたけどさ、いいか げんカンに触るんだよな！	You're always stepping up for Madoka, but you don't say a damn thing when we fight. I've put up with it before, but now I've had it!
Kyoko	オマエ、一体何者なんだよ！ なにを知ってるんだっ！？	Who the hell are you!? What do you know!?
Kyoko	ここは、まどかたちの学校なんだぞ！	This is her school, y'know!
Madoka	杏子ちゃん、ちょっとやめてよ。今は そんなことしている場合じゃないよ。 学校のピンチなんだよ。	Kyoko-chan, stop it. This isn't the time. The school's in danger now.
Kyoko	だから言ってんのさ！　いいか。アタ シは魔法少女になったせいで、学校な んてまともに通えてない。	That's exactly why I'm doing this! Listen up. After I became a magical girl, I couldn't afford to go straight and go to school like you.
Kyoko	でも、まどかたちは違う！	But you guys are different!
Kyoko	通うべき学校もある。帰る家もある。 ちゃんと、普通の生活を送っていられ るんだ。	You have a school to attend. You have a home to go back to. You guys have a normal life.
Kyoko	いつ死ぬかわからない魔法少女に とって、それがどれだけ大事な ことだと思ってんだ！	Do you know how important that is to us when we could die at anytime?!
Kyoko	それなのにオマエ、 何か知っていたんなら、もっと早く どうにかできたんじゃないのか！	If she knows that, she should've told us and done something about it sooner!
Madoka	杏子ちゃん……。	Kyoko-chan...
Sayaka	杏子、あんた、そんなこと考えてくれ てたんだ。	You thought about us, Kyoko?
Kyoko	い、いや、その、まあ、そのなんだ？ いちおう魔法少女の先輩だからな、ア タシは。	Uh-ah-dah-yeah, I guess? I'm your senior magical girl, I suppose.
Kyoko	魔法少女の、その、遊び気分のオマエ らと違って、ずっとつらさみたいなの がわかってるつもりだからさ……。	You two always think this magical girl stuff is all fun and games, and you haven't seen its downsides so...
Mami	……まったく。 素直じゃないんだから。	Honestly, you can never spit it out, can you?
Kyoko	あぁっ！　どういう意味だよっ！！ マミ！　お、おまえには言われたか ねーよ！	Argh! What're you implying!? I don't hear anything from you, Mami
Homura	みんな、悪かったわ。私がいい加減な ことを言ったのが、いけなかったよう ね。	Sorry, everyone. I said something rash, and it seems I am to blame.
Madoka	ほむらちゃん……？	Homura-chan...?
Homura	まど……いいえ。鹿目さんの推測が当 たっていると思ったから、つい私も憶 測を言ってしまったの。	Mado... Kaname-san's hunch sounded so convincing to me that I spoke on mere speculation.
Homura	さあ、おそらく残すは魔女本体だけ。 早く見つけ出して倒しましょう。	Now, I think the witch is all that's left. We should locate it quickly.

5-5 Before

Sayaka	あれが魔女……！ あいつ、あたしたちの学校に何を しようとしてるの？！	There's the witch! What's it doing to our school!?
Kyubey	どうやら、君たちが生徒を解放してし まったことに腹を立てて、建物自体を 結界に取り込もうとしているね。	Once everyone freed the students, it appears to have become agitated and took the entire building itself within its barrier.
Kyubey	君が推測したとおりのことが、今まさ に行われようとしているわけだ。	Your prediction was right, or should I say it's exactly what you knew it would do.
Homura	なんのことかしら？	Whatever do you mean?
Kyubey	まだとぼけるのかい？ 暁美ほむら。僕の目をも欺く、 もうひとりのイレギュラー。	Still trying to pretend ignorance, Akemi Homura? The other irregular magical girl, do you think you can deceive me?
Madoka	キュゥべえ！　ほむらちゃん！	Kyubey! Homura-chan! !
Madoka	そんなことより、まだ助けた生徒も校 舎に残ってるんだよ！？　早く魔女を 倒さなくちゃ！	Does that mean there's still people we need to save? We should defeat the witch right away
Kyoko	まどかの言うとおりだ。そいつのこと は後回しだ。	Madoka's right. Save that stuff for later.
Kyoko	いくぞ、Player！ まどかたちの学校をぶっ壊そうとする なんて、このアタシが許さないぜ！	Let's go, [Player]! I'm not going to let it destroy their school!

5-5 After

Kyoko	魔女を倒して、学校は無事。アタシは グリーフシードを手に入れて、全部め でたしめでたし、ってわけだ。	The witch is dead, the school is safe, and I've got my grief seed. All's well that ends well.
Madoka	[Player]ちゃん、 杏子ちゃん、わたしたちの学校を 守ってくれて、ありがとう！	[Player]-chan, Kyoko-chan, thank you for protecting our school!
Sayaka	ふたりとも、ありがと。 あたしからもお礼を言わせて。	Thanks, you two. I'm really grateful to both of you.
Kyoko	な、なんだよ。まどかはともかく、 さやかまで。そんなに何度も言わなく ていいってのっ。	What the... I expected Madoka, but even you're doing it, Sayaka. You don't have to say it so many times.
Kyoko	こっちの調子がくるうだろ。 べつにアタシはアンタらのために やったわけじゃないかんな。	You're ruining my style. It's not like I did it for you guys or anything.
Madoka	そうだよね。	Yeah.
Kyoko	そ、そうそう。これはあくまで魔法少 女としてだなぁ……。	Y-yeah, it's just what us magical girls do...
Madoka	この学校は、わたしたちだけじゃなく て、ほむらちゃんやマミさんの学校で もあるもんね。	This isn't just Sayaka-chan and my school. Homura-chan and Mami-san go here too.

Sayaka	ど、どうしちゃったの、ふたりとも。 ふだんあんまり口を聞かないくせ して。	W-what is it? Normally you two don't talk to each other like this.
？？？	誰か～？ 誰かそこにいるのですかぁ？	Hello? Anybody there?
Madoka	え！？　あ、あの声は、和子先生っ！	Huh? That's Kazuko-sensei's voice!
Sayaka	やばいっ！　結界が解けて、見回りの 和子先生が気づいちゃったんだっ！	Uh-oh! We dispelled the barrier, and now Kazuko-sensei's gonna find us!
Homura	ここはいったん退きましょう。	Let's withdraw at once.
Sayaka	なーんか、いっつも最後は逃げるみた いだよねぇ。あたしら、学園を救った 魔法少女なのにぃ……。	Ah, man! Why do we have to run away at the end? We're the ones who saved the school~!
