To Do List

  1. Check again for the dates
  2. Make branches for both of the Kamihama and Mitakihara teams
  3. Reverse engineer between Day 13 (as a flash-forward), and Day 32 being chapters 8 to 10.
  4. Shorten it all to the bare essentials for each day.
  5. Check each of the "Another Episode" stories from Exedra and connect them to Another Story chapters from proper Record into it, as well as other potential events that may exist, but place them at the end of the previous chapter if they start at the beginning of the chapter.
  6. Check Another Story chapters and place them correctly to where they should be, compared to the normal chapters.
  7. Add introductory paragraphs to each chapter, or maybe just events, we'll see.
  8. Try to assign dates to everything, maybe work forward from Patricia, or work back from Walpurgisnacht.

Try to allow for leeway in the dates – that is, we should make it clear that they're estimated, not exact. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 22:42, 26 October 2025 (UTC)

      • The epilogue shows that they have all returned to their lives, safe and sound.

Focusing on Mitakihara until the branches fuse:

  • Day 1:

Note that I already did a bit of work on this in Magia Record Timeline, if you hadn't noticed. I never finished the entire plot though. I do suspect it doesn't fit into 32 days however. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 13:49, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
Surprisingly, looking at just the Main Story from the Exedra scripts, the entire main story takes place anywhere between 27 to 33 days. Sweet Beanie (talk) 13:55, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
And that value was determined, how...? Plus, you can't use just MS, there was a metric hellton of seasonal events. EPF (talk) 17:02, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
I definitely had a good reason for thinking it can't fit into the time of a standard time loop, so I wonder if you might be missing something. Oh, and as for seasonal events… you can't use those at all. If you take seasonal events as canon, then that expands it to multiple years, and most of the main characters should've graduated over the course of the main plot. So, seasonal events are automatically non-canon. It's just not possible to fit them in and still stay self-consistent. ~ Celtic Minstrel (talk) 19:29, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
Yeah I looked into it and it was indeed impossible. If we assume the Magia Record Prologue was indeed on a different day than when Iroha first enters Kamihama in Chapter 1, it's still impossible. Just by looking at the Magia Exedra transcript, and by looking at which times they say "the next day" I figured out that the entire main story there takes place between 31 to 38 days, but Another Story and the countless events make that impossible. I have a newfound hatred for scene 0 now for giving us exact dates. ~ Sweet Beanie (talk) 08:28, 28 October 2025 (UTC)
I figured out a way to make it work, the current titles are temporary, and after I add the events like the summer ones and stuff, I'll change the titles to make more sense. I'm just using the Day 32 titles and such for my own sanity until everything's brought together. No this isn't to have the 32 day thing, but to just group important stuff within days or groups of days together. ~ Sweet Beanie (talk) 10:06, 28 October 2025 (UTC)

  • Another: An indeterminate time earlier, at Sakae Academy, Karin Misono, a Magical Girl who identifies with Halloween, is told by her friend Kaede that she lacks "Halloween spirit," which distresses Karin.
  • Over the next several days, Karin decides to write and produce a Halloween play to reignite her spirit. She secures actors but struggles to find someone to play the wolf and to manage the production's logistics. Alina Gray, a fellow club member, offers to design the costumes but becomes frustrated with Karin's lack of directorial oversight. Alina tears up the designs and leaves the project.
    • Shortly after the argument with Alina, Karin reflects on her approach and encounters Kyoko Sakura after a Witch hunt. Kyoko chastises Karin for expecting others to handle her responsibilities and this conversation, combined with Alina's earlier words, makes Karin realize she must take full responsibility as the producer of her own play.
    • Karin finds Alina and thanks her for the lesson, and Alina gives Karin the repaired costume designs but reaffirms her departure from the project. Karin resolves to lead the production herself.
  • Another: After learning Mami Tomoe is missing in Kamihama, Sayaka Miki pressures Madoka Kaname and Homura Akemi to take her there to investigate. Sayaka states her reason for becoming a Magical Girl was to protect people, and she cannot stand by while Mami is in danger. Madoka agrees, believing they would regret inaction if something happened to Mami.
  • Another: Sana reflects on her past and recalls her conversations with Ai. Sana explained her family history: after her mother remarried a professor, her new family disowned her for not meeting their academic and athletic standards, deciding to treat her as if she did not exist. She told Ai she felt the world was better off without her. Ai disagreed, stating Sana was the first person to speak to it and that it wanted her to stay in the world. This conversation constituted the happiest time of Sana's life. Iroha checks on Sana, who states she was reflecting on that time and the person she has to thank for it.
  • Another: At the Wings of the Magius headquarters, Mami, now fused with an Uwasa, is celebrated as an icon of salvation by the Feathers, while Mifuyu reflects on her past with Yachiyo and Kanae, contrasting it with the present.
    • At Mikazuki Villa, Yachiyo shows Iroha the mugs of their former friends, Kanae and Mel. Yachiyo recalls a livelier past and expresses concern for Tsuruno and Iroha receives a text from Madoka Kaname offering help.
  • Another: Shortly after the events at the Memory Museum, in Mitakihara, Madoka, Homura, and Sayaka grapple with the revelation that Magical Girls become Witches. Kyoko suggests the Wings of the Magius might know a way to prevent this transformation and notes Kyubey's absence from Kamihama, so Kyoko resolves to confront the Wings alone.
    • The Mitakihara group shares their fears and anxieties, and they are soon confronted by the Wings of the Magius in Mitakihara. Mami appears and declares she will protect her new friends in the Wings, even from Madoka, Homura, and Sayaka.
  • Another: After Tsuruno's return to Mikazuki, Tsuruno reflects on her time with the Wings of the Magius at Chelation Land, now aware that the park was a front to harvest emotional energy from humans by frightening and then killing them. She resolves to protect the memory of her friend Mel and the place she loved.
    • Concurrently in Mitakihara, Mami confronts Madoka, Sayaka, and Homura, where she states she has locked them in Mitakihara to "save" them. Alina Gray appears, traps the three in a Labyrinth, and departs with Mami.
  • Another: At the Wings of the Magius base, Kyoko infiltrates the base and encounters a brainwashed Mami and Mifuyu Azusa. Mami's altered personality disturbs Kyoko and Mifuyu shows Kyoko "Eve," the Witch the Magius claim is proof of liberation, and reveals their plan to summon Walpurgisnacht to Kamihama to gather the energy needed to hatch it. Kyoko rejects their methods and in goes to Mitakihara, where she frees Madoka, Sayaka, and Homura from Alina's Labyrinth.
    • Later that night, Homura calls Madoka, pleading with her not to go to Kamihama, but Madoka and Sayaka decide they must go regardless, so Homura resolves to join them to protect Madoka.
  • The next day, Madoka, Sayaka, and Homura arrive in Kamihama, where they note the abnormal atmosphere and Madoka's inability to contact Iroha, concluding that something significant has already begun.
  • Another: During the citywide blackout in Kamihama, Madoka, Homura, and Sayaka, having entered Kamihama to find Mami, encounter Karin Misono. Karin directs them to Mitama's shop, where they find an unconscious Mami under the care of Nanaka Tokiwa's team. Mami recovers and insists on confronting the Wings of the Magius to expose their true intentions, as she feels responsible for having aided them, so Madoka, Sayaka, and Homura decide to accompany her.
    • Later that day, Nanaka's team guides Mami's group to the Kamihama Central Tower heliport, where a battle against the Feathers is ongoing. Mami addresses the Feathers, revealing the Magius' plans will not protect Kamihama from the approaching Walpurgisnacht and that the Magius have endangered civilians. This revelation causes dissent among the Feathers, many of whom have family in the city, and their will to fight diminishes.
    • Mami's group leaves the subdued conflict at the tower to Nanaka's team and proceeds to the Magius' main base at Hotel Fendt Hope. On the way, Mami and her friends reaffirm their trust and commitment to rely on each other, and upon reaching the entrance to the base, they meet Mitama Yakumo at the "Rumor of the Eternal Sakura" Labyrinth. Mitama informs them that Iroha has been captured inside and that Yachiyo's team has gone in after her. Madoka, Sayaka, and Homura immediately enter the Labyrinth to rescue Iroha, while Mami remains with Mitama, resolved to continue because she is not alone.
  • Another: At Sakae Academy, Alina Gray, a Magical Girl and artist, grows frustrated with her art. She feels she is merely "breeding" Witches rather than creating with intent. Her mood sours, and she dismisses an offer to submit work to an international exhibition.
  • The next day, Karin Misono gives Alina a volume of the manga Phantom Thief Magical Kirin. Analyzing it, Alina realizes that compelling art requires a deep, consistent "core" theme. She understands her own work lacks this defined core beyond the surface theme of "Alina's Beauty."
  • Over the following days, Alina consults her fellow Magius, Touka Satomi and Nemu Hiiragi. They discuss concepts like the "collective unconscious" and the "death drive" (destrudo), an unconscious human urge towards self-destruction. Mifuyu Azusa interrupts, chastising Alina for destroying her studio, which sparks an idea in Touka. Touka connects this destructive act to humanity's broader path of self-destruction through war and environmental damage, and Alina accepts this as the core of her art.
  • Sometime later, Alina unveils a new interactive art piece titled "untitled" at the Kamihama Contemporary Art Museum. The piece requires visitors to eat in the gallery and dispose of their trash, which accumulates over the exhibition. By the final day, the space is filled with garbage and Alina's fur-covered art-piece. Alina re-titles the work "Humanity's Implicit Reward," interpreting the participants' actions as a metaphor for humanity's unconscious drive to destroy its own environment.
    • Shortly after the exhibition, Alina realizes her ultimate goal is to use this destructive core to "change the world." She approaches Nemu Hiiragi and requests a new Rumor themed around the death drive, which she plans to wear like a robe to complete her "ultimate work."
  • Another: After Walpurgisnacht's defeat, Homura now lives in a timeline where she successfully saved Madoka and defeated Walpurgisnacht. Despite this victory, she feels uncertain and unfulfilled, questioning if this is the best possible outcome for Madoka.
  • Over the next several days, normal Witch activity resumes in Mitakihara and Mami, Madoka, Sayaka, Kyoko, and Homura investigate a specific Witch. During the investigation, Madoka notices Homura's troubled demeanor and Homura struggles to articulate her internal conflict about their fate as Magical Girls.
    • The group locates and battles the Witch, and during the fight, they demonstrate improved teamwork and coordination, a result of their shared experiences in Kamihama. After the Witch's defeat, Sayaka openly states she does not regret becoming a Magical Girl, citing the power to protect others and the friendships she has formed. Mami and Kyoko reconcile their past differences and agree to support each other as genuine friends as well and Madoka affirms her faith in the future and her happiness at having met everyone. Witnessing the strengthened bonds and resolve of her friends, Homura abandons her plan to reveal the tragic truth of the previous timelines to them. She resolves to remain in this timeline, choosing to face an uncertain future together with Madoka and the others, believing their mutual support will allow them to endure any challenge.

Shizuku MGS part 1 and 2:

  • Shizuku, a girl who feels disconnected from her friends and future, finds solace in a regular customer at her family's cafe, a traveler she calls "Fūten no onī-san" (Fūnī). He invites her to search for a place they can spend their lives together. Fūnī is later severely injured in an accident. Shizuku's parents refuse to help her see him, as they are not related. Desperate not to be alone, Shizuku contracts with Kyubey, wishing to be taken to Fūnī's side instantly.
    • She appears at his hospital bedside. Fūnī, believing it a dream, thanks her and dies. Shizuku is left alone.
  • Some time after becoming a Magical Girl

Shizuku gains the power to "connect spaces." She uses this power to travel the world, searching for a place to belong, just as Fūnī did. To fund her travels, she performs teleportation jobs for an unknown Magical Girl, implied to be a member of the Wings of the Magius.

Miscellaneous

Misc
  • Rains Too Shall Pass
    • Following her return from Kamihama City, Iroha is exhausted but consumed by her desire to find her missing sister, Ui, whose existence she had only just remembered. Her thoughts are also occupied by the powerful and fearsome Magical Girl she encountered, Yachiyo Nanami. Overcome by fatigue, Iroha falls asleep at her home.
    • That night, Iroha experiences a vivid and surreal dream. In it, she encounters Yachiyo, who is uncharacteristically friendly and insists that Iroha accompany her on a shopping trip. Yachiyo speaks and acts as if Iroha is preparing to move in with her, discussing household items, filing change-of-address forms, and even meeting Iroha's parents. Iroha, bewildered, goes along with the scenario, questioning if she is having a lucid dream.
    • During their outing, a sudden sun shower forces them to take shelter. As they wait, Yachiyo expresses a rare moment of vulnerability, admitting she had taken a longer route hoping for a chance encounter and something good to happen. When the rain stops, a massive rainbow appears in the sky, amazing Iroha and bringing a gentle smile to Yachiyo's face, who remarks that her detour was worthwhile after all.
    • Iroha awakens back in her own room, reflecting on the strange and impossible dream. Despite its improbability, the memory of Yachiyo's gentle expression lingers with her. The following morning, Iroha decides to leave her house a little earlier than usual, resolving to take the long way on her route, subtly inspired by the sentiment from her dream.
Tag Team Revenge!
  • An indeterminate time after Sana joins Mikazuki Villa, Iroha finds Sana, Felicia, and Tsuruno playing a card game. Tsuruno is on a winning streak and Iroha suggests Sana and Felicia team up against Tsuruno, with Sana memorizing the red cards and Felicia the black cards. Iroha then leaves to go shopping and Sana and Felicia implement the strategy. They successfully match several pairs, but their coordination fails on the final pair, allowing Tsuruno to win the round. Despite the loss, Sana expresses happiness at having fun as part of a team and Felicia, encouraged by Sana's enjoyment, challenges Tsuruno to another game.
Head of the Hotpot's Privilege!
  • After the team reunites at Mikazuki, Tsuruno organizes an outdoor hotpot meal to help the team bond after their recent conflicts and separations. She declares herself the "head of the hotpot" and insists on handling the cooking. She creates a Chinese-inspired hotpot with unconventional ingredients like peanut butter, dumplings, and hamburg steak, but the dish is a success, and the team enjoys the meal. During the meal, Tsuruno reveals her true motive: she wanted to be pampered by Yachiyo to reaffirm their relationship and ensure it had not changed due to recent events. Yachiyo feeds Tsuruno a bite of food, a privilege Tsuruno claims as the "head of the hotpot," and Yachiyo reflects on the team's growth and their uncertain future.
A Brief Treat
  • An indeterminate time within the Wings of the Magius, Touka declares an impromptu day off for the leadership of the Wings of the Magius: herself, Nemu, Alina, and Mifuyu. Despite initial reservations from Nemu and Mifuyu about the timing, Touka insists on the need for rest so the group decides to spend the day at their headquarters.
    • Touka produces board games for the group to play. During a four-player game, Mifuyu wins, which she finds unusual as Touka and Nemu typically dominate such games. Mifuyu suspects they may have let her win and Mifuyu is called away briefly to attend to a matter with a Black Feather. Upon her return, she finds Touka, Nemu, and Alina attempting to move a sofa. They reveal the entire day was a planned surprise to help Mifuyu relax as a reward for her hard work. The "main act" of the surprise is a massage from Alina, who claims to have researched acupressure. The massage is intensely painful for Mifuyu, but Alina enjoys the process immensely. Nemu and Touka observe that while the event was meant as a reward for Mifuyu, it also serves as a rare, enjoyable break for the entire leadership. Touka remarks that the true reward will come once their goal of liberating Magical Girls is achieved.
Magical Kawaii Duo
  • Ashley Taylor, a foreign Magical Girl, is filming a pilgrimage to a "sacred spot" from the Magical Kirin anime when she encounters rogue Familiars of Walpurgisnacht. Karin Misono arrives, searching for Alina amidst the city's chaos. They decide to team up to protect the town and the sacred spot. Inspired by a scene from Magical Kirin, they combine their attacks to defeat the Familiars and rescue a civilian girl. Karin takes the girl to an evacuation shelter while Ashley goes to receive a briefing from the Coordinator.
We Keep Going Together
  • Sometime after the resolution of the conflict, Ui, Touka, and Nemu decide to plan a thank-you event for Iroha to atone for the trouble they caused her. Touka and Nemu initially argue over the plan's specifics, but Ui suggests they seek advice from the residents of Mikazuki Villa. Yachiyo advises them that the act of planning the event themselves is what would make Iroha happiest. The three girls take this advice and prepare a picnic at the site of the Eternal Sakura. They surprise Iroha with homemade bento boxes, including a tofu hamburg steak she once made for them, and books to read together. Their actions deeply move Iroha and make her happy.
